Psalms 122

1 I was glad when they said to me, “Let’s go to Adonai’s house!”

Cantico di Maalot, di Davide IO mi son rallegrato di ciò che mi è stato detto: Andiamo alla Casa del Signore.

2 Our feet are standing within your gates, Jerusalem [City of peace];

O Gerusalemme, I nostri piedi son fermi nelle tue porte.

3 Jerusalem [City of peace], that is built as a city that is compact together;

Gerusalemme, che sei edificata Come una città che è ben congiunta insieme.

4 where the tribes go up, even Yah’s tribes, according to a testimony for Israel [God prevails], yadah ·extend hands in thankful praise· to Adonai’s name.

Là ove salgono le tribù, le tribù del Signore, Alla Testimonianza d'Israele, Per celebrare il Nome del Signore,

5 For there are set thrones for judgment, the thrones of David [Beloved]’s house.

Perciocchè quivi son posti i seggi per lo giudicio, I seggi della Casa di Davide.

6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem [City of peace]. Those who 'ahav ·affectionately love· you will prosper.

Richiedete la pace di Gerusalemme; [O Gerusalemme], prosperino quelli che ti amano.

7 Peace be within your walls, and prosperity within your palaces.

Pace sia nelle tue fortezze, E tranquillità ne' tuoi palazzi.

8 For my brothers’ and companions’ sakes, I will now say, “Peace be within you.”

Per amor de' miei fratelli e de' miei prossimi, Io dirò ora: Pace [sia] in te.

9 For the sake of the house of Yahweh Eloheikhem [Yahweh our God], I will seek your good.

Per amor della Casa del Signore Iddio nostro, Io procaccerò il tuo bene.
