Hebrews 1
1 God, who, of old, at many times and in many ways, spoke to our ancestors, by the prophets,
Havendo Deus antigamente falado muitas vezes, e em muitas maneiras, aos pais, pelos profetas, a nós falou-nos nestes últimos dias pelo Filho,
2 has in these latter days spoken to us by the Son, whom he appointed the heir of all things, and through whom he made the universe. (aiōn g165)
A quem constituiu herdeiro de todas as coisas, por quem fez também o mundo. (aiōn g165)
3 For he is the radiance of the glory of God and the expression of his being, upholding all creation by the power of his word; and, when he had made an expiation for the sins of humanity, he took his seat at the right hand of God’s Majesty on high,
O qual, sendo o resplendor da sua glória, e a expressa imagem da sua pessoa, e sustentando todas as coisas, pela palavra do seu poder, havendo feito por si mesmo a purificação dos nossos pecados, assentou-se à dextra da magestade nas alturas;
4 having shown himself as much greater than the angels as the name that he has inherited surpasses theirs.
Feito tanto mais excelente do que os anjos, quanto herdou mais excelente nome do que eles.
5 For to which of the angels did God ever say – “You are my Son; this day I have become your Father”? or again – “I will be to him a Father, and he will be to me a Son”?
Porque, a qual dos anjos disse jamais: Tu és meu Filho, hoje te gerei? E outra vez: Eu lhe serei por Pai, e ele me será por Filho?
6 And again, when God brought the firstborn into the world, he said – “Let all the angels of God bow down before him.”
E outra vez, quando introduziu no mundo o primogênito, diz: E todos os anjos de Deus o adorem.
7 Speaking of the angels, he said – “He makes the winds his angels and the flames of fire his servants”;
E, quanto aos anjos, diz: O que a seus anjos faz espíritos, e a seus ministros labareda de fogo.
8 while of the Son he said – “God is your throne for ever and ever; the sceptre of his kingdom is the sceptre of Justice; (aiōn g165)
Mas, quanto ao Filho, diz: Ó Deus, o teu trono subsiste pelos séculos dos séculos: cetro de equidade é o cetro do teu reino: (aiōn g165)
9 You love righteousness and hates iniquity; therefore God, your God, has anointed you with the festal oil more abundantly than your peers.”
Amaste a justiça e aborreceste a iniquidade; por isso Deus, o teu Deus, te ungiu com óleo de alegria mais do que a teus companheiros.
10 Again – “You, Lord, in the beginning did lay the foundation of the earth, and the heavens are the work of your hands.
E: Tu, Senhor, no princípio fundaste a terra, e os céus são obra de tuas mãos:
11 They will perish, but you remain; as a garment they will all grow old;
Eles perecerão, porém tu permanecerás; e todos eles, como roupa, se envelhecerão,
12 As a mantle you will fold them up, and as a garment they will be changed, but you are the same, and your years will know no end.”
E como uma manta os enrolarás, e mudar-se-ão, porém tu és o mesmo, e os teus anos não acabarão.
13 To which of the angels has God ever said – “Sit you at my right hand until I put your enemies as a stool for your feet”?
E a qual dos anjos disse jamais: Assenta-te à minha dextra até que ponha a teus inimigos por escabelo de teus pés?
14 Are not all the angels spirits in the service of God, sent out to minister for the sake of those who are destined to obtain salvation?
Não são porventura todos eles espíritos ministradores, enviados para servir a favor daqueles que hão de herdar a salvação?
