< Psalms 128 >

1 Blessed is everyone who fears Adonai, who walks in his ways.
“A psalm of the steps, or the goings up.” Happy is he who feareth the LORD, Who walketh in his ways!
2 For you will eat the labor of your hands. You will be happy, and it will be well with you.
Thou shalt eat the labor of thy hands; Happy shalt thou be, and it shall be well with thee!
3 Your wife will be as a fruitful vine, in the innermost parts of your house; your children like olive plants, around your table.
Thy wife shall be like a fruitful vine within thy house; Thy children like olive-branches round about thy table.
4 Behold, thus is the man blessed who fears Adonai.
Behold! thus happy is the man who feareth the LORD!
5 May Adonai bless you out of Zion [Mountain ridge, Marking], and may you see the good of Jerusalem [City of peace] all the days of your life.
Jehovah shall bless thee out of Zion, And thou shalt see the prosperity of Jerusalem all the days of thy life;
6 Yes, may you see your children’s children. Peace be upon Israel [God prevails].
Yea, thou shalt see thy children's children. Peace be to Israel!
