Luke 6
1 One Sabbath Jesus was walking through cornfields, and his disciples were picking the ears of wheat, and rubbing them in their hands, and eating them.
Es geschah aber am zweitersten Sabbat, daß er durch die Kornfelder zog, und seine Jünger rauften die Aehren aus und aßen sie, indem sie sie mit den Händen ausdrückten.
2 “Why are you doing what it is not allowable to do on the Sabbath?” asked some of the Pharisees.
Etliche von den Pharisäern aber sagten: warum thut ihr, was man am Sabbat nicht thun darf?
3 Jesus’ answer was, “Haven’t you read even of what David did, when he was hungry, he and his companions –
Und Jesus antwortete ihnen: habt ihr auch davon nicht gelesen, was David that, als ihn und seine Genossen hungerte?
4 That he went into the house of God, and took the consecrated bread and ate it, and gave some to his companions, though only the priests are allowed to eat it?”
Wie er in das Haus Gottes gieng und nahm die Schaubrote, und aß und gab seinen Genossen, die doch niemand essen darf, außer allein die Priester?
5 Then Jesus added, “The Son of Man is lord even of the Sabbath.”
Und er sagte zu ihnen: der Sohn des Menschen ist Herr über den Sabbat.
6 On another Sabbath Jesus went into the synagogue and taught; and there was a man there whose right hand was withered.
Es geschah aber an einem anderen Sabbat, daß er in die Synagoge trat und lehrte. Und es war daselbst ein Mensch, dessen rechte Hand war geschwunden.
7 The teachers of the Law and the Pharisees watched Jesus closely, to see if he would work cures on the Sabbath, so that they might find a charge to bring against him.
Die Schriftgelehrten und die Pharisäer aber lauerten auf ihn, ob er am Sabbat heile, um eine Klage gegen ihn zu gewinnen.
8 Jesus, however, knew what was in their minds, and said to the man whose hand was withered, “Stand up and come out into the middle.” The man stood up,
Er aber wußte um ihre Gedanken; er sagte aber zu dem Mann mit der geschwundenen Hand: auf, trete vor; und er erhob sich und stand.
9 and Jesus said to them, “I ask you, is it allowable to do good on the Sabbath – or harm? To save a life, or let it perish?”
Jesus aber sprach zu ihnen: ich frage euch, ob es erlaubt ist, am Sabbat Gutes zu thun oder Böses zu thun? ein Leben zu retten, oder zu verderben?
10 Then, looking around at them all, he said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” The man did so; and his hand had become sound.
Und nachdem er sie alle rings herum angesehen, sagte er zu ihm: strecke deine Hand aus. Er aber that es, und seine Hand ward hergestellt.
11 But the teachers of the Law and the Pharisees were mad with rage, and consulted together what they could do to Jesus.
Sie aber wurden ganz unsinnig und beredeten untereinander, was sie Jesus anthun möchten.
12 Now about that time, Jesus went out, up the hill, to pray, and spent the whole night in prayer to God.
Es geschah aber in diesen Tagen, daß er hinausgieng zum Gebirg zu beten, und er brachte die Nacht zu im Gebet zu Gott;
13 When day came, he summoned his disciples, and chose twelve of them, whom he also named ‘apostles.’
und als es Tag wurde, rief er seine Jünger herbei, und wählte zwölf von ihnen aus, die er auch Apostel nannte:
14 They were Simon (whom Jesus also named Peter), and his brother Andrew, James, John, Philip, Bartholomew,
Simon, dem er auch den Namen Petrus gab, und Andreas, seinen Bruder, und Jakobus, und Johannes, und Philippus, und Bartholomäus,
15 Matthew, Thomas, James son of Alphaeus, Simon known as the Zealot,
und Matthäus, und Thomas, und Jakobus den Sohn des Alphäus, und Simon mit dem Namen der Eiferer,
16 Judas son of James, and Judas Iscariot, who proved a traitor.
und Judas den Sohn des Jakobus, und Judas Iskarioth, der zum Verräter geworden ist.
17 Afterward Jesus came down the hill with them and took his stand on a level place. With him were a large crowd of his disciples, and great numbers of people from the whole of Judea, Jerusalem, and the coast district of Tyre and Sidon,
Und nachdem er mit ihnen heruntergestiegen, stellte er sich auf ein ebenes Feld mit einer großen Menge von seinen Jüngern, nebst einer großen Versammlung des Volkes von ganz Judäa und Jerusalem und der Küste von Tyrus und Sidon, die gekommen waren ihn zu hören und sich von ihren Krankheiten heilen zu lassen
18 who had come to hear him and to be restored to health. Those, too, who were troubled with foul spirits were cured;
(auch die von unreinen Geistern Belästigten wurden geheilt;
19 and everyone in the crowd was trying to touch him, because a power went out from him which restored them all.
und alle Welt suchte ihn anzurühren, weil eine Kraft von ihm ausgieng und alle heilte).
20 Then, raising his eyes and looking at his disciples, Jesus said: “Blessed are you who are poor, for yours is the kingdom of God.
Und er hob seine Augen auf über seine Jünger und sprach: Selig ihr Arme, denn euer ist das Reich Gottes.
21 Blessed are you who hunger now, for you will be satisfied. Blessed are you who weep now, for you will laugh.
Selig die ihr jetzt hungert, den ihr werdet gesättigt werden. Selig, die ihr jetzt weinet, denn ihr werdet lachen.
22 Blessed are you when people hate you, and when they expel you from among them, and insult you, and reject your name as an evil thing – because of the Son of Man.
Selig seid ihr, wenn euch die Leute hassen, und wenn sie euch ausschließen und beschimpfen, und euren Namen ausstoßen als einen bösen wegen des Sohnes des Menschen.
23 Then indeed you may be glad and dance for joy, for be sure that your reward in heaven will be great; for that is what their ancestors did to the prophets.
Freuet euch an diesem Tag und jubelt, denn siehe euer Lohn ist groß im Himmel; denn ebenso haben ihre Väter den Propheten gethan.
24 But alas for you who are rich, for you have had your comforts in full.
Dagegen wehe euch Reichen, denn ihr habt euren Trost dahin.
25 Alas for you who are sated now, for you will hunger. Alas for you who laugh now, for you will mourn and weep.
Wehe euch, die ihr jetzt voll seid, denn ihr werdet hungern. Wehe, die ihr jetzt lachet, den ihr werdet trauern und weinen.
26 Alas for you when everyone speaks well of you; for this is what their ancestors did to the false prophets.
Wehe, wenn alle Welt euch schön thut, denn ebenso haben ihre Väter den Lügenpropheten gethan.
27 But to you who hear I say – love your enemies, show kindness to those who hate you,
Aber euch, die ihr zuhört, sage ich: liebet eure Feinde, thut wohl denen, die euch hassen;
28 bless those who curse you, pray for those who insult you.
segnet, die euch fluchen, betet für die, welche euch beschimpfen.
29 When someone gives one of you a blow on the cheek, offer the other cheek as well; and, when anyone takes away your cloak, do not keep back your coat either.
Dem der dich auf die Wange schlägt, biete auch die andere, und dem, der deinen Mantel nimmt, weigere auch den Rock nicht.
30 Give to everyone who asks of you; and, when anyone takes away what is yours, do not demand its return.
Jedem, der dich bittet, gib, und von dem, der dir das Deinige nimmt, fordere es nicht zurück.
31 Do to others as you wish them to do to you.
Und wie ihr wollt, daß euch die Leute thun, desgleichen thut ihr ihnen.
32 If you love only those who love you, what thanks will be due to you? Why, even the outcast love those who love them!
Und wenn ihr liebet, die euch lieben, was ist's mit eurer Güte? lieben doch auch die Sünder diejenigen, welche sie lieben.
33 For, if you show kindness only to those who show kindness to you, what thanks will be due to you? Even the outcast do that!
Und wenn ihr gutes thut denen, die euch Gutes thun, ebenso thun doch die Sünder das Gleiche.
34 If you lend only to those from whom you expect to get something, what thanks will be due to you? Even the outcast lend to the outcast in the hope of getting as much in return!
Und wenn ihr denen leiht, von welchen ihr es zu bekommen hofft, ebenso leihen doch auch die Sünder den Sündern, um die gleiche Summe wieder zu bekommen.
35 But love your enemies, and show them kindness, and lend to them, never despairing. Then your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High, for he is kind to the thankless and the bad.
Vielmehr, liebet eure Feinde und thut Gutes, und leihet, wo ihr keine Hoffnung habet zurückzubekommen. So wird euer Lohn groß sein, und ihr werdet Söhne des Höchsten sein, denn auch er ist milde gegen die Undankbaren und Bösen.
36 Learn to be merciful – even as your Father is merciful.
Werdet barmherzig, wie euer Vater barmherzig ist.
37 Do not judge, and you will not be judged; do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.
Und richtet nicht, so werdet ihr nimmermehr gerichtet werden; und verurteilt nicht, so werdet ihr nimmermehr verurteilt werden. Sprechet los, so werdet ihr losgesprochen werden.
38 Give, and others will give to you. A generous measure, pressed and shaken down, and running over, will they pour into your lap; for the standard you use will be the standard used for you.”
Gebet, so wird euch gegeben werden. Ein gutes, gestopftes, gerütteltes überfließendes Maß wird man euch in den Schoß geben; denn mit welchem Maß ihr messet, wird euch wieder gemessen werden.
39 Then, speaking in parables, Jesus said, “Can one blind person guide another? Will they not both fall into a ditch?
Er sagte ihnen aber auch ein Gleichnis: kann denn ein Blinder einen Blinden führen? werden nicht beide in eine Grube fallen?
40 A student is not above their teacher; yet every finished student will be like their teacher.
Es ist der Jünger nicht über dem Meister; jeder wird geschult sein wie sein Meister.
41 And why do you look at the speck of sawdust in someone’s eye, while you pay no attention at all to the plank of wood in your own?
Was siehst du aber den Splitter im Auge deines Bruders, den Balken aber im eigenen Auge bemerkst du nicht?
42 How can you say to your friend ‘Friend, let me take out the speck in your eye,’ while you yourself do not see the plank in your own? Hypocrite! Take out the plank from your own eye first, and then you will see clearly how to take out the speck in your friend’s.
Wie kannst du deinem Bruder sagen: Bruder, laß mich den Splitter in deinem Auge herausnehmen, während du selbst den Balken in deinem Auge nicht siehst? Heuchler, nimm zuerst den Balken aus deinem Auge, und dann magst du sehen den Splitter im Auge deines Bruders herauszunehmen.
43 There is no such thing as a good tree bearing worthless fruit, or, on the other hand, a worthless tree bearing good fruit.
Denn es gibt keinen guten Baum, der faule Frucht bringt, und wiederum keinen faulen Baum, der gute Frucht bringt.
44 For every tree is known by its own fruit. People do not gather figs off thorn bushes, nor pick a bunch of grapes off a bramble.
Jeder Baum wird an seiner Frucht erkannt; denn man sammelt nicht Feigen von Diesteln, noch bricht man aus einem Dornbusch eine Traube.
45 A good person, from the good stores of their heart, brings out what is good; while a bad person, from their bad stores, brings out what is bad. For what fills someone’s heart will rise to their lips.
Der gute Mensch bringt aus dem guten Schatze des Herzens das Gute hervor, und der böse bringt aus dem bösen das Böse hervor. Denn wessen das Herz voll ist, geht der Mund über.
46 Why do you call me ‘Master! Master!’ and yet fail to do what I tell you?
Was nennt ihr mich aber: Herr, Herr! und thut nicht was ich sage?
47 Everyone who comes to me and listens to my teaching and acts on it – I will show you to whom they may be compared.
Jeder, der zu mir kommt und meine Worte hört und darnach thut - ich will euch zeigen, wem er gleicht.
48 They may be compared to a person building a house, who dug, and went deep, and laid the foundation on the rock. Then, when a flood came, the river swept down on that house, but had no power to shake it, because it had been built well.
Er gleicht einem Menschen, der ein Haus baut, der da ausgraben und vertiefen ließ und ein Fundament auf den Felsen legte. Als dann das Hochwasser kam, stieß der Strom auf dieses Haus, und vermochte es nicht zu erschüttern wegen seines guten Baues.
49 But those who have listened and not acted on what they have heard may be compared to a person who built a house on the ground without any foundation. The river swept down on it, and the house immediately collapsed; and great was the crash that followed.”
Wer aber hört und nicht thut, der gleicht einem Menschen, welcher ein Haus auf das Land baute ohne Fundament; wie der Strom darauf stieß, da brach es sofort zusammen, und sein Sturz war groß.
