< Psalms 14 >

1 The fool has said in his heart, “There is no Elohim ·Deity, Judge·.” They are corrupt. They have done abominable deeds. There is no one who does good.
Kumutungamiri wokuimba. Pisarema raDhavhidhi. Benzi rinoti mumwoyo maro, “Hakuna Mwari.” Vakaora, mabasa avo akashata; hakuna anoita zvakanaka.
2 Adonai looked down from heaven on the children of men, to see if there were any who understood, who sought after God.
Jehovha ari kudenga anotarira pasi pamusoro pavanakomana vavanhu, kuti aone kana aripo anonzwisisa, naani zvake anotsvaka Mwari.
3 All have gone aside. They have together become corrupt. There is no one who does good, no, not one.
Vose vakatsauka, vose pamwe chete vakasvibiswa; hakuna anoita zvakanaka, kunyange nomumwe.
4 Have all the workers of vain striving of iniquity no knowledge, who eat up my people as they eat bread, and don’t call on Adonai?
Ko, vaiti vezvakaipa havadzidziwo here, ivo vanodya vanhu vangu savanhu vanodya chingwa, uye vasingadani kuna Jehovha?
5 There they were in great fear, for God is in the generation of the upright.
Pavari ipapo, vakazara nokutya, nokuti Mwari ari paungano yavakarurama.
6 You frustrate the plan of the poor, because Adonai is his refuge.
Imi vaiti vezvakaipa, munokanganisa urongwa hwavarombo, asi Jehovha ndiye utiziro hwavo.
7 Oh that the yishu'ah ·salvation· of Israel [God prevails] would come out of Zion [Mountain ridge, Marking]! When Adonai restores the fortunes of his people, then Jacob [Supplanter] shall rejoice, and Israel [God prevails] shall be glad.
Haiwa, dai ruponeso rwaIsraeri rwaibuda muZioni! Kana Jehovha achidzosazve nhaka yavanhu vake, Jakobho ngaapembere uye Israeri ngaafare.
