1 Sing to Adonai a new song! Sing to Adonai, all the earth.
Syng HERREN en ny sang, syng for Herren, al jorden,
2 Sing to Adonai! Bless his name! Proclaim his yishu'ah ·salvation· from day to day!
syng for HERREN og lov hans Navn, fortæl om hans Frelse Dag efter Dag,
3 Declare his kavod ·weighty glory· among the nations, his marvelous works among all the peoples.
kundgør hans Ære blandt Folkene, hans Undere blandt alle Folkeslag!
4 For great is Adonai, and greatly to be praised! He is to be feared above all deities.
Thi stor og højlovet er HERREN, forfærdelig over alle Guder;
5 For all the deities of the peoples are idols, but Adonai made the heavens.
thi alle Folkeslagenes Guder er Afguder, HERREN er Himlens Skaber.
6 Honor and majesty are before him. Strength and beauty are in his sanctuary.
For hans Åsyn er Højhed og Hæder, Lov og Pris i hans Helligdom.
7 Ascribe to Adonai, you families of nations, ascribe to Adonai kavod ·weighty glory· and strength.
Giv HERREN, I Folkeslags Slægter, giv HERREN Ære og Pris,
8 Ascribe to Adonai the kavod ·weighty glory· due to his name. Bring an offering, and come into his courts.
giv HERREN hans Navns Ære, bring Gaver og kom til hans Forgårde,
9 Hawa ·Bow low, prostrate· to worship Adonai in holy array. Tremble before him, all the earth.
tilbed HERREN i helligt Skrud, bæv for hans Åsyn, al Jorden!
10 Say among the nations, “Adonai reigns.” The world is also established. It can’t be moved. He will judge the peoples with equity.
Sig blandt Folkeslag: "HERREN har vist, han er Konge, han grundfæsted Jorden, den rokkes ikke, med Retfærd dømmer han Folkene."
11 Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice. Let the sea roar, and its fullness!
Himlen glæde sig, Jorden juble, Havet med dets Fylde bruse,
12 Let the field and all that is in it exult! Then all the trees of the woods shall sing for joy
Marken juble og alt, hvad den bærer! Da fryder sig alle Skovens Træer
13 before Adonai; for he comes, for he comes to judge the earth. He will judge the world with righteousness, the peoples with his truth.
for HERRENs Åsyn, thi han kommer, han kommer at dømme Jorden; han dømmer Jorden med Retfærd og Folkene i sin Trofasthed.
