< Psalms 98 >
1 Sing to Adonai a new song, for he has done marvelous things! His right hand, and his holy arm, have worked salvation for him.
Psalmus David. Cantate Domino canticum novum: quia mirabilia fecit. Salvavit sibi dextera eius: et brachium sanctum eius.
2 Adonai has made known his yishu'ah ·salvation·. He has openly shown his righteousness in the sight of the nations.
Notum fecit Dominus salutare suum: in conspectu gentium revelavit iustitiam suam.
3 He has remembered his chesed ·loving-kindness· and his faithfulness toward the house of Israel [God prevails]. All the ends of the earth have seen the yishu'ah ·salvation· of our God.
Recordatus est misericordiae suae, et veritatis suae domui Israel. Viderunt omnes termini terrae salutare Dei nostri.
4 Make a joyful noise to Adonai, all the earth! Burst out and sing for joy, yes, sing zahmar ·musical praise·!
Iubilate Deo omnis terra: cantate, et exultate, et psallite.
5 Sing zahmar ·musical praise· to Adonai with the harp, with the harp and the voice of melody.
Psallite Domino in cithara, in cithara et voce psalmi:
6 With trumpets and sound of the shofar ·ram horn·, make a joyful noise before the King, Adonai.
in tubis ductilibus, et voce tubae corneae. Iubilate in conspectu regis Domini:
7 Let the sea roar with its fullness; the world, and those who dwell therein.
moveatur mare, et plenitudo eius: orbis terrarum, et qui habitant in eo.
8 Let the rivers clap their hands. Let the mountains sing for joy together.
Flumina plaudent manu, simul montes exultabunt
9 Let them sing before Adonai, for he comes to judge the earth. He will judge the world with righteousness, and the peoples with equity.
a conspectu Domini: quoniam venit iudicare terram. Iudicabit orbem terrarum in iustitia, et populos in aequitate.
