Matthew 4
1 Then Jesus was led up into the wilderness by the Spirit to be tempted by the devil.
୧ଏଚିବେ଼ଲା ଜୀସୁ ସୟତାନ ତା଼ଣାଟି ତାୟିପାରି କିୱି ଆ଼ହାଲି ସୁଦୁଜୀୱୁ ଲ଼କୁ ହିଲାଆ ଟା଼ୟୁତା ଅ଼ତେ ।
2 And, after he had fasted for forty days and forty nights, he became hungry.
୨ଜୀସୁ ରୀ କ଼ଡ଼ି ଦିନା ଲା଼ଆଁୟାଁ ମାଦେନା ଏ଼ନାଆଁ ତିନାଆନା ଉପାସା କିହାଁ ହାକି ଆ଼ତେସି ।
3 The Tempter came to him, and said: “If you are God’s Son, tell these stones to become loaves of bread.”
୩ଏଚିବେ଼ଲା ସୟତାନ ତାନି ଦାରିତା ୱା଼ହାନା ଏଲେଇଚେ, “ନୀନୁ ମାହାପୂରୁ ମୀର୍ଏଣାତି ଇଚିସାରେ ଈ ୱାଲ୍କାଣି ରୂଟି ଆ଼ହାଲି ହୁକୁମି ହୀମୁ ।”
4 But Jesus answered, “Scripture says – ‘It is not on bread alone that a person is to live, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’”
୪ସାମା ଜୀସୁ ଏଲେଇଚେସି, “ଦାର୍ମୁ ସା଼ସ୍ତେରିତା ରା଼ସ୍କି ଆ଼ହାମାନେ ମାଣ୍ସି ୱାର୍ଇ ରୂଟି ତିଞ୍ଜାନା ନୀଡଅସି, ସାମା ମାହାପୂରୁ ଗୂତିଟି ହ଼ଚିମାନି ବ଼ଲୁ ତଲେ ନୀଡିନେସି ।”
5 Then the devil took him to the Holy City, and, placing him on the parapet of the temple, said to him,
୫ଡା଼ୟୁ ସୟତାନ ଜୀସୁଇଁ ସୁଦୁ ଗା଼ଡ଼ା ଜିରୁସାଲମତା ଅ଼ହାନା, ମାହାପୂରୁ ଇଲୁ ତୂଡ଼ିୟା ଲାକ ନିପ୍ହାନା,
6 “If you are God’s Son, throw yourself down, for scripture says – ‘He will give his angels commands about you, and on their hands they will lift you up, so you do not even strike your foot against a stone.’”
୬ଏଲେଇଚେ, “ନୀନୁ ମାହାପୂରୁ ମୀର୍ଏଣାତି ଇଚିହିଁ ଇମ୍ବାଟି ଡ଼଼ଇକା ଗେ଼ମ୍ବାମୁ,” ଦାର୍ମୁ ସା଼ସ୍ତେରିତା ରା଼ସ୍କି ଆ଼ହାମାନେ, ନିଙ୍ଗ ଜାତ୍ନୁ କିହାଲିତାକି ମାହାପୂରୁ ତାନି ଦୂତୁୟାଁଇଁ ହୁକୁମି ହୀନେସି; “ନୀ କଡାୟାଁ ଏ଼ନିକିଁ ୱାଲ୍କାଣା ଆ଼ଡାଉ ଇଞ୍ଜାଁ ଦୂତୁୟାଁ ନିଙ୍ଗ କେସ୍କାତଲେ ପେର୍ହା ଆସ୍ତାନୁ ।”
7 “Scripture also says,” answered Jesus, “‘You must not tempt the Lord your God.’”
୭ଜୀସୁ ଏ଼ଦାନି ଏଲେଇଚେସି, “ଦାର୍ମୁ ସା଼ସ୍ତେରିତା ରା଼ସ୍କି ଆ଼ହାମାନେ, ନୀନୁ ପ୍ରବୁ ନୀ ମାହାପୂରୁଇଁ ତାୟିପାରି କିଆନି ।”
8 The third time, the devil took Jesus to a very high mountain, and, showing him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor, said to him:
୮ଅ଼ଡ଼େ ୱେଣ୍ତେ ସୟତାନ ଜୀସୁଇଁ କାଜା ହ଼ରୁ ଲାକ ଅ଼ହାନା ଦାର୍ତିତି ବାରେ ରା଼ଜି ଅ଼ଡ଼େ ଏମ୍ବାତି ବାରେ ଅ଼ଜୁ ଅ଼ଡ଼େ ଜୂପ୍କା ତ଼ସାନା ଏଲେଇଚେ,
9 “All these I will give you, if you will fall at my feet and worship me.”
୯“ନୀନୁ ନାଙ୍ଗେ ମେଣ୍ତାକୁତାନା ଜହରା କିୟାଦି ଇଚିହିଁ ନା଼ନୁ ଈ ବାରେ ନିଙ୍ଗ ହିୟାଇଁ ।”
10 Then Jesus said to him, “Go away, Satan! For scripture says – ‘You must worship the Lord your God, and worship him only.’”
୧୦ଏମ୍ବାଟିଏ ଜୀସୁ ଏଲେଇଚେସି, “ଏ଼ ସୟତାନ ନା଼ ତା଼ଣାଟି ହେକ ହାଲାମୁ! ଦାର୍ମୁ ସା଼ସ୍ତେରିତା ରା଼ସ୍କି ଆ଼ହାମାନେ, ‘ୱାର୍ଇ ନୀ ପ୍ରବୁ ମାହାପୂରୁଇଁ ଜହରା କିଦି ଅ଼ଡ଼େ ୱାର୍ଇ ତାଙ୍ଗେଏ ସେ଼ବା କିଦି ।’”
11 Then the devil left him alone, and angels came and helped him.
୧୧ଏ଼ ଦେବୁଣିଏ ସୟତାନ ଜୀସୁଇଁ ପିସାନା ହାଜାତୁସ୍ତେ; ଅ଼ଡ଼େ ଦୂତୁୟାଁ ୱା଼ହାନା ଏ଼ୱାଣି ସେ଼ବା କିତୁ ।
12 When Jesus heard that John had been arrested, he returned to Galilee.
୧୨ଜହନଇଁ କାୟିଦି ଇଲୁତା ଇଟିତେରି ଇଞ୍ଜିଁ ୱେଞ୍ଜାନା ଜୀସୁ ଏମ୍ବାଟିଏ ଗୁଚା ଆ଼ହାନା ଗାଲିଲିତା ୱା଼ତେସି;
13 Afterward, leaving Nazareth, he went and settled at Capernaum, which is by the side of the sea, within the borders of Zebulun and Naphtali;
୧୩ଏ଼ୱାସି ନା଼ଜରିତତା ଡ଼ୟାଆତେସି, ସାମା କପର୍ନାହୁମତା ଡ଼ୟାଲି, ସୁବୁଲୁନ୍ ଅ଼ଡ଼େ ନପ୍ତାଲିତା ମାନି ର଼ ଗାଲିଲି ସାମ୍ଦୁରି ଗାଟୁତା ମାନି ଗା଼ଡ଼ାତା ହାଚେସି ।
14 in fulfillment of these words in the prophet Isaiah –
୧୪ଏ଼ନିକିହିଁ ମାହାପୂରୁ ଅଣ୍ପୁତି ବ଼ଲୁ ୱେହ୍ନି ଜିସାୟତି ହା଼ଡା ସାତା ଆ଼ନେ, ଏ଼ୱାସି ଏଲେଇଞ୍ଜାମାଚେସି;
15 ‘The land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, the land of the Road by the sea, and beyond the Jordan, with Galilee of the Gentiles –
୧୫“ସୁବୁଲୁନ୍ ଦେ଼ସା ଅ଼ଡ଼େ ନପ୍ତାଲି ଦେ଼ସା ସାମ୍ଦୁରି ଡାଗେ ଇଞ୍ଜାଁ ଜର୍ଦନ କାଡା ଆତାଲାୱାକିତି, ଜୀହୁଦିଆ଼ଆତି ଗାଲିଲି!
16 The people who were living in darkness have seen a great light, and, for those who were living in the shadow-land of death, a light has dawned!’
୧୬ଆନ୍ଦେରିତା ବାସା କିହିମାନି ଲ଼କୁ କାଜା ଉଜେଡ଼ି ମେସ୍ତେରି ହା଼କିତି ନା଼ସ୍କା ଅ଼ଡ଼େ ସାହ୍ଡ଼ାତା ମାନି ଲ଼କୁତାକି ଉଜେଡ଼ି ତ଼ଞ୍ଜାଆ଼ନେ ।”
17 At that time Jesus began to proclaim – “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”
୧୭ଏ଼ ବେ଼ଲାଟିଏ ଜୀସୁ ତାନି କାତା ୱେ଼କ୍ହାଲି ମା଼ଟ୍ହେସି, “ମୀ ପା଼ପୁ ପିସାନା ମ଼ନ ୱେଟ୍ହା କଡାଦୁ, ଏ଼ନାଆଁତାକି ଇଚିହିଁ ଲାକପୂରୁ ରା଼ଜି ଏଗାୱା଼ହିମାନେ ।”
18 As Jesus was walking along the shore of the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers – Simon, also known as Peter, and his brother Andrew – casting a net into the sea; for they were fishermen.
୧୮ଜୀସୁ ଗାଲିଲି ସାମ୍ଦୁରି ଗାଟୁଟି ହାଜିମାଚାଟି ସିମନ ଇନି ପିତର ଅ଼ଡ଼େ ତାନି ତାୟି ଆନ୍ଦ୍ରିୟ, ଈ ତାୟି ରିଆରି ସାମ୍ଦୁରିତା ଜା଼ଲା ମେତ୍ହି ମାଚାଣି ମେସ୍ତେସି, ଏ଼ନାଆଁତାକି ଇଚିହିଁ ଏ଼ୱାରି ମୀଣ୍କା ଆହ୍ନାରି ମାଚେରି ।
19 “Come and follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will teach you to fish for people.”
୧୯ଜୀସୁ ଏ଼ୱାରାଇଁ ଏଲେଇଚେସି, “ନା଼ ଜେ଼ଚ ୱା଼ଦୁ, ନା଼ନୁ ମିଙ୍ଗ ଲ଼କୁଣି ଆହ୍ନାଣି ଜା଼ପ୍ହାଇଁ ।”
20 The two men left their nets at once and followed him.
୨୦ଏଚେଟିଏ ଏ଼ୱାରି ଦେବୁଣିଏ ଜା଼ଲା ପିସାନା ଏ଼ୱାଣି ଜେ଼ଚ ହାଚେରି ।
21 Going further on, he saw two other men who were also brothers, James, Zebedee’s son, and his brother John, in their boat with their father, mending their nets. Jesus called them,
୨୧ଏମ୍ବାଟିଏ ଜୀସୁ ନ଼କିତା ହାଜାନା ଜେବଦି ମୀର୍କା ଜାକୁବ ଅ଼ଡ଼େ ଏ଼ୱାଣି ତାୟି ଜହନ ଦ଼ରୁଗାଟାସି ଇଞ୍ଜାଁ ଅ଼ଡ଼େ ରିଆରି ତାୟିୟାଁ ତାମି ଆ଼ବା ଜେବଦି ତଲେ ଡଂଗତା ଜା଼ଲା ମୁଦା କିହିମାଚାଣି ମେସାନା ଏ଼ୱାରାଇଁ ଜିକେଏ ହା଼ଟିତେସି ।
22 and they at once left their boat and their father, and followed him.
୨୨ଏଚେଟିଏ ଏ଼ୱାରି ଏ଼ ଦେବୁଣିଏ ଡଂଗ ଅ଼ଡ଼େ ତାମି ଆ଼ବାଇଁ ପିସାନା ଜୀସୁ ଜେ଼ଚ ହାଚେରି ।
23 Jesus went all through Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom, and curing every kind of disease and every kind of sickness among the people;
୨୩ଡା଼ୟୁ ଜୀସୁ ଗାଲିଲି ଦେ଼ସାତା ରେ଼ଜି ରେ଼ଜିହିଁ ଜୀହୁଦି ଲ଼କୁତି କୁଟମି ଇଲ୍କାଣା ଜା଼ପ୍ହିହିଁ, ମାହାପୂରୁ ରା଼ଜିତି ନେହିଁ କାବ୍ରୁ ୱେସିହିଁ ର଼ଗଗାଟି ଲ଼କୁଣି ନେହିଁ କିହାଲି ମା଼ଟ୍ହେସି,
24 and his fame spread all through Syria. They brought to him all who were ill with any form of disease, or who were suffering pain – any who were either possessed by demons, or were lunatic, or paralyzed; and he cured them.
୨୪ଅ଼ଡ଼େ ଏ଼ୱାଣି କାତା ଦେ଼ସାତି ସା଼ରିୱାକି ଇଞ୍ଜାଁ ସିରିୟା ଦେ଼ସାତା ଜିକେଏ ୱେ଼ଙ୍ଗାହାଚେ, ଇଞ୍ଜାଁ ଲ଼କୁ ବୂତୁୟାଁ ଆଲ୍ଗା ମାଚାରାଇଁ, କାଟିୱେତାରାଇଁ, ଇଞ୍ଜାଁ ଟଟ ୱା଼ୟିତାରାଇଁ; ଇଲେତି ହା଼ରେକା ର଼ଗଟି କସ୍ତ ଆ଼ହିମାନାରାଇଁ ଜୀସୁ ନ଼କିତା ତାତେରି, ଇଞ୍ଜାଁ ଏ଼ୱାସି ଏ଼ୱାରାଇଁ ନେହିଁ କିତେସି ।
25 He was followed by large crowds from Galilee, the district of the Ten Towns, Jerusalem, Judea, and from beyond the Jordan.
୨୫ଅ଼ଡ଼େ ଗାଲିଲି, ଦସଗଟା ନା଼ସ୍କା, ଜିରୁସାଲମ, ଜୀହୁଦା ଅ଼ଡ଼େ ଜର୍ଦନତି ଏ଼ ଗାଟୁତା ମାନି ନା଼ସ୍କାଟି ହା଼ରେକା ଲ଼କୁ ଜୀସୁ ଜେ଼ଚ ହାଚେରି ।
