< Psalms 37 >
1 Of David. Be not kindled to wrath at the wicked, nor envious of those who work wrong;
Abụ Ọma Devid. Echegbula onwe gị nʼihi ndị na-eme ihe ọjọọ, maọbụ kwosa ndị na-eme ihe ọjọọ ekworo;
2 for, like grass, they will speedily wither, and fade like the green of young grass.
nʼihi na mgbe na-adịghị anya, ha ga-akpọnwụ dịka ahịhịa, dịka ahịhịa ndụ, ha ga-anwụkwa.
3 Trust in the Lord, and do good; remain in the land, and deal faithfully:
Tụkwasị Onyenwe anyị obi meekwa ihe ziri ezi; biri nʼala na nchebe, rijuokwa afọ.
4 then the Lord will be your delight, he will grant you your heart’s petitions.
Ka ihe Onyenwe anyị tọọ gị ụtọ. Ọ ga-enyekwa gị ihe niile bụ ọchịchọ nke obi gị.
5 Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him, and he will act,
Nyefee onwe gị nʼaka Onyenwe anyị; tụkwasị ya obi, ọ ga-emere gị nke a:
6 making clear as the light your right, and your just cause clear as the noon-day.
Ọ ga-eme ka ezi omume gị pụta ìhè dịka ihe nke chị ọbụbọ, meekwa ka izi ezi nke ikpe gị dịka ihe nke anyanwụ nʼehihie.
7 In silence and patience wait on the Lord. Be not kindled to anger at those who prosper. At those who execute evil devices.
Dere duu nʼihu Onyenwe anyị, were ndidi chere ya; echegbula onwe gị mgbe ndị ọzọ na-enwe ọganihu, mgbe ha na-emezu atụmatụ ọjọọ ha niile.
8 Desist from anger, abandon wrath: be not kindled to anger it leads but to evil:
Kwụsị iwe iwe, kwụsịkwa oke iwe; echegbula onwe gị, ọ na-eduba naanị nʼihe ọjọọ.
9 for evildoers will be cut off, but the land will be theirs, who wait on the Lord.
Nʼihi na a ga-ala ndị ajọ omume nʼiyi, ma ndị niile olileanya ha dị na Onyenwe anyị ga-eketa ala ahụ dịka ihe nketa ha.
10 Yet but a little, and the wicked vanish: look at their place: they are there no more.
Ọ fọdụrụ nwa oge nta, ndị ajọ omume ga-agabiga; ọ bụ ezie na ị ga-achọ ha, ma ị gaghị achọta ha.
11 But the humble will have the land, and the rapture of peace in abundance.
12 The wicked plots against the righteous, snarls like a wild animal;
Ndị ajọ omume na-agba izu ọjọọ megide ndị ezi omume, na-ata ikekere eze megide ha;
13 the Lord laughs, for he sees that his day is coming.
14 The wicked have drawn the sword, and bent the bow, to fell the poor, to slay those who walk uprightly;
Ndị ajọ omume amịpụtala mma agha ha, kwee ụta ha ime ka ndị nọ na mkpa na ndị ogbenye daa, igbu ndị ụzọ ha ziri ezi.
15 but their sword will pierce their own heart, and their bows will be broken in pieces.
16 Better is the righteous person’s little than the wealth of many wicked.
Ihe ntakịrị nke onye ezi omume nwere dị mma karịa akụnụba ọtụtụ ndị ajọ omume;
17 For the arms of the wicked will be broken, but the Lord upholds the righteous.
nʼihi na a ga-etiji ike niile nke ndị ajọ omume, ma Onyenwe anyị ga-akwagide ndị ezi omume.
18 The Lord watches over the days of the blameless, their heritage will continue forever.
Ndị na-enweghị ịta ụta na-ebi ndụ ha nʼokpuru nlekọta Onyenwe anyị, ihe nketa ha ga-adịgide ruo mgbe ebighị ebi.
19 They will not be shamed in the evil time, in the days of famine they will be satisfied.
Nʼoge ihe ndakwasị, ha agaghị akpọnwụ; ha ga-erijukwa afọ nʼụbọchị ụnwụ.
20 Because the wicked will perish: but the foes of the Lord, like a brand in the oven, will vanish, like smoke they will vanish.
Ma ndị ajọ omume ga-ala nʼiyi. Nʼagbanyeghị na ndị iro Onyenwe anyị dịka ịma mma nke ubi ahịhịa ndụ, ha ga-agabigakwa ngwangwa nʼanya dịka anwụrụ ọkụ.
21 The wicked must borrow and cannot pay back, but the righteous is lavish and gives.
22 For those blest by the Lord inherit the land, while those whom he curses will be cut off.
Ndị Onyenwe anyị gọziri agọzi ga-eketa akụ nke ụwa, ma ndị ọ bụrụ ọnụ ka a ga-egbuchapụ.
23 The Lord supports the steps of those with whom he is pleased.
Ọ bụrụ na Onyenwe anyị nwere mmasị na ndụ mmadụ, ọ ga-eme ka nzọ ụkwụ ya guzosie ike;
24 Though they fall, they will not be cast headlong, for the Lord holds their hands.
25 Never, from youth to age, have I seen the righteous forsaken, or their children begging bread.
Abụ m nwantakịrị na mbụ, ugbu a, abụ m agadi, ma ahụbeghị m ebe e chefuru ndị ezi omume, maọbụ ebe ụmụ ha na-arịọ nri.
26 They are ever lavishly lending, and their children are fountains of blessing.
Mgbe niile, ha na-eme amara jiri obi ha na-agbazinye ndị mmadụ ihe, ụmụ ha ga-abụ ngọzị.
27 Turn away from evil and do good and you will live in the land forever.
Site nʼihe ọjọọ pụọ, mee ezi ihe, mgbe ahụ, i ga-ebi nʼala a ruo mgbe ebighị ebi.
28 For the Lord loves justice, he does not forsake his friends. The unrighteous will be destroyed forever, and the seed of the wicked will be cut off.
Onyenwe anyị na-ahụ onye ezi omume na ikpe ziri ezi nʼanya. Ọ gaghị ahapụkwa ndị ya kwesiri ntụkwasị obi. A ga-echebe ha ruo mgbe ebighị ebi, ma ụmụ ndị ajọ omume ka a ga-egbuchapụ;
29 But the land will belong to the righteous, they will live upon it forever,
30 The mouth of the righteous murmurs wisdom, and words of justice are on their tongues.
Okwu amamihe na-esi nʼọnụ onye ezi omume pụta, ire ya na-ekwukwa ihe ziri ezi.
31 The law of their God is in their heart, their steps are never unsteady.
32 The wicked watches the righteous, and seeks to put them to death.
Ndị ajọ omume na-echere ndị ezi omume na nzuzo, na-achọ ịnapụ ha ndụ ha;
33 But the Lord leaves them not in their hand: at their trial they will not be held guilty.
34 Wait on the Lord, and observe his way: he will lift you to honour the land will be yours, you will feast your eyes on the doom of the wicked.
Chere Onyenwe anyị, debekwa ụzọ ya. Ọ ga-ebuli gị elu ka i nweta ala ahụ dịka ihe nketa; mgbe a na-egbuchapụ ndị ajọ omume, ị ga-eji anya gị hụ ya.
35 I have seen the wicked exultant, lifting themselves like a cedar of Lebanon.
Ahụla m onye ajọ omume na nwoke na-eme ihe ike, ka ọ na-eto, na-awasa, dịka osisi dị ndụ nʼezi ala,
36 But the moment I passed, they vanished! I sought for them, but they could not be found.
37 Preserve your honour and practise uprightness, for such a person fares well in the end.
Ma tụgharịa uche banyere ndị ezi omume, rịbaa ndị ụzọ ha ziri ezi ama; ọganihu dịịrị onye udo.
38 But transgressors will perish together. Cut off are the wicked forever.
Ma a ga-ala ndị mmehie niile nʼiyi; ọ dịghị olileanya dịịrị ndị ajọ omume.
39 The righteous are saved by the Lord, who in time of distress is their refuge:
Nzọpụta nke ndị ezi omume si nʼaka Onyenwe anyị bịa; ọ bụ ebe ha e wusiri ike nʼoge nsogbu.
40 the Lord helps and rescue them, from the wicked he rescues and saves them, because they take refuge in him.
