1 Corinthians 3
1 But I, my friends, could not speak to you as people with spiritual insight, but only as worldly-minded – mere infants in the faith of Christ.
Irmãos e irmãs, eu não pude falar com vocês como costumo fazer com pessoas que têm o Espírito de Deus. Eu precisei falar com vocês como se fossem pessoas do mundo, como se fossem bebês cristãos.
2 I fed you with milk, not with solid food, for you were not then able to take it. No, and even now you are not able; you are still worldly.
Eu lhes dei leite, pois eu não poderia lhes dar comida sólida para comer, porque não estavam prontos para isso.
3 While there exist among you jealousy and party feeling, is it not true that you are worldly, and are acting merely as other people do?
Mesmo agora, vocês não estão prontos para isso, porque ainda são pessoas deste mundo. Por vocês ainda serem ciumentos e questionadores, isso não prova que ainda são pessoas deste mundo e que se comportam exatamente como essas pessoas?
4 When one says “I follow Paul,” and another “I follow Apollos,” aren’t you like other people?
Quando um de vocês diz: “Eu sigo Paulo”, enquanto outro fala: “Eu sigo Apolo”, isso não demonstra que vocês estão agindo como as pessoas deste mundo?
5 What, I ask, is Apollos? Or what is Paul? Servants through whom you were led to accept the faith; and that only as the Lord helped each of you.
E quem é Apolo, afinal de contas? Quem é Paulo? Somos apenas servos de Deus, para que, por nosso intermédio, vocês acreditassem em Deus. Cada um de nós realiza o trabalho que Deus nos deu para fazer.
6 I planted, and Apollos watered, but it was God who caused the growth.
Eu plantei as sementes, e Apolo cuidou da irrigação delas, mas foi Deus quem fez com que as sementes, que são vocês, se desenvolvessem.
7 Therefore neither the one who plants, nor the one who waters, counts for anything, but only God who causes the growth.
Então, não importa quem planta ou quem rega. O único que realmente importa é Deus, que faz com que vocês se desenvolvam.
8 In this the person who plants and the person who waters are one; yet each will receive their own reward in proportion to their own labour.
Quem planta e quem rega têm o mesmo objetivo, e ambos serão recompensados de acordo com o trabalho que fizeram.
9 For we are God’s fellow workers; you are God’s harvest field, God’s building.
Nós trabalhamos junto com Deus, enquanto vocês são o campo de Deus, o seu edifício.
10 In fulfilment of the charge which God had entrusted to me, I laid the foundation like a skilful master; but someone else is now building on it. Let everyone take care how they build;
De acordo com a bênção de Deus, a qual ele me deu, eu coloquei o alicerce, como um construtor habilidoso. Agora, outra pessoa está construindo em cima do alicerce que eu coloquei. Quem constrói o prédio precisa olhar o que está sendo feito.
11 for no one can lay any other foundation than the one already laid – Jesus Christ.
Pois ninguém pode colocar qualquer outro alicerce além daquele que já foi colocado, ou seja, Jesus Cristo.
12 Whatever is used by those who build on this foundation, whether gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay, or straw,
Aqueles que constroem sobre esse alicerce podem usar ouro, prata, pedras preciosas, madeira, feno ou palha,
13 the quality of each man’s work will become known, for the day will make it plain; because that day is to be ushered in with fire, and the fire itself will test the quality of every man’s work.
mas, o que quer que seja usado na construção da obra será mostrado um dia. Pois no Dia do Julgamento, o fogo irá revelar a obra e testará a sua qualidade. O trabalho de cada um será mostrado pelo que realmente é.
14 If anyone’s work, which they have built on that foundation, still remains, they will gain a reward.
Se o que foi construído aguentar, então, o seu construtor será recompensado.
15 If anyone’s work is burnt up, they will suffer loss; though they themselves will escape, but only as one who has passed through fire.
Mas, se o que foi construído for consumido pelas chamas, então, o seu construtor não receberá a recompensa. Ele ainda será salvo, mas será como passar pelo fogo para se salvar.
16 Don’t you know that you are God’s Temple, and that God’s Spirit has his home in you?
Vocês não sabem que são o templo de Deus e que o Espírito de Deus vive em vocês?
17 If any one destroys the Temple of God, God will destroy them; for the Temple of God is sacred, and so also are you.
Qualquer um que destrói o templo de Deus também será destruído por ele, pois o templo de Deus é sagrado, e vocês são o templo.
18 Let no one deceive himself. If any one among you imagines that, as regards this world, they are wise, they should become a “fool,” that they may become wise. (aiōn g165)
Não se enganem. Se houver alguém entre vocês que pensa ser sábio de acordo com a sabedoria humana, então, precisa se tornar louco, para que possa ser verdadeiramente sábio. (aiōn g165)
19 For in God’s sight this world’s wisdom is folly. Scripture tells of – “One who catches the wise in their own craftiness,”
A sabedoria deste mundo é loucura aos olhos de Deus. Como as Sagradas Escrituras dizem: “Ele pega os sábios na própria sabedoria deles”
20 And it says again – “The Lord sees how fruitless are the deliberations of the wise.”
e: “O Senhor sabe que os argumentos dos sábios não fazem sentido.”
21 Therefore let no one boast about people; for all things are yours –
Então, não sintam orgulho das pessoas. Pois tudo isso é de vocês,
22 whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or the present, or the future – all things are yours!
seja Paulo, Apolo ou Pedro, ou o mundo, a vida, a morte, o presente ou o futuro. Vocês têm tudo,
23 But you are Christ’s and Christ is God’s.
e vocês pertencem a Cristo, e Cristo pertence a Deus.
