< Psalms 18 >

1 I will racham ·compassionately love, mercifully love· you, Adonai, my strength.
Ya Mukulu wa Bayimbi. Zabbuli ya Dawudi gye yayimbira Mukama bwe yamuwonya abalabe be ne Sawulo. Nkwagala Ayi Mukama kubanga ggwe maanyi gange.
2 Adonai is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge; my shield, and the horn of my yesha' ·salvation·, my high tower.
Mukama lwe lwazi lwange, ky’ekigo kyange ekigumu era ye mununuzi wange, ye Katonda wange era lwe lwazi lwange mwe neekweka; ye ngabo yange era ye mulokozi wange ow’amaanyi, era kye kigo kyange ekinywevu.
3 I call on Adonai, who is worthy to be praised; and I am saved from my enemies.
Nkoowoola Mukama asaana okutenderezebwa, era amponya eri abalabe bange.
4 The cords of death surrounded me. The floods of ungodliness made me afraid.
Emiguwa gy’okufa gyanneetooloola; embuyaga ez’okusaanawo zansaanikira.
5 The cords of Sheol ·Place of the dead· were around me. The snares of death came on me. (Sheol h7585)
Ebisiba eby’amagombe byanneetooloola; n’emitego gy’okufa ne ginjolekera. (Sheol h7585)
6 In my distress I called on Adonai, and cried to my God. He sh'ma ·heard obeyed· my voice out of his temple. My cry before him came into his ears.
Mu nnaku yange nakoowoola Mukama; ne nkaabirira Katonda wange annyambe. Yawulira eddoboozi lyange ng’ali mu yeekaalu ye; omulanga gwange ne gutuuka mu matu ge.
7 Then the earth shook and trembled. The foundations also of the mountains quaked and were shaken, because he was angry.
Emisingi gy’ensi ne gikankana ne giyuuguuma; ensozi ne zinyeenyezebwa ne ziseeseetuka, kubanga yali asunguwadde.
8 Smoke went out of his nostrils. Consuming fire came out of his mouth. Coals were kindled by it.
Omukka ne gunyooka nga guva mu nnyindo ze. Omuliro ne guva mu kamwa ke, ne gukoleeza amanda ne gabuubuuka.
9 He bowed the heavens also, and came down. Thick darkness was under his feet.
Yayabuluza eggulu n’akka wansi; ebire ebikutte nga biri wansi w’ebigere bye.
10 He rode on a cherub, and flew. Yes, he soared on the wings of the wind.
Yeebagala kerubi n’abuuka, n’aseeyeeyeza ku biwaawaatiro by’empewo.
11 He made darkness his hiding place, his pavilion around him, darkness of waters, thick clouds of the skies.
Yafuula ekizikiza ekyamwetooloolanga okuba enkuufiira ey’ebire ebijjudde amazzi.
12 At the brightness before him his thick clouds passed, hailstones and coals of fire.
Okumasamasa okwali mu maaso ge ne kuva mu bire bye, n’okumyansa kw’eggulu n’omuzira.
13 Adonai also thundered in the sky. The Most High uttered his voice: hailstones and coals of fire.
Mukama yabwatuka ng’asinziira mu ggulu; oyo Ali Waggulu Ennyo yayogera; mu kamwa ke ne muvaamu omuzira n’okumyansa kw’eggulu.
14 He sent out his arrows, and scattered them; Yes, great lightning bolts, and routed them.
Yalasa obusaale bwe n’asaasaanya abalabe; n’okumyansa okw’eggulu n’abawangula.
15 Then the channels of waters appeared. The foundations of the world were laid bare at your rebuke, Adonai, at the blast of the breath of your nostrils.
Ebiwonvu eby’omu nnyanja ne bibikkulwa n’emisingi gy’ensi ne gyeyerula olw’okunenya kwo Ayi Mukama n’olw’okubwatuka kw’omukka ogw’omu nnyindo zo.
16 He sent from on high. He took me. He drew me out of many waters.
Mukama yagolola omukono gwe ng’ali waggulu, n’ankwata n’annyinyulula mu mazzi amangi.
17 He delivered me from my strong enemy, from those who hated me; for they were too mighty for me.
Yamponya abalabe bange ab’amaanyi, abankyawa, abo abaali bansinza amaanyi.
18 They came on me in the day of my calamity, but Adonai was my support.
Bannumba nga ndi mu buzibu, naye Mukama n’annyamba.
19 He brought me out also into a large place. He delivered me, because he delighted in me.
N’antwala mu kifo ekigazi n’amponya, kubanga yansanyukira nnyo.
20 Adonai has rewarded me according to my righteousness. According to the cleanness of my hands has he recompensed me.
Mukama ankoledde ng’obutuukirivu bwange bwe buli, ansasudde ng’ebikolwa byange ebirungi bwe biri.
21 For I have kept the ways of Adonai, and have not been condemned as guilty before my God.
Kubanga ntambulidde mu makubo ga Mukama, ne sikola kibi eri Katonda wange.
22 For all his judgments were before me. I didn’t put away his regulations from me.
Ddala ddala amateeka ga Mukama gonna ngagondedde, era ne siva ku biragiro bye.
23 I was also blameless with him. I kept myself from my depravity (moral evil).
Sisobyanga mu maaso ge era nneekuuma obutayonoona.
24 Therefore Adonai has rewarded me according to my righteousness, according to the cleanness of my hands in his eyesight.
Noolwekyo, Mukama ansasudde ng’obutuukirivu bwange bwe buli, era ng’ebikolwa byange ebirungi bwe biri by’alaba.
25 With the merciful you will show yourself merciful. With the perfect man, you will show yourself perfect.
Eri omwesigwa weeraga ng’oli mwesigwa, n’eri atalina musango weeraga nga tolina musango.
26 With the pure, you will show yourself pure. With the crooked you will show yourself shrewd.
Eri abalongoofu weeraga ng’oli mulongoofu, n’eri abakyamu weeraga ng’obasinza amagezi.
27 For you will save the afflicted people, but the haughty eyes you will bring down.
Owonya abawombeefu, naye abeegulumiza obakkakkanya.
28 For you will light my lamp, Adonai. My God will light up my darkness.
Okoleezezza ettaala yange; Ayi Mukama Katonda wange, ekizikiza kyange okimulisizza.
29 For by you, I advance through a troop. By my God, I leap over a wall.
Bwe mbeera naawe nsobola okulumba abalabe bange; nga ndi ne Katonda wange nsobola okuwalampa bbugwe.
30 As for God, his way is perfect. Adonai’s word is tried. He is a shield to all those who take refuge in him.
Katonda byonna by’akola bigolokofu; Mukama ky’asuubiza akituukiriza; era bwe buddukiro bw’abo bonna abamwekwekamu.
31 For who is God, except Adonai? Who is a rock, besides our God,
Kale, ani Katonda, wabula Mukama? Era ani Lwazi, wabula Katonda waffe?
32 the God who arms me with strength, and makes my way perfect?
Oyo ye Katonda ampa amaanyi era aluŋŋamya ekkubo lyange.
33 He makes my feet like deer’s feet, and sets me on my high places.
Ebigere byange abinyweza ng’eby’empeewo, n’ansobozesa okuyimirira ku ntikko z’ensozi.
34 He teaches my hands to war, so that my arms bend a bow of bronze.
Anjigiriza okulwana entalo, ne nsobola n’okuleega omutego ogw’obusaale ogw’ekikomo.
35 You have also given me the shield of your yesha' ·salvation·. Your right hand sustains me. Your gentleness has made me great.
Ompadde obulokozi bwo okuba engabo yange; era ompaniridde n’omukono gwo ogwa ddyo; weetoowazizza n’ongulumiza.
36 You have enlarged my steps under me, My feet have not slipped.
Ongaziyirizza ekkubo ebigere byange we biyita, obukongovvule bwange ne butanuuka.
37 I will pursue my enemies, and overtake them. Neither will I turn again until they are consumed.
Nagoba abalabe bange embiro, ne mbakwata ne sidda mabega okutuusa nga mbazikirizza.
38 I will strike them through, so that they will not be able to rise. They shall fall under my feet.
Nababetenta ne batasobola na kugolokoka, ne mbalinnyako ebigere byange.
39 For you have armed me with strength to the battle. You have subdued under me those who rose up against me.
Ompadde amaanyi ag’okulwana; abalabe bange ne banvuunamira.
40 You have also made my enemies turn their backs to me, that I might cut off those who hate me.
Okyusizza abalabe bange ne bankuba amabega ne badduka, ne ndyoka nsanyaawo abo bonna abankyawa.
41 They cried, but there was no one to save; even to Adonai, but he didn’t answer them.
Baalaajana naye tewaali yabawonya; ne bakaabirira Mukama, naye n’atabaddamu.
42 Then I beat them small as the dust before the wind. I cast them out as the mire of the streets.
Ne mbamerengula ng’enfuufu empewo gy’efuumuula; ne mbasammula eri ng’ebisooto by’omu luguudo.
43 You have delivered me from the strivings of the people. You have made me the head of the nations. A people whom I have not known shall serve me.
Omponyezza obulumbaganyi bw’abantu; n’onfuula omufuzi w’amawanga. Abantu be nnali simanyi ne bafuuka abaweereza bange.
44 As soon as they hear of me they shall sh'ma ·hear obey· me. The foreigners shall submit themselves to me.
Olumpulira ne baŋŋondera, bannamawanga ne bajugumira mu maaso gange.
45 The foreigners shall fade away, and shall come trembling out of their close places.
Bannamawanga baggwaamu omutima ne bava mu bigo byabwe nga bakankana.
46 Adonai lives; and blessed be my rock. Exalted be the God of my yesha' ·salvation·,
Mukama mulamu! Atenderezebwe, Olwazi lwange; era agulumizibwe Katonda w’obulokozi bwange.
47 even the God who executes vengeance for me, and subdues peoples under me.
Ye Katonda, asasula ku lwange abankola obubi era akakkanya amawanga ne ngafuga. Amponyeza abalabe bange.
48 He rescues me from my enemies. Yes, you lift me up above those who rise up against me. You deliver me from the violent man.
Ayi Mukama, ongulumizizza okusinga abalabe bange, n’onkuuma abakambwe ne batankwatako.
49 Therefore I will yadah ·extend hands in thankful praise· to you, Adonai, among the nations, and will sing zahmar ·musical praise· to your name.
Noolwekyo, Ayi Mukama, nnaakutenderezanga mu mawanga, era nnaayimbanga nga ntendereza erinnya lyo.
50 He gives great yishu'ah ·deliverance· to his king, and shows chesed ·loving-kindness· to his anointed, to David [Beloved] and to his offspring, forever more.
Awa kabaka obuwanguzi obw’amaanyi, amulaga ebyekisa emirembe gyonna oyo gwe yafukako amafuta, eri Dawudi n’eri ezzadde lye.
