< 1 Thessalonians 5 >
1 But as to the times and the moments, there is no need, friends, for anyone to write to you.
Ita, maipanggep kadagiti tiempo ken panawen, kakabsat, saanen a masapul iti aniaman a banag a maisurat kadakayo.
2 You yourselves know well that the day of the Lord will come just as a thief comes in the night.
Ta ammoyon a naan-anay nga umay iti aldaw ti Apo a kasla agtatakaw iti rabii.
3 When people are saying ‘All is quiet and safe,’ it is then that, like birth pains on a pregnant woman, ruin comes suddenly upon them, and there will be no escape!
No ibagada a, “Kapia ken kinatalged,” ket kellaat a pannakadadael ti umayto kadakuada. Daytoy ket kaslanto iti sakit ti panagpasikal ti masikog. Awanto ti pamuspusan a makalibasda.
4 You, however, friends, are not in darkness, that the daylight should take you by surprise as if you were thieves.
Ngem dakayo, kakabsat, awankayo iti kinasipnget tapno maunaannakayo iti dayta nga aldaw a kas iti agtatakaw.
5 For you all are children of light and children of the day. We have nothing to do with night, or darkness.
Ta annaknayo amin ti lawag ken annak ti aldaw. Saantayo nga annak ti rabii wenno ti kinasipnget.
6 Therefore let us not sleep as others do. No, let us be watchful and self-controlled.
No kasta ngarud, saantayo koma a matmaturog a kas iti ar-aramiden dagiti dadduma. Ngem ketdi, agpalpaliiwtayo latta ken agteppel.
7 It is at night that people sleep, and at night that drunkards get drunk.
Ta dagiti matmaturog ken dagiti agbartek ket aramidenda daytoy iti rabii.
8 But let us, who belong to the day, control ourselves, and put on faith and love as a breast plate, and the hope of salvation as a helmet.
Ngem gapu ta annaknatayo iti aldaw, agteppeltayo. Ikabiltayo ti kalasag ti barukong iti pammati ken ayat, ken iti helmet, isu iti nakaisiguradoan iti pannakaisalakan.
9 For God destined us, not for wrath, but to win salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us,
Ta saan nga intuding ti Dios a pungtot ti pagtungpalantayo, ngem tapno magun-odtayo ti pannakaisalakan babaen kenni Apotayo a Jesu-Cristo.
10 that, whether we are still watching or have fallen asleep, we may live with him.
Natay isuna para kadatayo tapno uray no nakariingtayo wenno matmaturog, makipagbiagtayo kenkuana.
11 Therefore encourage one another, and try to build up one another’s characters, as indeed you are doing.
Liwliwaen ken papigsaenyo ngarud iti tunggal maysa, a kas iti ar-aramidenyon.
12 We beg you, friends, to value those who toil among you, and are your leaders in the Lord’s service, and give you counsel.
Dawatenmi kadakayo, kakabsat, a bigbigenyo dagiti agtrabtrabaho kadakayo ken mangibagnos kadakayo iti Apo ken mangbalbalakad kadakayo.
13 Hold them in the very greatest esteem and affection for the sake of their work. Live at peace with one another.
Dawatenmi pay kadakayo nga utobenyo ida a raemen iti kasta unay a panagayat gapu iti trabahoda. Makikapiakayo kadagiti kakaduayo.
14 We entreat you also, friends – warn the disorderly, comfort the faint-hearted, give a helping hand to the weak, and be patient with everyone.
Ballakadandakayo, kakabsat: ballaaganyo dagiti awan urnosna, papigsaenyo dagiti naupay, tulonganyo dagiti nakapsut, anusanyo iti amin.
15 Take care that none of you ever pays back wrong for wrong, but always follow the kindest course with one another and with everyone.
Kitaenyo ta awan koma iti agibales ti dakes iti dakes iti siasinoman. Ngem ketdi, ikarigatanyo nga aramiden iti nasayaat para iti tunggal maysa ken para iti amin.
Agrao-okayo a kankanayon.
Dikay agsardeng nga agkararag.
18 under all circumstances give thanks to God. For this is his will for you as made known in Christ Jesus.
Pagyamananyo ti tunggal banag, Ta daytoy ti pagayatan ti Dios kenni Cristo Jesus para kadakayo.
19 Do not quench the Spirit;
Saanyo a sebseban ti Espiritu.
20 do not make light of preaching.
Diyo laisen dagiti padto.
21 Bring everything to the test; cling to what is good;
Padasenyo dagiti amin a banbanag. Salimetmetanyo ti naimbag.
22 shun every form of evil.
Liklikanyo iti aniaman a kita iti dakes.
23 May God himself, the giver of peace, make you altogether holy; and may your spirits, souls, and bodies be kept altogether faultless until the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Sapay koma ta naan-anay a pasantoennakayo ti Dios iti kapia. Sapay koma ta mataginayon ti sibubukel nga espiritu, kararua ken bagi nga awan ti pakapilawan para iti iyuumay ni Apotayo a ni Jesu-Cristo.
24 He who calls you will not fail you; he will complete his work.
Napudno isuna a nangayab kadakayo, ti met laeng mangaramid iti dayta.
Kakabsat, ikararagandakami met.
26 Greet all the Lord’s followers with a sacred kiss.
Kablaawanyo amin dagiti kakabsat babaen iti nasantoan nga agek.
27 I order you in the Lord’s name to have this letter read to all the brethren.
Dawatek babaen iti Apo nga ibasayo daytoy a surat kadagiti amin a kakabsat.
28 May the blessing of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.
Sapay koma ta adda kadakayo ti parabur ni Apotayo a Jesu-Cristo.
