Acts 20
1 When the uproar had ceased, Paul sent for the disciples, and, with encouraging words, said goodbye to them, and started on his journey to Macedonia.
੧ਜਦੋਂ ਰੌਲ਼ਾ ਹੱਟ ਗਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਨੇ ਯਿਸੂ ਦੇ ਚੇਲਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੱਦ ਕੇ ਦਿਲਾਸਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਵਿਦਾ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਮਕਦੂਨਿਯਾ ਵੱਲ ਨੂੰ ਤੁਰ ਪਿਆ।
2 After going through those districts and speaking many encouraging words to the disciples, he went into Greece, where he stayed three months.
੨ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਇਲਾਕਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਦੀ ਲੰਘਦਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਹੁਤੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਦਿਲਾਸਾ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਯੂਨਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਇਆ।
3 He was about to sail to Syria, when he learned that a plot had been laid against him by several of the Jewish leaders; so he decided to return by way of Macedonia.
੩ਉੱਥੇ ਤਿੰਨ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਰਹਿ ਕੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਜਹਾਜ਼ ਉੱਤੇ ਸੀਰੀਯਾ ਵੱਲ ਜਾਣ ਨੂੰ ਤਿਆਰ ਹੋਇਆ, ਤਦ ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਯੋਜਨਾ ਬਣਾਈ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਹ ਨੇ ਮਕਦੂਨਿਯਾ ਦੇ ਰਾਹ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਮੁੜਨ ਦਾ ਫੈਸਲਾ ਲਿਆ।
4 He was accompanied by Sopater the son of Pyrrhus, of Beroea, Aristarchus and Secundus from Thessalonica, Gaius of Derbe, and Timothy, as well as by Tychicus and Trophimus of Roman Asia.
੪ਅਤੇ ਪੁੱਰਸ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸੋਪਤਰੁਸ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਬਰਿਯਾ ਦਾ ਸੀ, ਥੱਸਲੁਨੀਕੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਅਰਿਸਤਰਖੁਸ ਅਤੇ ਸਿਕੁੰਦੁਸ, ਦਰਬੇ ਦਾ ਗਾਯੁਸ ਅਤੇ ਤਿਮੋਥਿਉਸ, ਏਸ਼ੀਆ ਦੇ ਤੁਖਿਕੁਸ ਅਤੇ ਤ੍ਰੋਫ਼ਿਮੁਸ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਏਸ਼ੀਆ ਤੱਕ ਗਏ।
5 These people went to Troas and waited for us there;
੫ਪਰ ਇਹੋ ਅਗਾਹਾਂ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਤ੍ਰੋਆਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਉਡੀਕਦੇ ਸਨ।
6 while we ourselves sailed from Philippi after the Passover, and joined them five days later at Troas, where we stayed for a week.
੬ਅਖ਼ਮੀਰੀ ਰੋਟੀ ਦੇ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਅਸੀਂ ਫ਼ਿਲਿੱਪੈ ਤੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਜਹਾਜ਼ ਉੱਤੇ ਚੜ੍ਹੇ ਅਤੇ ਪੰਜਵੇਂ ਦਿਨ ਤ੍ਰੋਆਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਪਹੁੰਚੇ ਅਤੇ ਸੱਤ ਦਿਨ ਉੱਥੇ ਰਹੇ।
7 On the first day of the week, when we had met for the breaking of bread, Paul, who was intending to leave the next day, began to address those who were present, and prolonged his address until midnight.
੭ਹਫ਼ਤੇ ਦੇ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਦਿਨ ਜਦੋਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਰੋਟੀ ਤੋੜਨ ਲਈ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਹੋਏ ਤਾਂ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਨੇ ਜੋ ਅਗਲੇ ਦਿਨ ਜਾਣ ਲਈ ਤਿਆਰ ਸੀ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਚਨ ਸੁਣਾਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਅੱਧੀ ਰਾਤ ਤੱਕ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਕਰਦਾ ਰਿਹਾ।
8 There were a good many lamps in the upstairs room, where we had met;
੮ਚੁਬਾਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਅਸੀਂ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਹੋਏ ਸੀ ਉੱਥੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਦੀਵੇ ਬਲਦੇ ਸਨ।
9 and a young man named Eutychus, sitting at the window, was gradually overcome with great drowsiness, as Paul continued his address. At last, quite overpowered by his drowsiness, he fell from the third story to the ground, and was picked up for dead.
੯ਅਤੇ ਯੂਤਖੁਸ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਜਵਾਨ ਖਿੜਕੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੈਠਾ ਗਹਿਰੀ ਨੀਂਦ ਨਾਲ ਉਂਘਲਾਇਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਮੇਂ ਤੱਕ ਬਚਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਨੀਂਦ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਉਂਘਲਾਇਆ ਹੋਇਆ, ਤੀਸਰੀ ਮੰਜਿਲ ਤੋਂ ਹੇਠਾਂ ਡਿੱਗ ਪਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਮਰਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਚੁੱਕਿਆ ਗਿਆ।
10 But Paul went down, threw himself on him, and put his arms around him. “Do not be alarmed,” he said, “he is still alive.”
੧੦ਪਰ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਨੇ ਉਤਰ ਕੇ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਜੱਫੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਗਲ਼ ਨਾਲ ਲਾ ਕੇ ਆਖਣ ਲੱਗਾ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਰੌਲ਼ਾ ਨਾ ਪਾਓ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਦੀ ਜਾਨ ਉਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈ।
11 Then he went upstairs; and, after breaking and partaking of the bread, he talked with them at great length until daybreak, and then left.
੧੧ਫੇਰ ਉਹ ਉੱਪਰ ਆਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਰੋਟੀ ਤੋੜ ਕੇ ਖਾਧੀ ਅਤੇ ਐਨਾ ਚਿਰ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਰਦਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਜੋ ਦਿਨ ਚੜ੍ਹ ਗਿਆ, ਤਦ ਉਹ ਤੁਰ ਪਿਆ।
12 Meanwhile they had taken the boy away alive, and were greatly comforted.
੧੨ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਮੁੰਡੇ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਉਂਦਾ ਲਿਆਏ ਅਤੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਸ਼ਾਂਤ ਹੋਏ।
13 We started first, went on board ship, and sailed for Assos, intending to take Paul on board there. This was by his own arrangement, as he intended to go by land himself.
੧੩ਪਰ ਅਸੀਂ ਅਗਾਹਾਂ ਤੁਰ ਕੇ ਜਹਾਜ਼ ਉੱਤੇ ਚੜ੍ਹੇ ਅਤੇ ਅੱਸੁਸ ਦੀ ਵੱਲ ਚੱਲੇ ਜਿੱਥੋਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਨੂੰ ਨਾਲ ਚੜ੍ਹਾ ਲੈਣਾ ਸੀ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਆਪ ਪੈਦਲ ਜਾਣ ਦਾ ਇਰਾਦਾ ਬਣਾ ਕੇ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੀ ਹੁਕਮ ਦੇ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ।
14 So, when he met us at Assos, we took him on board and went on to Mitylene.
੧੪ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਅਸੁੱਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਆ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਜਹਾਜ਼ ਉੱਤੇ ਚੜ੍ਹਾ ਕੇ ਮਿਤੁਲੇਨੇ ਨੂੰ ਆਏ।
15 The day after we had sailed from there, we arrived off Chios, touched at Samos the following day, and the next day reached Miletus;
੧੫ਅਤੇ ਉੱਥੋਂ ਜਹਾਜ਼ ਖੋਲ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਦੂਜੇ ਦਿਨ ਖੀਓਸ ਦੇ ਬਰਾਬਰ ਪਹੁੰਚੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਦੂਜੇ ਦਿਨ ਸਾਮੁਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾ ਪਹੁੰਚੇ। ਫੇਰ ਅਗਲੇ ਦਿਨ ਮਿਲੇਤੁਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਏ।
16 for Paul had decided to sail past Ephesus, so as to avoid spending much time in Roman Asia. He was making haste to reach Jerusalem, if possible, by the Festival at the close of the Harvest.
੧੬ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਫੈਸਲਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ ਜੋ ਅਫ਼ਸੁਸ ਤੋਂ ਲੰਘ ਜਾਂਵਾਂ ਕਿ ਏਸ਼ੀਆ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਕਿਤੇ ਚਿਰ ਨਾ ਲੱਗੇ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਛੇਤੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਜੇ ਹੋ ਸਕੇ ਤਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਪੰਤੇਕੁਸਤ ਦੇ ਦਿਨ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਜਾਂਵਾਂ।
17 From Miletus, however, he sent to Ephesus and invited the church elders to meet him;
੧੭ਉਸ ਨੇ ਮਿਲੇਤੁਸ ਤੋਂ ਅਫ਼ਸੁਸ ਦੀ ਵੱਲ ਸੁਨੇਹਾ ਭੇਜ ਕੇ ਕਲੀਸਿਯਾ ਦੇ ਆਗੂ ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬੁਲਾਇਆ।
18 and, when they came, he said to them, “You know well the life that I always led among you from the very first day that I set foot in Roman Asia,
੧੮ਅਤੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਆਏ ਤਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਹੋ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਦਿਨ ਤੋਂ ਹੀ ਜਦੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਏਸ਼ੀਆ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਹੁੰਚਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਹਰ ਰੋਜ਼ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਕਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਰਿਹਾ
19 serving the Lord, as I did, in all humility, amid the tears and trials which fell to my lot through the plots of some of the Jewish leaders.
੧੯ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਅਧੀਨਗੀ ਨਾਲ ਹੰਝੂ ਵਹਾ ਵਹਾ ਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਪਰਤਾਵਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਜੋ ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਾਜਿਸ਼ਾਂ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਮੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਆਣ ਪਏ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਰਿਹਾ।
20 I never shrank from telling you anything that could be helpful to you, or from teaching you both in public and in private.
੨੦ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਭਲੇ ਦੀ ਕੋਈ ਗੱਲ ਦੱਸਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੁਝ ਫ਼ਰਕ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ, ਸਗੋਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਖੁੱਲ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਅਤੇ ਘਰ-ਘਰ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
21 I earnestly pointed both Jews and Greeks to the repentance that leads to God, and to faith in Jesus, our Lord.
੨੧ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਯੂਨਾਨੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਗਵਾਹੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਕਿ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਤੋਬਾ ਕਰੋ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਯਿਸੂ ਮਸੀਹ ਉੱਤੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਕਰੋ।
22 And now, under spiritual constraint, I am here on my way to Jerusalem, not knowing what will happen to me there,
੨੨ਹੁਣ ਵੇਖੋ, ਮੈਂ ਆਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਬੱਧਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਜੋ ਉੱਥੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਕੀ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ।
23 except that in town after town the Holy Spirit plainly declares to me that imprisonment and troubles await me.
੨੩ਪਰ ਐਨਾ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਆਤਮਾ ਹਰੇਕ ਨਗਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਕਹਿ ਕੇ ਗਵਾਹੀ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਬੰਧਨ ਅਤੇ ਬਿਪਤਾ ਤੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਤਿਆਰ ਹਨ।
24 But I count my life of no value to myself, if only I may complete the course marked out for me, and the task that was allotted me by the Lord Jesus – which was to declare the good news of the love of God.
੨੪ਪਰੰਤੂ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਲਈ ਆਪਣੀ ਜਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਵੀ ਪਿਆਰੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਮਝਦਾ, ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਦੌੜ ਨੂੰ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਸੇਵਾ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰੀ ਕਰਾਂ, ਜਿਹੜੀ ਮੈਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਦੀ ਖੁਸ਼ਖਬਰੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਗਵਾਹੀ ਦੇਣ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਯਿਸੂ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਈ ਸੀ।
25 And now, I tell you, I know that none of you will ever see my face again – you among whom I have gone about proclaiming the kingdom.
੨੫ਅਤੇ ਹੁਣ ਵੇਖੋ, ਮੈਂ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਜੋ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸਭ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੈਂ ਰਾਜ ਦਾ ਪਰਚਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੇਰਾ ਮੂੰਹ ਫੇਰ ਕਦੇ ਨਾ ਵੇਖੋਗੇ।
26 Therefore I declare to you this day, that my conscience is clear in regard to the fate of any of you,
੨੬ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮੈਂ ਅੱਜ ਦੇ ਦਿਨ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਗਵਾਹੀ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਸਭਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਲਹੂ ਤੋਂ ਨਿਰਦੋਸ਼ ਹਾਂ।
27 for I have not shrunk from announcing the whole purpose of God regarding you.
੨੭ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਮਰਜ਼ੀ ਦੱਸਣ ਤੋਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਝਿੱਜਕਿਆ।
28 Be watchful over yourselves, and over the whole flock, of which the Holy Spirit has placed you in charge, to shepherd the church of God, which he won for himself at the cost of his life.
੨੮ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੀ, ਨਾਲੇ ਉਸ ਸਾਰੇ ਇੱਜੜ ਦੀ ਰਖਵਾਲੀ ਕਰੋ ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਆਤਮਾ ਨੇ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਨਿਗਾਹਬਾਨ ਠਹਿਰਾਇਆ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਕਲੀਸਿਯਾ ਦੀ ਚਰਵਾਹੀ ਕਰੋ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੀ ਲਹੂ ਨਾਲ ਮੁੱਲ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ।
29 I know that, after my departure, merciless wolves will get in among you, who will not spare the flock;
੨੯ਮੈਂ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਜੋ ਮੇਰੇ ਜਾਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਬੁਰੇ-ਬੁਰੇ ਬਘਿਆੜ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਆ ਵੜਨਗੇ, ਜੋ ਇੱਜੜ ਨੂੰ ਨਾ ਛੱਡਣਗੇ।
30 and from among yourselves, too, people will arise, who will teach perversions of truth, so as to draw away the disciples after them.
੩੦ਅਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੀ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕਈ ਪੁਰਸ਼ ਖੜੇ ਹੋਣਗੇ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਉਲਟੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਰਨਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਚੇਲਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਵੱਲ ਖਿੱਚ ਲੈਣਗੇ।
31 Therefore, be on your guard, remembering how for three years, night and day, I never ceased, even with tears, to warn each one of you.
੩੧ਇਸ ਕਰਕੇ ਜਾਗਦੇ ਰਹੋ ਅਤੇ ਯਾਦ ਰੱਖੋ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਤਿੰਨਾਂ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਤੱਕ ਰਾਤ-ਦਿਨ ਰੋ-ਰੋ ਕੇ ਹਰੇਕ ਨੂੰ ਚਿਤਾਵਨੀ ਦੇਣ ਤੋਂ ਨਾ ਰੁਕਿਆ।
32 And now I commend you to the Lord and to the message of his love – a message which has the power to build up your characters, and to give you your place among all those who have become Christ’s people.
੩੨ਹੁਣ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਦੇ ਬਚਨ ਦੇ ਹੱਥ ਸੌਂਪਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਜਿਹੜਾ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਸਿੱਧ ਬਣਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਸਾਰੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਕੀਤਿਆਂ ਹੋਇਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਰਾਸਤ ਦੇ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ।
33 I have never coveted anyone’s gold or silver or clothing.
੩੩ਮੈਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਦੀ ਚਾਂਦੀ ਜਾਂ ਸੋਨੇ ਜਾਂ ਬਸਤਰ ਦਾ ਲਾਲਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ।
34 You, yourselves, know that these hands of mine provided not only for my own wants, but for my companions also.
੩੪ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਪ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਹੋ ਕਿ ਮੇਰੇ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੀ ਹੱਥਾਂ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਸਾਥੀਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਲੋੜਾਂ ਪੂਰੀਆਂ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ।
35 I left nothing undone to show you that, laboring as I labored, you ought to help the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said himself – ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’”
੩੫ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕਰ ਵਿਖਾਲਿਆ ਕਿ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਿਹਨਤ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਕਮਜ਼ੋਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਕਰੋ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਯਿਸੂ ਦੇ ਬਚਨ ਚੇਤੇ ਰੱਖੋ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਨੇ ਆਪ ਕਿਹਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਲੈਣ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਦੇਣਾ ਹੀ ਧੰਨ ਹੈ।
36 When Paul had finished speaking, he knelt down and prayed with them all.
੩੬ਉਸ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਹਿ ਕੇ ਗੋਡੇ ਟੇਕੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ।
37 All were in tears; and throwing their arms around Paul’s neck, they kissed him again and again,
੩੭ਉਹ ਸਭ ਬਹੁਤ ਰੋਏ ਅਤੇ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਦੇ ਗਲ਼ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਚੁੰਮਿਆ।
38 grieving most of all over what he had said – that they would never see his face again. Then they escorted him to the ship.
੩੮ਖ਼ਾਸ ਕਰਕੇ ਇਸ ਗੱਲ ਉੱਤੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਉਦਾਸ ਹੋਏ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਉਹ ਨੇ ਆਖੀ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੇਰਾ ਮੂੰਹ ਫੇਰ ਕਦੇ ਨਾ ਵੇਖੋਗੇ, ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਜਹਾਜ਼ ਤੱਕ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਪਹੁੰਚਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
