Psalms 1

1 Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand on the path of people who sin ·intentionally miss the mark goal·, nor sit in the seat of scoffers;

خوشا به حال کسی که در راه بدکاران قدم نمی‌زند و در راه گناهکاران نمی‌ایستد و با کسانی که خدا را مسخره می‌کنند نمی‌نشیند،

2 but his delight is in Adonai’s Torah ·Teaching·. On his torot ·teachings· he meditates day and night.

بلکه مشتاقانه از دستورهای خداوند پیروی می‌کند و شب و روز در آنها تفکر می‌نماید.

3 He will be like a tree planted by the streams of water, that produces its fruit in its season, whose leaf also does not wither. Whatever he does shall prosper.

او همچون درختی است که در کنار نهرهای آب کاشته شده و به موقع میوه می‌دهد و برگهایش هرگز پژمرده نمی‌شوند؛ کارهای او همیشه ثمربخش‌اند.

4 The wicked are not so, but are like the chaff which the wind drives away.

اما بدکاران چنین نیستند. آنها مانند کاهی هستند که در برابر باد پراکنده می‌شود.

5 Therefore the wicked shall not stand in the judgment, nor people who sin ·intentionally miss the mark goal· in the congregation of the upright.

آنها در برابر مسند داوری خدا محکوم خواهند شد و به جماعت خداشناسان راه نخواهند یافت.

6 For Adonai knows the way of the upright, but the way of the wicked shall perish.

درستکاران توسط خداوند محافظت و هدایت می‌شوند، اما بدکاران به سوی نابودی پیش می‌روند.
