Colossians 4
1 Masters, do what is right and fair by your slaves, for you know that you also have a Master – in heaven.
அபரஞ்ச ஹே அதி⁴பதய: , யூயம்’ தா³ஸாந் ப்ரதி ந்யாய்யம்’ யதா²ர்த²ஞ்சாசரணம்’ குருத்⁴வம்’ யுஷ்மாகமப்யேகோ(அ)தி⁴பதி: ஸ்வர்கே³ வித்³யத இதி ஜாநீத|
2 Devote yourselves to prayer. Give your whole mind to it, and also offer thanksgiving;
யூயம்’ ப்ரார்த²நாயாம்’ நித்யம்’ ப்ரவர்த்தத்⁴வம்’ த⁴ந்யவாத³ம்’ குர்வ்வந்தஸ்தத்ர ப்ரபு³த்³தா⁴ஸ்திஷ்ட²த ச|
3 and at the same time pray for us, so that God may give us an opening for our message, so that we may speak of the truths hidden in the Christ – the truths for which I am in chains!
ப்ரார்த²நாகாலே மமாபி க்ரு’தே ப்ரார்த²நாம்’ குருத்⁴வம்’,
4 Then I will make them known, as I ought to do.
ப²லத: க்²ரீஷ்டஸ்ய யந்நிகூ³ட⁴வாக்யகாரணாத்³ அஹம்’ ப³த்³தோ⁴(அ)ப⁴வம்’ தத்ப்ரகாஸா²யேஸ்²வரோ யத் மத³ர்த²ம்’ வாக்³த்³வாரம்’ குர்ய்யாத், அஹஞ்ச யதோ²சிதம்’ தத் ப்ரகாஸ²யிதும்’ ஸ²க்நுயாம் ஏதத் ப்ரார்த²யத்⁴வம்’|
5 Show tact in your behaviour to the outside world, making the most of every opportunity.
யூயம்’ ஸமயம்’ ப³ஹுமூல்யம்’ ஜ்ஞாத்வா ப³ஹி: ஸ்தா²ந் லோகாந் ப்ரதி ஜ்ஞாநாசாரம்’ குருத்⁴வம்’|
6 Let your conversation always be kindly, but not bland, season it, as it were, with salt; be aware in each case of the answer you should be giving.
யுஷ்மாகம் ஆலாப: ஸர்வ்வதா³நுக்³ரஹஸூசகோ லவணேந ஸுஸ்வாது³ஸ்²ச ப⁴வது யஸ்மை யது³த்தரம்’ தா³தவ்யம்’ தத்³ யுஷ்மாபி⁴ரவக³ம்யதாம்’|
7 Our dear friend, Tychicus, will tell you all about me. He is a faithful minister, and a fellow servant in the Master’s cause.
மம யா த³ஸா²க்தி தாம்’ துகி²கநாமா ப்ரபௌ⁴ ப்ரியோ மம ப்⁴ராதா விஸ்²வஸநீய: பரிசாரக: ஸஹதா³ஸஸ்²ச யுஷ்மாந் ஜ்ஞாபயிஷ்யதி|
8 I send him to you expressly that you may learn our circumstances, and that he may give you encouragement.
ஸ யத்³ யுஷ்மாகம்’ த³ஸா²ம்’ ஜாநீயாத் யுஷ்மாகம்’ மநாம்’ஸி ஸாந்த்வயேச்ச தத³ர்த²மேவாஹம்’
9 With him will be Onesimus, our dear faithful friend, who is one of yourselves. They will tell you all that is going on here.
தம் ஓநீஷிமநாமாநஞ்ச யுஷ்மத்³தே³ஸீ²யம்’ விஸ்²வஸ்தம்’ ப்ரியஞ்ச ப்⁴ராதரம்’ ப்ரேஷிதவாந் தௌ யுஷ்மாந் அத்ரத்யாம்’ ஸர்வ்வவார்த்தாம்’ ஜ்ஞாபயிஷ்யத: |
10 My fellow prisoner, Aristarchus, sends you his greeting, and Barnabas’s cousin, Mark, sends his. (You have received directions about him. If he comes to you, make him welcome.)
ஆரிஷ்டார்க²நாமா மம ஸஹப³ந்தீ³ ப³ர்ணப்³பா³ பா⁴கி³நேயோ மார்கோ யுஷ்டநாம்நா விக்²யாதோ யீஸு²ஸ்²சைதே சி²ந்நத்வசோ ப்⁴ராதரோ யுஷ்மாந் நமஸ்காரம்’ ஜ்ஞாபயந்தி, தேஷாம்’ மத்⁴யே மார்கமதி⁴ யூயம்’ பூர்வ்வம் ஆஜ்ஞாபிதா: ஸ யதி³ யுஷ்மத்ஸமீபம் உபதிஷ்டே²த் தர்ஹி யுஷ்மாபி⁴ ர்க்³ரு’ஹ்யதாம்’|
11 Joshua, who is called Justus, also sends his greeting. These are the only converts from Judaism who have worked with me for the kingdom of God; I have found them a great comfort.
கேவலமேத ஈஸ்²வரராஜ்யே மம ஸாந்த்வநாஜநகா: ஸஹகாரிணோ(அ)ப⁴வந்|
12 Epaphras, who is one of yourselves, sends you his greeting. He is a servant of Christ Jesus, and is always most earnest in your behalf in his prayers, praying that you may stand firm, with a matured faith and with a sure conviction of all that is in accordance with God’s will.
க்²ரீஷ்டஸ்ய தா³ஸோ யோ யுஷ்மத்³தே³ஸீ²ய இபப்²ரா: ஸ யுஷ்மாந் நமஸ்காரம்’ ஜ்ஞாபயதி யூயஞ்சேஸ்²வரஸ்ய ஸர்வ்வஸ்மிந் மநோ(அ)பி⁴லாஷே யத் ஸித்³தா⁴: பூர்ணாஸ்²ச ப⁴வேத தத³ர்த²ம்’ ஸ நித்யம்’ ப்ரார்த²நயா யுஷ்மாகம்’ க்ரு’தே யததே|
13 I can bear testimony to the deep interest he takes in you, as well as in the followers at Laodicea and at Hierapolis.
யுஷ்மாகம்’ லாயதி³கேயாஸ்தி²தாநாம்’ ஹியராபலிஸ்தி²தாநாஞ்ச ப்⁴ராத்ரு’ணாம்’ ஹிதாய ஸோ(அ)தீவ சேஷ்டத இத்யஸ்மிந் அஹம்’ தஸ்ய ஸாக்ஷீ ப⁴வாமி|
14 Luke, our dear doctor, sends you his greeting, and Demas sends his.
லூகநாமா ப்ரியஸ்²சிகித்ஸகோ தீ³மாஸ்²ச யுஷ்மப்⁴யம்’ நமஸ்குர்வ்வாதே|
15 Give my greeting to the followers at Laodicea, and to Nymphe, and to the church that meets at her house.
யூயம்’ லாயதி³கேயாஸ்தா²ந் ப்⁴ராத்ரு’ந் நும்பா²ம்’ தத்³க்³ரு’ஹஸ்தி²தாம்’ ஸமிதிஞ்ச மம நமஸ்காரம்’ ஜ்ஞாபயத|
16 And when this letter has been read to you, see that it is also read before the church at Laodicea, and that you yourselves read the letter which will be forwarded from there.
அபரம்’ யுஷ்மத்ஸந்நிதௌ⁴ பத்ரஸ்யாஸ்ய பாடே² க்ரு’தே லாயதி³கேயாஸ்த²ஸமிதாவபி தஸ்ய பாடோ² யதா² ப⁴வேத் லாயதி³கேயாஞ்ச யத் பத்ரம்’ மயா ப்ரஹிதம்’ தத்³ யதா² யுஷ்மாபி⁴ரபி பட்²யேத ததா² சேஷ்டத்⁴வம்’|
17 Give this message to Archippus – “Take care to discharge to the best of your ability the office to which you were appointed in the Master’s cause.”
அபரம் ஆர்கி²ப்பம்’ வத³த ப்ரபோ⁴ ர்யத் பரிசர்ய்யாபத³ம்’ த்வயாப்ராபி தத்ஸாத⁴நாய ஸாவதா⁴நோ ப⁴வ|
18 I, Paul, add this greeting in my own handwriting. Remember these chains of mine. God’s blessing be with you.
அஹம்’ பௌல: ஸ்வஹஸ்தாக்ஷரேண யுஷ்மாந் நமஸ்காரம்’ ஜ்ஞாபயாமி யூயம்’ மம ப³ந்த⁴நம்’ ஸ்மரத| யுஷ்மாந் ப்ரத்யநுக்³ரஹோ பூ⁴யாத்| ஆமேந|
