Psalms 136
1 Hodu la-Yahweh ki'-tov ·Give thanks to Adonai for he is good·, and yadah ·extend hands in thankful praise·; ki' li-olam chas'do ·for his loving-kindness endures forever·.
Aleluja! Hvalite Jahvu jer je dobar: vječna je ljubav njegova!
2 Yadah ·Extend hands in thankful praise· to the Elohei of the elohim ·God of the deities·; for his chesed ·loving-kindness· endures forever.
Hvalite Boga nad bogovima: vječna je ljubav njegova!
3 Yadah ·Extend hands in thankful praise· to the 'Adonei of the adoneim ·the Lord of the lords·; for his faithful love endures forever:
Hvalite Gospodara nad gospodarima: vječna je ljubav njegova!
4 To him who alone does great wonders; for his steadfast love endures forever:
Jedini on učini čuda velika: vječna je ljubav njegova!
5 To him who by understanding made the heavens; for his loving kindness is everlasting:
Mudro sazda on nebesa: vječna je ljubav njegova!
6 To him who spread out the earth above the waters; for his loyal love endures forever:
On utvrdi zemlju nad vodama: vječna je ljubav njegova!
7 To him who made the great lights; for his mercies are to eternity:
On načini svjetlila velika: vječna je ljubav njegova!
8 The sun to rule by day; for his gracious love is everlasting;
Sunce da vlada danom: vječna je ljubav njegova!
9 The moon and stars to rule by night; for his mercy continues forever:
Mjesec i zvijezde da vladaju noću: vječna je ljubav njegova!
10 To him who struck down the Egyptian [person from Abode of slavery] firstborn; for his grace endures forever;
On pobi prvorođence Egiptu: vječna je ljubav njegova!
11 And brought out Israel [God prevails] from among them; for his loyal devotion endures forever;
Izvede Izraela iz njega: vječna je ljubav njegova!
12 With a strong hand, and with an outstretched arm; for his covenant ·binding contract between two or more parties· loyalty endures forever:
Mišicom jakom, rukom ispruženom: vječna je ljubav njegova!
13 To him who divided the Sea of Suf [Reed Sea] apart; ki' li-olam chas'do ·for his loving-kindness endures forever·.
On Crveno more razdvoji: vječna je ljubav njegova!
14 And made Israel [God prevails] to pass through the middle of it; for his chesed ·loving-kindness· endures forever.
Provede Izraela posred voda: vječna je ljubav njegova!
15 But overthrew Pharaoh and his army in the Sea of Suf [Reed Sea]; for his faithful love endures forever:
I vrgnu Faraona i vojsku mu u Crveno more: vječna je ljubav njegova!
16 To him who led his people through the wilderness; for his steadfast love endures forever:
On narod svoj vođaše pustinjom: vječna je ljubav njegova!
17 To him who struck great kings; for his loving kindness is everlasting:
On udari kraljeve velike: vječna je ljubav njegova!
18 And killed mighty kings; for his loyal love endures forever:
I pogubi kraljeve moćne: vječna je ljubav njegova!
19 Sihon king of the Amorites [Descendants of Talkers]; for his mercies are to eternity:
Sihona, kralja amorejskog: vječna je ljubav njegova!
20 Og king of Bashan; for his gracious love is everlasting;
Oga, kralja bašanskog: vječna je ljubav njegova!
21 And gave their land as an inheritance; for his mercy continues forever:
I njihovu zemlju dade u baštinu: vječna je ljubav njegova!
22 Even a heritage to Israel [God prevails] his servant; for his grace endures forever;
U baštinu Izraelu, sluzi svome: vječna je ljubav njegova!
23 Who remembered us in our low estate; for his loyal devotion endures forever;
On se spomenu nas u poniženju našem: vječna je ljubav njegova!
24 And has delivered us from our adversaries; for his loving kindness endures forever:
Od dušmana nas naših oslobodi: vječna je ljubav njegova!
25 Who gives food to every creature; for his chesed ·loving-kindness· endures forever.
On daje hrane svakom tijelu: vječna je ljubav njegova!
26 Oh yadah ·extend hands in thankful praise· to the God of heaven; ki' li-olam chas'do ·for his loving-kindness endures forever·.
