< 1 John 5 >
1 Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ is a child of God, and everyone who loves a parent loves his child.
Jesu taw Khawsa ing a cuun Khrih ni tinawh ak cangnaak thlang boeih ingkaw Pa ak lungnaak thlang boeih ingtaw a ca awm lungna hy.
2 By this we know that we love God’s children – when we love God and carry out his commands.
Khawsa cakhqi ni lungna hy tice simnaak taw veni: Khawsa ni lungna nawh ak awipeekkhqi ni hquut veni.
3 For to love God is to do what he commands and his commands are not a burden,
Ak awipeekkhqi ve am rih aih hy,
4 for whatever is born of God overcomes the world. What is the victory by which the world is overcome? Our faith!
Khawsa ing a cuun thlangkhqi boeih ingtaw ve khawmdek ve noeng hy, khawmdek ni noeng nawh ni hepnaak taw ningnih ak cangnaak veni.
5 Who can overcome the world but the person who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?
U ing khawmdek ve a noeng? Jesu taw Khawsa Capa ni ti ak cangnaak thlang doeng ing ni a noeng hy.
6 Jesus Christ, the one who came by water and blood – not by water only but by water and blood – and the Spirit testifies to this because the Spirit is truth.
Tui ingkaw thi ing ak law thlang cetaw - Jesu Khrih ni. Tui doeng ing am law hy, tui ingkaw thi ing ni a law. Ce ce ak sim pyikung taw Ciim Myihla ni, kawtih Myihla taw awitak na awm hy.
Sim pyikung pakthum awm hy;
8 the Spirit, the water, and the blood, and these three agree.
cekkhqi taw Myihla, thi ingkaw tui ve tloek ni, ve pakthum tloek ve hqui qu uhy.
9 We accept human testimony, surely God’s testimony is even stronger! And God’s testimony is the testimony he has given about his Son.
Thlanghqing a simpyinaak za ningnih ing ni do uh awhtaw, Khawsa a simpyinaak taw bau khqoet hy, kawtih amah a capa ani peeknaak ce Khawsa a simpyinaak na awm hy.
10 The person who believes in the Son of God has that testimony within them. The person who does not believe God has made God a liar, by not believing the testimony God has given about his Son.
U awm Khawsa a Capa ak cangnaak ak thlang taw amah ak kawk khuiawh ce simnaak tahy. U awm Khawsa amak cangnaak ak thlang taw amah a Capa a peeknaak awh Khawsa simpyinaak ce amak cangnaak a dawngawh amah ce qaai ak kqawn na sai hy.
11 And this is that testimony: God gave us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. (aiōnios )
Simpyinaak taw veni: Khawsa ing kumqui hqingnaak ce ni pe hawh hy, cawhkaw hqingnaak cetaw amah a Capa awh awm hy. (aiōnios )
12 Whoever has the Son has life; whoever who doesn’t have God’s Son does not have life.
U awm Cakpa ak ta ingtaw hqingnaak ce tahy; Khawsa Capa amak ta ingtaw hqingnaak ce am tahy.
13 I have written these things to you who believe in the name of God’s Son, so that you may know that you have eternal life. (aiōnios )
Kumqui hqingnaak ta hawh nyng tice nami simnaak thai aham Khawsa Capa ming ak cangnaak nangmih a venawh ve ik-oeihkhqi ve qee law nyng. (aiōnios )
14 We can approach him with this confidence, that whenever we ask anything that is in accordance with his will, he listens to us.
Khawsa ing ning zoe qunaak awh ve ngaihqepnaak ve ni ta uhy; amah kawngaihnaak amyihna ikaw mih awm ni thoeh awhtaw anih ing ning ngai pek khqi hy.
15 And if we know he hears us – whatever we ask – we know also that what we ask for is ours.
Amah ing ningnih ak cykcahnaak ning ngai pek khqi hy tice ni sim awhtaw - ik-oeih ni thoeh saqui - a venawh ni thoeh boeih ni hu hy ti ni sim uhy.
16 If anyone sees one of our people committing some sin that is not a sin leading to death, they should ask, and God will give them life. I refer to those whose sin does not lead to death. There is a sin that leads to death. I am not saying that you should pray about that.
Koeinaa pynoet ing thihnaak dyna amak sawi thawlhnaak a sai ce thlang ing a huh awhtaw Khawsa ing hqingnaak a peeknaak thai aham ak cykcah peek aham awm hy. Thihnaak khoek thawlhnaak amak saikhqi ni ka ti. Thihnaak dyna ak sawi thlawlhnaak awm hy. Cemyih awh cykcah aham kak kqawn ngaihnaak amni.
17 All wrongdoing is sin, but there is sin that does not lead to death.
Sai thawlh boeih ve thawlhnaak na awm hy, thihnaak dyna amak sawi thawlhnaak awm awm hy.
18 We know that those who have been born of God do not keep sinning. God protects his children and the evil one cannot get hold of them.
Khawsa ing a cuun thlang ingtaw u awm thawlhnaak ce am sai poe hy, Khawsa ing a cuun thlang taw amah ing ak nep na khoem hy, thlak leek am ing am tlawh sak thai hy.
19 We know that we are God’s children, though the whole world lies in the power of the evil one.
Ningmih taw Khawsa cakhqi ni ti ni sim uhy, cehlai khawmdek pum ve thlak che kut khuiawh awm hy.
20 We also know that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know the true God – and we are in him who is true, by being in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life. (aiōnios )
Khawsa Capa law nawh ak thym amah ce ni sim naak thai aham ningnih a venawh zaaksimnaak ni pek khqi hy, tice ni sim uhy. Ak thym amah - a Capa Jesu Khrih ak khuiawh ningnih taw ni awm uhy. Anih taw Khawsa tang ingkaw kumqui hqingnak na awm hy. (aiōnios )
21 My children, guard yourselves against false ideas of God.
Ka lungnaak naasenkhqi, myi bawknaak ce qee law uh.
