Acts 8
1 Saul approved of his being put to death. On that very day a great persecution broke out against the church which was in Jerusalem; and its members, with the exception of the apostles, were all scattered over the districts of Judea and Samaria.
| شاول بە کوشتنی ستیفانۆس ڕازی بوو. هەر لەو ڕۆژەدا کڵێسا لە ئۆرشەلیم تووشی چەوسانەوەیەکی توند هات. هەموو بە ناوچەکانی یەهودیا و سامیرەدا پەرشوبڵاو بوونەوە، نێردراوان نەبێت. |
2 Some religious men buried Stephen, with loud lamentations for him.
| هەندێک پیاوی لەخواترس ستیفانۆسیان ناشت و پرسەیەکی باشیان بۆ دانا. |
3 But Saul began to devastate the church; he entered house after house, dragged out men and women alike, and threw them into prison.
| بەڵام شاول دەستی کرد بە لەناوبردنی کڵێسا، ماڵ بە ماڵ ژن و پیاوی ڕادەکێشا و فڕێیدەدانە زیندان. |
4 Now those who were scattered in different directions went from place to place proclaiming the good news.
| ئەوانەی پەرشوبڵاو ببوونەوە دەگەڕان و مزگێنیی پەیامی خودایان بڵاودەکردەوە. |
5 Philip went down to the city of Samaria, and there began to preach the Christ.
| فیلیپۆس بەرەو شاری سامیرە چووە خوارەوە و لەوێ مزگێنیی مەسیحی بە خەڵکەکە ڕاگەیاند. |
6 The people, one and all, listened attentively to what Philip told them, when they heard of, and saw, the miracles which he was working.
| خەڵکەکە بە یەک دڵ گوێیان لەوە دەگرت کە فیلیپۆس دەیگوت، کاتێک ئەو نیشانانەیان دەبیست و دەبینی کە دەیکرد. |
7 For there were many instances of people with foul spirits, where the spirits, with loud screams, came out of them; and many who were paralysed or lame were cured,
| ڕۆحی پیسیش لە زۆر کەس لەوانەی تێیاندا بوو بە دەنگی بەرز هاواریان دەکرد و دەردەچوون، زۆر گۆج و شەلیش چاکبوونەوە. |
8 so that there was great rejoicing throughout that city.
| جا خۆشییەکی گەورە ئەو شارەی گرتەوە. |
9 There was staying in the city a man named Simon, who had been practicing magic there and mystifying the Samaritan people, giving himself out to be some great being.
| پێشتر لە شارەکە پیاوێک هەبوو ناوی شیمۆن بوو، جادووی دەکرد و خەڵکی سامیرەی سەرسام کردبوو، دەیگوت: «پیاوێکی پایەبەرزم!» |
10 Everyone, high and low, paid attention to him. “This man,” they used to say, “must be that power of God which people call ‘The Great Power.’”
| گەورە و بچووک هەموو گوێیان لێ دەگرت و دەیانگوت: «ئەم پیاوە بە هێزی خودای گەورە ناودەبردرێت.» |
11 And they paid attention to him because they had for a long time been mystified by his magic arts.
| ئەوان گوێیان بۆ دەگرت، چونکە لەمێژ بوو بە جادووەکەی سەرسامی کردبوون. |
12 However, when they came to believe Philip, as he told them the good news about the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptised, both men and women.
| بەڵام کاتێک فیلیپۆس مزگێنیی پاشایەتی خودا و ناوی عیسای مەسیحی پێدان، باوەڕیان کرد و ژن و پیاو لە ئاو هەڵکێشران. |
13 Even Simon believed, and after his baptism attached himself to Philip, and was in his turn mystified at seeing signs and great miracles constantly occurring.
| شیمۆنیش باوەڕی هێنا و لە ئاو هەڵکێشرا، ئینجا دوای فیلیپۆس کەوت و سەرسام بوو بەو نیشانە و پەرجووە گەورانەی کە دەیبینی. |
14 When the apostles at Jerusalem heard that the Samaritans had welcomed God’s message, they sent Peter and John to them;
| کاتێک نێردراوان لە ئۆرشەلیم بیستیان سامیرە پەیامی خودای قبوڵ کردووە، پەترۆس و یۆحەنایان بۆ ناردن. |
15 and they, on their arrival, prayed that the Samaritans might receive the Holy Spirit.
| کاتێک هاتن، نوێژیان بۆ کردن بۆ ئەوەی ڕۆحی پیرۆز وەربگرن، |
16 (As yet the Spirit had not descended on any of them; they had only been baptised in the name of the Lord Jesus).
| چونکە هێشتا ڕۆحی پیرۆز نەهاتبووە سەر کەسیان، تەنها بە ناوی عیسای خاوەن شکۆوە لە ئاو هەڵکێشرابوون. |
17 Then Peter and John placed their hands on them, and they received the Holy Spirit.
| جا پەترۆس و یۆحەنا دەستیان لەسەر دانان و ڕۆحی پیرۆزیان وەرگرت. |
18 When Simon saw that it was through the placing of the apostles’ hands on them that the Spirit was given, he brought them a sum of money and said,
| شیمۆن بینی کە نێردراوان دەستیان لەسەر خەڵک دادەنێن ڕۆحی پیرۆز دەدرێت، پارەی بۆ هێنان و |
19 ‘Give me also this power of yours, so that, if I place my hands on anyone, he may receive the Holy Spirit.’
| گوتی: «ئەو دەسەڵاتە بە منیش بدەن، تاکو دەست لەسەر هەرکەسێک دابنێم ڕۆحی پیرۆز وەربگرێت.» |
20 ‘A curse on you and on your silver,’ Peter exclaimed, ‘for thinking that God’s free gift can be bought with money!
| پەترۆس پێی گوت: «با زیوەکەت لەگەڵ خۆت لەناوبچێت! چونکە واتزانی بەهرەی خودا بە پارە دەبێت! |
21 You have no share or part in our message, for your heart is not right with God.
| لەم شتەدا نە بەشت هەیە و نە پشک، چونکە دڵت بەرامبەر خودا ڕاست نییە. |
22 Therefore repent of this wickedness of yours, and pray to the Lord, that, if possible, you may be forgiven for such a thought;
| لەم خراپەیەت تۆبە بکە و لە مەسیحی خاوەن شکۆ بپاڕێوە بەڵکو لە مەبەستی دڵت خۆش بێت، |
23 for I see that you have fallen into the bitterness of envy and the fetters of sin.’
| چونکە دەتبینم کە پڕیت لە تاڵی و گیرۆدەی گوناهیت.» |
24 ‘Pray to the Lord for me, all of you,’ Simon answered, ‘so that none of the things you have spoken of may happen to me.’
| شیمۆن گوتی: «ئێوە لە پێناوی من داوا لە مەسیحی خاوەن شکۆ بکەن، تاکو هیچ شتێک لەوەی باستان کرد بە سەرمدا نەیەت.» |
25 Peter and John, having borne their testimony and delivered the Lord’s message, returned to Jerusalem, telling the good news, as they went, in many Samaritan villages.
| دوای ئەوەی پەترۆس و یۆحەنا لەبارەی عیساوە شایەتییان دا و پەیامی مەسیحی خاوەن شکۆیان ڕاگەیاند، گەڕانەوە ئۆرشەلیم و مزگێنییان دایە زۆر گوندی سامیرەیی. |
26 Meanwhile an angel of the Lord had said to Philip, ‘Set out on a journey southwards, along the road that runs down from Jerusalem to Gaza.’ (It is now deserted).
| فریشتەیەکی یەزدان بە فیلیپۆسی گوت: «هەستە و بەرەو باشوور بڕۆ، لەسەر ئەو ڕێگایەی لە ئۆرشەلیمەوە بۆ غەزە شۆڕ دەبێتەوە، کە چۆڵەوانییە.» |
27 So Philip set out on a journey; and on his way he came on an official of high rank, in the service of Candace, Queen of the Abyssinians. He was her treasurer, and had been to Jerusalem to worship,
| ئەویش هەستا و ڕۆیشت، پیاوێکی خەساوی حەبەشی بینی کە وەزیری کاروباری دارایی کنداکەی شاژنی حەبەشە بوو، بۆ پەرستن هاتبووە ئۆرشەلیم. |
28 and was now on his way home, sitting in his carriage and reading the prophet Isaiah.
| لە گەڕانەوەدا بوو، لەناو گالیسکەکەی دانیشتبوو، پەڕتووکی ئیشایا پێغەمبەری دەخوێندەوە. |
29 The Spirit said to Philip, ‘Go up to the carriage over there and keep close to it.’
| ڕۆحی پیرۆز بە فیلیپۆسی فەرموو: «بڕۆ پێش و لەگەڵ ئەو گالیسکەیە بڕۆ.» |
30 So Philip ran up, and he heard the Abyssinian reading the prophet Isaiah. ‘Do you understand what you are reading?’ he asked.
| ئیتر فیلیپۆس پەلەی کرد و گوێی لێبوو پەڕتووکی ئیشایا پێغەمبەر دەخوێنێتەوە. گوتی: «ئایا ئەوەی دەیخوێنیتەوە تێیدەگەیت؟» |
31 ‘How can I,’ the other answered, ‘unless someone will explain it to me?’ and he invited Philip to get up and sit by his side.
| گوتی: «چۆن بتوانم ئەگەر یەکێک ڕێنماییم نەکات؟» جا فیلیپۆسی بانگکرد سەربکەوێت و لەگەڵی دابنیشێت. |
32 The passage of scripture which he was reading was this – “Like a sheep, he was led away to slaughter, and as a lamb is dumb in the hands of its shearer, so he refrains from opening his lips.
| ئەو بڕگەیەی نووسراوە پیرۆزەکان کە دەیخوێندەوە ئەمە بوو: [ئەو وەک مەڕ بۆ سەربڕین بردرا، وەک چۆن بەرخ لەبەردەستی ئەوەی خورییەکەی دەبڕێتەوە بێدەنگە، ئەو دەمی نەکردەوە. |
33 He was humiliated and justice was denied him. Who will tell the story of his generation? For his life is cut off from earth.”
| لە کاتی سووکایەتی پێکردنیدا لە دادپەروەری بێبەش کرا. ئیتر کێ باسی نەوەکانی دەکات؟ چونکە ژیانی لەسەر زەوی هەڵگیرا.] |
34 ‘Now,’ said the Treasurer, addressing Philip, ‘tell me, of whom is the prophet speaking? Of himself, or of someone else?’
| خەساوەکە پرسیاری لە فیلیپۆس کرد: «پرسیارێکم هەیە: ئەم پێغەمبەرە باسی کێ دەکات؟ باسی خۆی یان یەکێکی دیکە؟» |
35 Then Philip began, and, taking this passage as his text, told him the good news about Jesus.
| ئینجا فیلیپۆس لەم نووسراوە پیرۆزەوە دەستی کرد بە ڕوونکردنەوەی دەقەکە و مزگێنیی عیسای دایێ. |
36 Presently, as they were going along the road, they came to some water, and the Treasurer exclaimed, ‘Look! Here is water; what is to prevent my being baptised?’
| کاتێک بە ڕێگاوە بوون، گەیشتنە سەر ئاوێک، خەساوەکە گوتی: «ئەوە ئاوە، چی ڕێم لێ دەگرێت لە ئاو هەڵبکێشرێم؟» |
| فیلیپۆس گوتی: «دەبێت، ئەگەر بە هەموو دڵتەوە باوەڕ بهێنیت.» ئەویش وەڵامی دایەوە: «باوەڕ دەکەم عیسای مەسیح کوڕی خودایە.» |
38 So he ordered the carriage to stop, and they went down into the water – both Philip and the Treasurer – and Philip baptised him.
| ئینجا فەرمانی دا گالیسکەکە ڕاوەستێ، ئەوسا پێکەوە چوونە ناو ئاوەکە و فیلیپۆس خەساوەکەی لە ئاو هەڵکێشا. |
39 But, when they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught Philip away, and the Treasurer saw no more of him; for he continued his journey with a joyful heart.
| کاتێک لە ئاوەکە هاتنە دەرەوە، ڕۆحی یەزدان فیلیپۆسی ڕفاند و ئیتر خەساوەکە نەیبینییەوە، بەڵام بە خۆشییەوە بە ڕێگای خۆیدا ڕۆیشت. |
40 But Philip was found at Ashdod, and, as he went on his way, he told the good news in all the towns through which he passed, until he came to Caesarea.
| فیلیپۆسیش لە ئەشدۆد بینرایەوە، دواتر بە هەموو شارەکاندا دەگەڕا و مزگێنیی دەدا هەتا گەیشتە قەیسەرییە. |
