2 John 1
1 From the elder, to the lady chosen by God and her children. I truly love you all, and I am not the only one but all who know the truth love you as well.
Der Älteste entbietet seinen Gruß der auserwählten Herrin und ihren Kindern. Ich liebe euch in Wahrheit, doch nicht ich allein, sondern auch alle, die die Wahrheit erkannt haben:
ich liebe euch um der Wahrheit willen, die in uns wohnt, und die bei uns bleiben wird in Ewigkeit. (aiōn g165)
3 Grace, mercy, and peace will be ours – the gift of God, the Father, and of Jesus Christ, the Father’s Son – in truth and love.
Gnade, Barmherzigkeit und Friede von Gott dem Vater und von Jesus Christus, dem Sohn des Vaters, wird mit uns sein, (damit wir wachsen) in Wahrheit und Liebe.
4 It was a great joy to me to find the lives of some of your children guided by the truth, in obedience to the command that we received from the Father.
Ich habe mich sehr gefreut, unter deinen Kindern solche zu finden, die in der Wahrheit wandeln, so wie uns der Vater geboten hat.
5 And now I implore you, dear lady, let us love one another This is not a new command I am writing to you. It is the command we have had from the beginning. – Let us love one another.
Und nun bitte ich dich, Herrin — nicht als schriebe ich dir ein neues Gebot, sondern jenes, das wir von Anfang an gehabt haben —: "Laß uns einander lieben!"
6 And this is love – to live in obedience to the Father’s commands. This is the command as you learned from the beginning, to live a life of love.
Und darin zeigt sich die Liebe, daß wir nach seinen Geboten wandeln. Dies ist das Gebot: "Wandelt in der Liebe!" so wie ihr von Anfang an gehört habt.
7 I say this because many deceivers have gone out into the world – men who do not acknowledge that Jesus Christ came in flesh and blood. Any such person is a deceiver and antichrist.
Denn viele Verführer sind ausgezogen in die Welt, die Jesus Christus nicht als den im Fleisch Erschienenen bekennen. Ein solcher Mensch ist der Verführer und der Widerchrist.
8 Take care so that you do not what we have worked for but instead receive your full reward.
Seht euch vor, daß ihr nicht die Frucht eurer Arbeit verliert, sondern einen vollen Lohn empfangt!
9 Anyone who goes beyond and fails to live inside of the teaching of Christ does not have God. The person who lives inside that teaching – they have both the Father and the Son.
Wer über die rechte Grenze hinausgeht und nicht in der Lehre Christi bleibt, der hat keinen Gott. Wer aber in dieser Lehre bleibt, der hat den Vater und den Sohn.
10 If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not receive them into your house or even welcome them;
Kommt einer zu euch und bringt diese Lehre nicht, den nehmt nicht auf in euer Haus und bietet ihm auch keinen Gruß!
11 because the person who welcomes them is sharing with them in his evil work.
Denn wer ihn grüßt, der ist mitschuldig an seinem bösen Treiben.
12 Though I have many other things to tell you, I would rather not use paper and ink. Instead I hope to come and see you, and to speak with you face to face, so that our joy may be complete.
Ich hätte euch noch vieles mitzuteilen, aber ich mag es nicht tun mit Papier und Tinte. Ich hoffe vielmehr, zu euch zu kommen und mich mündlich mit euch auszusprechen, damit unsere Freude vollkommen sei.
13 The children of your sister, who is chosen by God, send you their greetings.
Es grüßen dich die Kinder deiner auserwählten Schwester.
