< Psalms 14 >
1 For the leader. Of David. Fools say in their heart, ‘There is no God.’ Vile, hateful their life is; not one does good.
Kumutungamiri wokuimba. Pisarema raDhavhidhi. Benzi rinoti mumwoyo maro, “Hakuna Mwari.” Vakaora, mabasa avo akashata; hakuna anoita zvakanaka.
2 From heaven the Lord looks out on humans, to see if any are wise, and care for God.
Jehovha ari kudenga anotarira pasi pamusoro pavanakomana vavanhu, kuti aone kana aripo anonzwisisa, naani zvake anotsvaka Mwari.
3 But all have turned bad, the taint is on all; not one does good, no, not one.
Vose vakatsauka, vose pamwe chete vakasvibiswa; hakuna anoita zvakanaka, kunyange nomumwe.
4 Have they learned their lesson, those workers of evil? Who ate up my people, eating, devouring, never calling to the Lord.
Ko, vaiti vezvakaipa havadzidziwo here, ivo vanodya vanhu vangu savanhu vanodya chingwa, uye vasingadani kuna Jehovha?
5 Sore afraid will they be; for God is among those who are righteous,
Pavari ipapo, vakazara nokutya, nokuti Mwari ari paungano yavakarurama.
6 you may mock the plans of the poor, but the Lord is their refuge.
Imi vaiti vezvakaipa, munokanganisa urongwa hwavarombo, asi Jehovha ndiye utiziro hwavo.
7 If only help from Zion would come for Israel! When the Lord brings his people a change of fortune, how glad will be Jacob, and Israel how joyful!
Haiwa, dai ruponeso rwaIsraeri rwaibuda muZioni! Kana Jehovha achidzosazve nhaka yavanhu vake, Jakobho ngaapembere uye Israeri ngaafare.
