Psalms 125

1 Those who trust in Adonai are as Mount Zion [Mountain ridge, Marking], which can’t be moved, but remains forever.

Die auf Jehovah vertrauen, sind wie der Berg Zions, der nimmer wankt, der bleibt ewiglich.

2 As the mountains surround Jerusalem [City of peace], so Adonai surrounds his people from this time forward and forever more.

Jerusalem, Berge sind rings um sie her, und Jehovah ist rings um Sein Volk von nun an und bis in Ewigkeit.

3 For the scepter of ethical wickedness won’t remain over the allotment of the upright; so that the upright won’t use their hands to do evil.

Denn des Ungerechten Rute soll nicht auf dem Lose der Gerechten ruhen, damit die Gerechten ihre Hände nicht zur Verkehrtheit ausstrecken.

4 Do good, Adonai, to those who are good, to those who are upright in their hearts.

Jehovah, tue Gutes den Guten und denen, die gerade sind in ihren Herzen.

5 But as for those who turn aside to their crooked ways, Adonai will lead them away with the workers of vain striving of iniquity. Peace be on Israel [God prevails].

Die aber sich abwenden auf das Krumme, lasse Jehovah dahingehen mit denen, so Unrecht tun. Friede sei über Israel.
