< Psalms 94 >

1 Lord, God of vengeance, God of vengeance, shine forth.
Ayi Mukama, ggwe Katonda awalana eggwanga, ggwe Katonda awalana eggwanga, labika omasemase.
2 Rise up, judge of the earth, pay back the proud what they deserve.
Golokoka, Ayi ggwe Omulamuzi w’ensi, osasule ab’amalala nga bwe kibagwanidde.
3 Lord, how long shall the wicked, how long shall the wicked exult,
Ayi Mukama, omukozi w’ebibi alikomya ddi? Omukozi w’ebibi alituusa ddi ng’asanyuka?
4 with their blustering arrogant words, their braggart and wicked speech,
Bafukumula ebigambo eby’okwewaanawaana; abakola ebibi bonna beepankapanka.
5 crushing your people, Lord, and afflicting your heritage,
Babetenta abantu bo, Ayi Mukama, babonyaabonya ezzadde lyo.
6 murdering widows and strangers, slaying the fatherless?
Batta nnamwandu n’omutambuze; ne batemula ataliiko kitaawe.
7 They think that the Lord does not see, nor the God of Jacob regard it.
Ne boogera nti, “Katonda talaba; Katonda wa Yakobo tafaayo.”
8 Take heed, you dullest of people; when will you be wise, you fools?
Mwerinde mmwe abantu abatategeera. Mmwe abasirusiru muligeziwala ddi?
9 Is he deaf, who shaped the ear? Is he blind, who fashioned the eye?
Oyo eyatonda okutu tawulira? Oyo eyakola eriiso talaba?
10 Can he who trains nations not punish them he who teaches knowledge to people?
Oyo akangavvula amawanga, taakubonereze? Oyo ayigiriza abantu talina ky’amanyi?
11 The Lord knows the thoughts of people, that only a breath are they.
Mukama amanyi ebirowoozo by’abantu; amanyi nga mukka bukka.
12 Happy are those whom you chasten, and teach out of your law,
Ayi Mukama, alina omukisa oyo gw’ogunjula, gw’oyigiriza eby’omu mateeka go;
13 keeping them calm in the day of misfortune, till a pit be dug for the wicked.
omuwummuzaako mu kabi kaalimu, okutuusa abakola ebibi lwe balisimirwa ekinnya.
14 For the Lord will not leave his people, he will not forsake his inheritance.
Kubanga Mukama talireka bantu be; talyabulira zzadde lye.
15 For the righteous shall come to their rights, and all true-hearted people shall follow them.
Aliramula mu butuukirivu, n’abo abalina emitima emigolokofu bwe banaakolanga.
16 Who will rise up for me against those who do evil? Who will stand up for me against workers of wrong?
Ani alinnwanyisizaako abakola ebibi? Ani alinnwanirira eri abakola ebibi?
17 Were it not for the help of the Lord, I would soon have gone to the silent grave.
Singa Mukama teyali mubeezi wange, omwoyo gwange gwandiserengese emagombe.
18 When I thought that my foot was slipping, your kindness, Lord, held me up.
Bwe naleekaana nti, “Nseerera!” Okwagala kwo okutaggwaawo, Ayi Mukama, ne kumpanirira.
19 When with cares my heart was crowded, your comforts make me glad.
Ebyeraliikiriza omutima gwange bwe byayitirira obungi, okusaasira kwo ne kuzzaamu omwoyo gwange amaanyi.
20 Can corrupt justice be your ally, framing mischief by statute?
Oyinza okukolagana n’obufuzi obukyamu, obukaabya abantu n’amateeka gaabwe?
21 They assail the life of the righteous, and innocent blood condemn.
Abakola ebibi beegatta ne balumbagana abatuukirivu; atasobezza ne bamusalira ogw’okufa.
22 But the Lord is my sure retreat, my God is the rock of my refuge.
Naye Mukama afuuse ekiddukiro kyange eky’amaanyi; ye Katonda wange, era Olwazi lwange mwe neekweka.
23 He will bring back their sin upon them, for their wickedness he will destroy them; the Lord our God will destroy them.
Mukama alibabonereza olw’ebibi byabwe, n’abazikiriza olw’ebyonoono byabwe; Mukama Katonda waffe alibamalirawo ddala.
