Psalms 130

1 Out of the depths I have cried to you, Adonai.

Ein Stufenlied. / Aus Tiefen hab ich, Jahwe, zu dir gerufen.

2 Lord, sh'ma ·hear obey· my voice. Let your ears be attentive to the voice of my petitions.

Adonái, hör meine Stimme! / Laß doch deine Ohren merken / Auf mein lautes Flehn!

3 If you, Yah, kept a record of depravities (moral evils), Lord, who could stand?

Wenn du Sünden anrechnest, Jah, / Adonái, wer kann dann bestehn?

4 But there is forgiveness with you, therefore you are feared.

Ja, du vergibst, / Damit man dich fürchte.

5 I wait for Adonai. My soul waits. I hope in his word.

Jahwes habe ich stets geharrt; / Es hat meine Seele geharrt, / Schon immer hoffte ich auf sein Wort.

6 My soul longs for 'Adonay [Lord] more than watchmen long for the morning; more than watchmen for the morning.

Meine Seele harrt Adonáis, / Mehr, als Wächter des Morgens harren, / Ja, Wächter des Morgens.

7 Israel [God prevails], hope in Adonai, for with Adonai there is chesed ·loving-kindness·. With him is abundant redemption.

Israel, harr auf Jahwe! / Denn bei Jahwe ist die Gnade, / Und reichlich ist bei ihm Erlösung.

8 He will redeem Israel [God prevails] from all their depravities (moral evils).

Ja, er wird Israel erlösen / Von allen seinen Sünden.
