1 John 5
1 Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ is a child of God, and everyone who loves a parent loves his child.
ಯೇಸುವೇ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತ ಎಂದು ನಂಬುವ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬರೂ ದೇವರಿಂದ ಹುಟ್ಟಿದವರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ತಂದೆಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸುವ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬರು ದೇವರಿಂದ ಹುಟ್ಟಿದವರನ್ನು ಸಹ ಪ್ರೀತಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ.
2 By this we know that we love God’s children – when we love God and carry out his commands.
ನಾವು ದೇವರನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸಿ, ಅವರ ಆಜ್ಞೆಗಳನ್ನು ಅನುಸರಿಸುವುದರಿಂದಲೇ ದೇವರ ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸುತ್ತೇವೆಂಬುದನ್ನು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತೇವೆ.
3 For to love God is to do what he commands and his commands are not a burden,
ದೇವರ ಪ್ರೀತಿ ಏನೆಂದರೆ: ದೇವರ ಆಜ್ಞೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕೈಗೊಂಡು ನಡೆಯುವುದೇ. ಅವರ ಆಜ್ಞೆಗಳು ಕಠಿಣವಾದವುಗಳಲ್ಲ.
4 for whatever is born of God overcomes the world. What is the victory by which the world is overcome? Our faith!
ದೇವರಿಂದ ಹುಟ್ಟಿರುವ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬರು ಲೋಕವನ್ನು ಜಯಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಲೋಕವನ್ನು ಜಯಿಸುವಂಥದು ನಮ್ಮ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯೇ.
5 Who can overcome the world but the person who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?
ಯೇಸುವು ದೇವಪುತ್ರ ಎಂದು ನಂಬಿದವರೇ ಹೊರತು ಲೋಕವನ್ನು ಜಯಿಸುವವರು ಯಾರು?
6 Jesus Christ, the one who came by water and blood – not by water only but by water and blood – and the Spirit testifies to this because the Spirit is truth.
ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತ ಯೇಸುವೇ ನೀರಿನಿಂದಲೂ ರಕ್ತದಿಂದಲೂ ಬಂದವರು. ನೀರಿನಿಂದ ಮಾತ್ರವಲ್ಲದೆ ನೀರಿನಿಂದಲೂ ರಕ್ತದಿಂದಲೂ ಬಂದರು, ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಕೊಡುವವರು ಪವಿತ್ರಾತ್ಮ ದೇವರೇ, ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಪವಿತ್ರಾತ್ಮ ದೇವರು ಸತ್ಯವಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
7 Indeed three testify:
ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಕೊಡುವವರು ಮೂವರಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
8 the Spirit, the water, and the blood, and these three agree.
ಆತ್ಮ, ಜಲ, ರಕ್ತ ಎಂಬ ಮೂರು ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಗಳು ಇವೆ. ಇವು ಕೊಡುವ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿ ಒಂದೇ ಆಗಿರುತ್ತದೆ.
9 We accept human testimony, surely God’s testimony is even stronger! And God’s testimony is the testimony he has given about his Son.
ನಾವು ಮನುಷ್ಯರ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದಾದರೆ ದೇವರ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯು ಅದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ದೊಡ್ಡದಾಗಿದೆಯಲ್ಲಾ. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ತಮ್ಮ ಪುತ್ರ ಆಗಿರುವ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತ ಯೇಸುವಿನ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ದೇವರು ಕೊಟ್ಟ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯು ಇದೇ ಆಗಿದೆ.
10 The person who believes in the Son of God has that testimony within them. The person who does not believe God has made God a liar, by not believing the testimony God has given about his Son.
ದೇವಪುತ್ರ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತ ಯೇಸುವಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನಂಬಿಕೆ ಇಟ್ಟವರು ಆ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯನ್ನು ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ. ದೇವರನ್ನು ನಂಬದವರು ದೇವರನ್ನು ಸುಳ್ಳುಗಾರನನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಹೇಗೆಂದರೆ ದೇವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಪುತ್ರ ಆಗಿರುವ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತ ಯೇಸುವಿನ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ಕೊಟ್ಟ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಂಥವರು ನಂಬಿಕೆಯಿಡಲಿಲ್ಲ.
11 And this is that testimony: God gave us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. (aiōnios g166)
ಆ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿ ಯಾವುದೆಂದರೆ: ದೇವರು ನಮಗೆ ನಿತ್ಯಜೀವವನ್ನು ಅನುಗ್ರಹಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಈ ಜೀವವು ದೇವರ ಪುತ್ರ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತ ಯೇಸುವಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಇದೆ ಎಂಬುದೇ. (aiōnios g166)
12 Whoever has the Son has life; whoever who doesn’t have God’s Son does not have life.
ಯಾರು ಪುತ್ರ ಆಗಿರುವ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತ ಯೇಸುವನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದ್ದಾರೊ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಜೀವವಿದೆ. ಯಾರಲ್ಲಿ ದೇವರ ಪುತ್ರ ಆಗಿರುವ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತ ಯೇಸು ಇರುವುದಿಲ್ಲವೋ ಅಂಥವರಿಗೆ ಜೀವವಿಲ್ಲ.
13 I have written these things to you who believe in the name of God’s Son, so that you may know that you have eternal life. (aiōnios g166)
ದೇವಪುತ್ರ ಆಗಿರುವವರ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯಿಡುವ ನಿಮಗೆ ನಿತ್ಯಜೀವವು ಉಂಟೆಂದು ನೀವು ತಿಳಿಯುವ ಹಾಗೆ ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಇವುಗಳನ್ನು ಬರೆದಿದ್ದೇನೆ. (aiōnios g166)
14 We can approach him with this confidence, that whenever we ask anything that is in accordance with his will, he listens to us.
ದೇವರ ಚಿತ್ತಾನುಸಾರವಾಗಿ ನಾವು ಏನಾದರೂ ಬೇಡಿಕೊಂಡರೆ, ದೇವರು ಕೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಇದೇ ದೇವರಲ್ಲಿ ನಮಗಿರುವ ನಿಶ್ಚಯ.
15 And if we know he hears us – whatever we ask – we know also that what we ask for is ours.
ನಾವು ಏನು ಬೇಡಿಕೊಂಡರೂ ದೇವರು ನಮ್ಮ ವಿಜ್ಞಾಪನೆಯನ್ನು ಕೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿದಿದ್ದರೆ, ನಾವು ಬೇಡಿದವುಗಳು ನಮಗೆ ದೊರೆಯುತ್ತವೆ ಎಂಬ ದೃಢನಿಶ್ಚಯ ನಮಗಿದೆ.
16 If anyone sees one of our people committing some sin that is not a sin leading to death, they should ask, and God will give them life. I refer to those whose sin does not lead to death. There is a sin that leads to death. I am not saying that you should pray about that.
ಮರಣಕರವಲ್ಲದ ಪಾಪವನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವ ಸಹೋದರ ಅಥವಾ ಸಹೋದರಿಯನ್ನು ಯಾರಾದರೂ ಕಂಡರೆ, ಆ ಸಹೋದರ ಅಥವಾ ಸಹೋದರಿಯರಿಗಾಗಿ ದೇವರಲ್ಲಿ ಬೇಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ. ದೇವರು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಜೀವವನ್ನು ದಯಪಾಲಿಸುವರು. ಮರಣಕರವಲ್ಲದ ಪಾಪವನ್ನು ಕುರಿತೇ ಈ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ಆದರೆ ಮರಣಕರವಾದ ಪಾಪವೂ ಉಂಟು. ಈ ಮರಣಕರವಾದ ಪಾಪದ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ಬೇಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕೆಂದು ನಾನು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ.
17 All wrongdoing is sin, but there is sin that does not lead to death.
ಅನೀತಿಯೆಲ್ಲವೂ ಪಾಪವಾಗಿದೆ. ಆದರೂ ಮರಣಕರವಲ್ಲದ ಪಾಪವುಂಟು.
18 We know that those who have been born of God do not keep sinning. God protects his children and the evil one cannot get hold of them.
ದೇವರಿಂದ ಹುಟ್ಟಿರುವವರು ಪಾಪದಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಂದುವರೆಯುವುದಿಲ್ಲವೆಂಬುದು ನಮಗೆ ಗೊತ್ತದೆ. ದೇವರಿಂದ ಹುಟ್ಟಿದವರನ್ನು ದೇವಪುತ್ರ ಆಗಿರುವ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತ ಯೇಸುವು ಅಂಥವರನ್ನು ಕಾಪಾಡುವರು, ಕೆಡುಕನು ಅಂಥವರನ್ನು ಮುಟ್ಟುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
19 We know that we are God’s children, though the whole world lies in the power of the evil one.
ನಾವು ದೇವರ ಮಕ್ಕಳೆಂದೂ ಲೋಕವೆಲ್ಲವು ಕೆಡುಕನ ನಿಯಂತ್ರಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಇದೆ ಎಂದೂ ನಮಗೆ ಗೊತ್ತಿದೆ.
20 We also know that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know the true God – and we are in him who is true, by being in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life. (aiōnios g166)
ದೇವರ ಪುತ್ರ ಆಗಿರುವ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತ ಯೇಸುವು ಬಂದು, ಸತ್ಯವಾಗಿರುವ ದೇವರನ್ನು ನಾವು ಅರಿತುಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಅವರು ನಮಗೆ ತಿಳುವಳಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾರೆಂದೂ ನಾವು ಸತ್ಯವಾಗಿರುವ ದೇವರಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರ ಪುತ್ರ ಆಗಿರುವ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತ ಯೇಸುವಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಇರುವವರಾಗಿದ್ದೇವೆ ಎಂದೂ ನಮಗೆ ಗೊತ್ತಿದೆ. ಈ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತ ಯೇಸುವೇ ಸತ್ಯ ದೇವರೂ ನಿತ್ಯಜೀವವೂ ಆಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. (aiōnios g166)
21 My children, guard yourselves against false ideas of God.
ಪ್ರಿಯ ಮಕ್ಕಳೇ, ವಿಗ್ರಹಗಳಿಗೆ ದೂರವಾಗಿರುವಂತೆ ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಕಾಪಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ.
