< Psalms 110 >

1 Of David, a psalm. This said the Lord concerning my lord, ‘Sit at my right hand, till I set your foot on the neck of your foes.’
INkosi yathi eNkosini yami: Hlala ngakwesokunene sami, ngize ngenze izitha zakho zibe yisenabelo senyawo zakho.
2 On Zion the Lord is wielding your sceptre of might, and charges you to rule over the foes that surround you.
INkosi izathuma intonga yamandla akho ivela eZiyoni. Busa phakathi kwezitha zakho.
3 The day that you march to battle your people will follow you gladly young warriors in holy array, like dew-drops, born of the morning.
Abantu bakho bazavuma ngosuku lwamandla akho, ebuhleni bobungcwele, kusukela esizalweni semadabukakusa kuza kuwe amazolo obutsha bakho.
4 The Lord has sworn and will not repent, ‘As for you, you are priest for ever as Melchizedek was.’
INkosi ifungile, kayiyikuphenduka: Wena ungumpristi kuze kube nininini ngokwendlela kaMelkizedeki.
5 By your side will the Lord shatter kings on the day of his wrath.
INkosi ngakwesokunene sakho izachoboza amakhosi osukwini lokuthukuthela kwayo.
6 He will execute judgment filling the valleys with dead, the broad fields with shattered heads.
Izakwehlulela phakathi kwezizwe, kugcwale izidumbu; izachoboza inhloko phezu kwelizwe elikhulu.
7 He will drink of the brook by the way, and march onward with uplifted head.
Izanatha esifuleni endleleni; ngakho-ke izaphakamisa ikhanda.
