1 When Jesus had come down from the hill, great crowds followed him.
Yesu peahelili kuhuma kuchitumbi, msambi wa vandu wamlandili.
2 He saw a leper who came up, and bowed to the ground before him, and said, “Master, if only you are willing, you are able to make me clean.”
Hinu abwelili mundu mmonga mweavi na mabudi, akamfugamila na kujova, “Bambu, ngati wigana, uhotola kuninyambisa!”
3 Stretching out his hand, Jesus touched him, saying as he did so, “I am willing; become clean.” Instantly he was made clean from his leprosy;
Yesu akatalambula chiwoko, akampamisa na kujova, “Nigana! Unyambasika!” Bahapo mundu yula akalama mabudi gaki.
4 and then Jesus said to him, “Be careful not to say a word to anyone, but go and show yourself to the priest, and offer the gift directed by Moses, as evidence of your cure.”
Kangi Yesu akamjovela, “Yuwanila! Kotoka kumjovela mundu yeyoha yula, ndi uhamba ukajilangisa kwa mteta wa Chapanga na kumpela teta ngati chealagizi Musa ya kulangisa kuvya unyambiswi.”
5 After Jesus had entered Capernaum, a centurion in the Roman army came up to him, entreating his help.
Yesu peayingili ku Kapelanaumu, mkulu wa manjolinjoli mmonga wa Loma akambwelela na kujova amtangatila,
6 “Sir,” he said, “my manservant is lying ill at my house with a stroke of paralysis, and is suffering terribly.”
akamjovela “Bambu mtumisi wangu agonili munyumba, ana utamu wa kupola na iviniswa neju.”
7 “I will come and cure him,” answered Jesus.
Yesu akamjovela, “Yati nibwela kumlamisa.”
8 “Sir,” the centurion went on, “I am unworthy to receive you under my roof; but only speak, and my manservant will be cured.
Mkulu wa manjolinjoli yula akajova, “Bambu, nigana lepi veve kuyingila munyumba yangu. Nambu ujova ndu lilovi na mtumisi wangu yati ilama.
9 For I myself am a man under the orders of others, with soldiers under me; and, if I say to one of them ‘Go,’ he goes, and to another ‘Come,’ he comes, and to my slave ‘Do this,’ he does it.”
Muni, hati namwene namundu mwenivii pahi ya uhotola wa vakulu vangu na nivii na manjolinjoli pahi yangu. Nikuvalagiza manjolinjoli vevavi pahi yangu. Nikumjovela mmonga, ‘Amba!’ Ihamba, na yungi, ‘Bwela,’ Ndi ibwela na mtumisi wangu, henga aga! Namwene ihenga mewa.”
10 Jesus was surprised to hear this, and said to those who were following him, “Never I tell you, in any Israelite have I met with such faith as this!
Yesu peayuwini malovi ago akakangasa neju, akavajovela vandu vevamlandai vala, “Nikuvajovela chakaka, niwene lepi mundu mweavi na sadika yivaha ngati mwenuyu pa Isilaeli.
11 Yes, and many will come in from East and West and take their places beside Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven;
Hinu, nikuvajovela vandu vamahele valabwela kuhuma kwe lihumila lilanga na kuhuma kwa litipama lilanga, vene valatama pamselebuko wa chakulya pamonga na Ibulahimu na Izaki na Yakobo. Muunkosi wa kunani kwa Chapanga.
12 while the heirs to the kingdom will be banished into the darkness outside; there, there will be weeping and grinding of teeth.”
Nambu vala vevaganikiwi kuvya muunkosi wenuwo yati vakuvataga kuvala, kuchitita, kwenuko yati vivemba na kuyaga minu.”
13 Then Jesus said to the centurion, “Go now, and it will be according to your faith.” And the man was cured that very hour.
Kangi, Yesu amjovili mkulu wa manjolinjoli wa ku Loma, “Wuya kunyumba, gavyai mewa ngati cheusadika.” Ndi mtumisi waki alamili lukumbi lulalula.
14 When Jesus went into Peter’s house, he saw Peter’s mother-in-law prostrated with fever.
Yesu ahikili panyumba ya Petili, amkolili nyina wa mdala waki Petili agonili pachitanda, ndava ya utamu.
15 On his taking her hand, the fever left her, and she rose and began to take care of him.
Hinu, Yesu akampamisa mau yula chiwoko, na utamu waki wamlekili, akayima kumtelekela.
16 In the evening the people brought to Jesus many who were possessed by demons; and he drove out the spirits with a word, and cured all who were ill,
Payavi kimihi, vamletili vandu vamahele vevatalaliwi na mizuka, mwene ayivingili mizuka kwa njila ya mawuliwu gaki. Ndi avalamisi vandu voha vevavi na utamu.
17 in fulfillment of these words in the prophet Isaiah – ‘He took our infirmities on himself, and bore the burden of our diseases.’
Akitili chenicho, muni gatimila malovi geajovili Isaya mweavi mlota wa Chapanga, “Mwene atolili mang'ahiso gitu na ulenda witu, na kugega matamu gitu.”
18 Seeing a crowd around him, Jesus gave orders to go across.
Yesu paauweni msambi wa vandu umtindili, akavalagiza vawuliwa vaki vakupuka kuhamba kumwambu ya nyanja.
19 A teacher of the Law came up to him, and said, “Teacher, I will follow you wherever you go.”
Muwula mmonga wa Malagizu amhambili Yesu, akamjovela, “Muwula, nene yati nikukulanda kwokwoha kwewihamba.”
20 “Foxes have holes,” answered Jesus, “and wild birds their nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay his head.”
Yesu akayangula, “Lihogo lina mbugu na videge vina hisakanilu, nambu Mwana wa Mundu avi lepi na pandu pa kupumulila.”
21 “Master,” said another, who was a disciple, “let me first go and bury my father.”
Mundu yungi pagati ya vawuliwa vaki akamjovela, “Bambu, nileka hoti nihamba nikamuzika Dadi wangu.”
22 But Jesus answered, “Follow me, and leave the dead to bury their dead.”
Nambu Yesu akamyangula, “Unilanda, valeka vevafwili vavazika vandu vavi vevafwili.”
23 Then he got into the boat, followed by his disciples.
Yesu akayingila muwatu na vawuliwa vaki vakahamba pamonga nayu.
24 Suddenly so great a storm came up on the sea, that the waves broke right over the boat. But Jesus was asleep;
Bahapo chimbungululu chivaha neju chikahumalila na manji gakatimbugana neju, hati gakatumbula kuugubika watu, nambu Yesu avi mulugono.
25 and the disciples came and roused him. “Master,” they cried, “save us; we are lost!”
Vawuliwa vakamhambila na kumuyumusa peagonili vakamjovela, “Bambu!” “Utisangula tifwa!”
26 “Why are you so timid?” he said. “You of little faith!” Then Jesus rose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and a great calm followed.
Yesu akavajovela, “Nyenye vandu mwemusadika padebe! Ndava kyani muyogopa?” Hinu akayima akahakalila mpungu na manji gakutimbugana neju na nyanja yikaguna kukavya nuu.
27 The men were amazed, and exclaimed, “What kind of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey him!”
Vandu vakakangasa na kujova “Wu, mundu mwenuyu avi wuli? Hati mpungu na manji gakutimbugana neju vikumyidikila!”
28 On getting to the other side – the region of the Gadarenes – Jesus met two men who were possessed by demons, coming out of the tombs. They were so violent that no one was able to pass that way.
Yesu peakupwiki kumwambu ya nyanja akahika pamulima wa Wagadala, kwenuko akonganiki na vandu vavili vana mizuka vihumila kumatinda. Vandu venavo vavi na mizuka ya kuyogofya neju. Hati vandu valingili lepi kupita njila yeniyo.
29 Suddenly they shrieked out, “What do you want with us, Son of God? Have you come here to torment us before our time?”
Vakaywanga vijova, “Una kyani na tete veve Mwana wa Chapanga? Ubweli kutilemasa kwakona hati lukumbi lwitu?”
30 A long way off, there was a herd of many pigs, feeding;
Papipi na penapo kwavili na msambi wa maguluvi gegilya.
31 and the foul spirits began begging Jesus, “If you drive us out, send us into the herd of pigs.”
Hinu penapo mizuka yila yikamjovela Yesu, “Ngati ukutiwusa, tileka tihamba tikayingili mumsambi wa maguluvi gala.”
32 “Go,” he said. The spirits came out, and entered the pigs; and the whole herd rushed down the steep slope into the sea, and died in the water.
Yesu akayangula “Ena muhamba.” Penapo gakawuka kwa vandu na kugayingila maguluvi. Msambi woha wa maguluvi wajumbili pamuhelelu na kujwigama munyaja, ndi goha gafwili mumanji.
33 At this the men who tended them ran away and went to the town, carrying the news of all that had occurred, and of what had happened to the possessed men.
Vala vadimaji va maguluvi, vajumbili na kuhamba kumuji. Ndi vavadandaulili malovi na mambu gegavakolili vandu vavili vala vevatalaliwi na mizuka.
34 At the news the whole town went out to meet Jesus, and, when they saw him, they entreated him to go away from their region.
Hinu, vandu voha pamuji wula, vakawuka vakamhambila Yesu, pevamuweni vakamgana, awukayi pamulima wavi.
