Psalms 130

1 Out of the depths I have cried to you, Adonai.

Ein Wallfahrtslied. Aus der Tiefe rufe ich, HERR, zu dir:

2 Lord, sh'ma ·hear obey· my voice. Let your ears be attentive to the voice of my petitions.

Herr, höre meine Stimme! Möchten deine Ohren aufmerksam sein auf die Stimme meines Flehens!

3 If you, Yah, kept a record of depravities (moral evils), Lord, who could stand?

Wenn du Sünden behältst, HERR, wer kann bestehen?

4 But there is forgiveness with you, therefore you are feared.

Aber bei dir ist die Vergebung, auf daß man dich fürchte.

5 I wait for Adonai. My soul waits. I hope in his word.

Ich harre des HERRN, meine Seele harrt, und ich hoffe auf sein Wort.

6 My soul longs for 'Adonay [Lord] more than watchmen long for the morning; more than watchmen for the morning.

Meine Seele harrt des Herrn, mehr als die Wächter auf den Morgen, als die Wächter auf den Morgen.

7 Israel [God prevails], hope in Adonai, for with Adonai there is chesed ·loving-kindness·. With him is abundant redemption.

Israel, hoffe auf den HERRN! Denn bei dem HERRN ist die Gnade, und viel Erlösung ist bei ihm.

8 He will redeem Israel [God prevails] from all their depravities (moral evils).

Und er wird Israel erlösen von allen seinen Sünden.
