< John 15 >
1 “I am the true vine, and my Father is the vine-grower.
Nai wain melel pot a Jam ai joumat
2 Any unfruitful branch in me he takes away, and he cleanses every fruitful branch, so that it may bear more fruit.
Ra karoj, me podidi on ia, ap jota wa, a kin lepuke jan, a karoj me wa, a kin koko, pwen wa totola.
3 You are already clean because of the message that I have given you.
Komail ari makelekel kidar padak, me I ki on komail er.
4 Remain united to me, and I will remain united to you. As a branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it remains united to the vine; no more can you, unless you remain united to me.
Komail podidi on ia o nai on komail. Ra jota kak pein wa, ma a jo podidi on wain, iduen komail, ma komail jo podidi on ia.
5 I am the vine, you are the branches. If you remains united to me, while I remain united to you – you bear fruit plentifully; for you can do nothing apart from me.
Nai wain pot, a ra kan komail. Me podidi on ia o nai on i, iei i, me kin wawa toto; pwe komail jota kak wia meakot ma jota nai.
6 If anyone does not remain united to me, they are thrown away, as a branch would be, and withers up. Such branches are collected and thrown into the fire, and are burnt.
Meamen jo podidii on ia, pan lokidokila dueta ra, ap monedi; aramaj kin waja ir pena, kaje ir ala nani iai, ir ari pan ronala.
7 If you remain united to me, and my teaching remains in your hearts, ask whatever you wish, and it will be yours.
Ma komail podidi on ia, o ai padak kan podidi on komail, komail pan poeki meakot, me komail mauki, a a pan pwai on komail.
8 It is by your bearing fruit plentifully, and so showing yourselves my disciples, that my Father is honored.
Nan i me Jam ai kalinana kila, omail wawa toto, o komail pan wiala ai tounpadak kan.
9 As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you; remain in my love.
Due Jam o pok on ia er, iduen I pil pok on komail; komail podidi on ai limpok!
10 If you lay my commands to heart, you will remain in my love; just as I have laid the Father’s commands to heart and remain in his love.
Ma komail pan peiki on ai kujoned akan, komail pan podidi on ai limpok, duen I kin peiki on en Jam ai kujoned akan, o podidi on a limpok.
11 I have told you all this so that my own joy may be yours, and that your joy may be complete.
Mepukat I padaki on komail er, pwe ai peren en podidi on komail, o omail peren en unjokela.
12 This is my command – love one another, as I have loved you.
Nan iet ai kujoned: Komail en poke pena, duen i pok on komail er.
13 No one can give greater proof of love than by laying down their life for their friends.
Jota me a limpok laude jan met, me pan mueid kila maur i kompokepa kan.
14 And you are my friends, if you do what I command you.
Komail me kompokepa i, ma komail wiawia, me I indai on komail.
15 I no longer call you ‘servants,’ because a servant does not know what their master is doing; but I have given you the name of ‘friends,’ because I made known to you everything that I learned from my Father.
I jolar kaadaneki komail ladu, pwe ladu jaja, me a jaumaj kin wia. A I kaadane kin komail kompokepa i kan, aki I kajale on komail er karoj, me I ronadar jan ren Jam ai.
16 It wasn’t you who chose me, but I who chose you, and I appointed you to go and bear fruit – fruit that should remain, so that the Father might grant you whatever you ask in my name.
Kaidin komail me pil ia dar, a nai me piladar komail o kilele on komail, en kokowei kapareda wa, o omail wa en mimieta, pwe karoj, me komail pan poeki ren Jam ni ad ai, a pan kotiki on komail.
17 I am giving you these commands that you may love one another.
A iet me I panaui kin komail, komail en poke pena!
18 If the world hates you, you know that it has first hated me.
Ma jappa kailon kin komail, komail en aja, me a kailon kin ia mo omail.
19 If you belonged to the world, the world would love its own. Because you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world – that is why the world hates you.
Ma kijan jappa komail, jappa pan pok on me a; a komail Kaidin kijan jappa, pwe I pil komail dar jan jappa, iei me jappa kailon kin komail.
20 Remember what I said to you – ‘A servant is not greater than their master.’ If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have laid my message to heart, they will lay yours to heart also.
Tamatamanda kajoi o, me I kajoia on komail er: Ladu me jota laude jan a jaumaj ma re kame ia er, re pil pan kame komail. A ma irail pan kapwaiada ai padak, re pil pan kapwaiada omail.
21 But they will do all this to you, because you believe in my name, for they do not know him who sent me.
A mepukat karoj re pan wiai on komail pweki ad ai, aki ar jo aja me kadar ia dor.
22 If I had not come and spoken to them, they would have had no sin to answer for; but as it is, they have no excuse for their sin.
Ma I jo kodo o padaki on irail, nan jota pan dip arail, a met jota peikid pan dip arail.
23 The person who hates me hates my Father also.
Me kailon kin ia, pil kin kailonki Jam ai.
24 If I had not done among them such work as no one else ever did, they would have had no sin to answer for; but, as it is, they have both seen and hated both me and my Father.
Ma I jo wiadar dodok kan nan pun arail, me jota amen wiadar, nan jota pan dip arail. A met irail kilaner o kailon kin ia er o pil Jam ai.
25 And so is fulfilled what is said in their Law – ‘They hated me without cause.’
A mepukat wiauier pwe majan o en pwaida, me intinidier nan arail kapun: Irail kailon kin ia, a jota karepa.
26 But, when the helper comes, whom I will send to you from the Father – the Spirit of truth, who comes from the Father – will bear testimony to me;
A jaunkamait lao kodoer, me I pan kadarado jan ren Jam, iei Nen en melel, me kin kodo jan ren Jam, i me pan kadede nai.
27 yes, and you also are to bear testimony, because you have been with me from the first.
A komail pil pan kadede, pwe komail ian ia er jan ni tapi o.
