Psalms 85

1 Adonai, you have been favorable to your land. You have restored the fortunes of Jacob [Supplanter].

Kumutungamiri wokuimba waVanakomana vaKora. Pisarema. Makanzwira nyasha nyika yenyu, imi Jehovha; makadzosera Jakobho nhaka yake.

2 You have forgiven the depravity (moral evil) of your people. You have covered all their habitual sin ·missing the mark·. (Selah) ·contemplation with musical interlude·.

Makakanganwira kutadza kwavanhu venyu, uye mukafukidza zvivi zvavo zvose. Sera

3 You have taken away all your wrath. You have turned from the fierceness of your anger.

Makaisa parutivi hasha dzenyu dzose, mukadzoka pakutsamwa kwenyu kunotyisa.

4 Turn us, God of our yesha' ·salvation·, and cause your indignation toward us to cease.

Tidzoreizve, imi Mwari Muponesi wedu, mugoisa kure nemi kusafara kwenyu pamusoro pedu.

5 Will you be angry with us forever? Will you draw out your anger to all generations?

Mucharamba makatitsamwira nokusingaperi here? Mucharega kutsamwa kwenyu kuripo kusvikira kuzvizvarwa zvose here?

6 Won’t you revive us again, that your people may rejoice in you?

Ko, hamungatimutsiridzizve here, kuti vanhu venyu vagofara mamuri?

7 Show us your chesed ·loving-kindness·, Adonai. Grant us your yesha' ·salvation·.

Tiratidzei ngoni dzenyu, imi Jehovha, mugotipawo ruponeso rwenyu.

8 I will sh'ma ·hear obey· what God, Adonai, will speak, for he will speak peace to his people, his saints; but let them not turn again to folly.

Ndichateerera zvichataurwa naJehovha Mwari; anovimbisa rugare kuvanhu vake, vatsvene vake, asi ngavasadzokerazve kuupenzi.

9 Surely his yesha' ·salvation· is near those who fear him, that kavod ·weighty glory· may dwell in our land.

Chokwadi, ruponeso rwake rwuri pedyo navanomutya, kuti kubwinya kwake kugogara munyika yedu.

10 Mercy and truth meet together. Righteousness and peace have kissed each other.

Rudo nokutendeka zvinosangana pamwe chete; kururama norugare zvinosvetana.

11 Truth springs out of the earth. Righteousness has looked down from heaven.

Kutendeka kunomera panyika, kururama kunotarira pasi kuri kudenga.

12 Yes, Adonai will give that which is good. Our land will yield its increase.

Chokwadi, Jehovha achapa zvinhu zvakanaka, uye nyika yedu ichabereka mukoho wayo.

13 Righteousness goes before him, And prepares the way for his steps.

Kururama kuchamutungamirira, uye kuchamugadzirira nzira yetsoka dzake.
