Psalms 118
1 Yadah ·Extend hands in thankful praise· to Adonai, for he is good, for his chesed ·loving-kindness· endures forever.
Slavite Gospoda, ker dober je, ker vekomaj je milost njegova.
2 Let Israel [God prevails] now say that his chesed ·loving-kindness· endures forever.
Reci sedaj Izrael, da je vekomaj milost njegova.
3 Let the house of Aaron [Light-bringer] now say that his chesed ·loving-kindness· endures forever.
Rekó naj sedaj, kateri so iz rodovine Aronove, da je vekomaj milost njegova.
4 Now let those who fear Adonai say that his chesed ·loving-kindness· endures forever.
Rekó naj sedaj, kateri se bojé Gospoda, da je vekomaj milost njegova.
5 Out of my distress, I called on Yah. Yah answered me with freedom.
Iz stiske same sem klical Gospoda, odgovoril je in postavil me na širjavo Gospod.
6 With Adonai on my side. I will not be afraid. What can a human being do to me?
Gospod mi je na strani; ne bodem se bal, kaj bi mi storil človek?
7 Adonai is on my side among those who help me. Therefore I will look in triumph at those who hate me.
Gospod mi je na strani z mojimi pomočniki; zatorej jaz zaničujem sovražnike svoje.
8 It is better to take refuge in Adonai, than to put confidence in man.
Boljše je pribegati h Gospodu, nego zaupanje imeti v kakega človeka.
9 It is better to take refuge in Adonai, than to put confidence in princes.
Boljše je pribegati h Gospodu, nego zaupanje imeti v prvake.
10 All the nations surrounded me, but in Adonai’s name, I cut them off.
Vsi narodi so me bili obdali; ali v imenu Gospodovem sem jih uničil.
11 They surrounded me, yes, they surrounded me. In Adonai’s name I indeed cut them off.
Zopet in zopet so me bili obdali, ali v imenu Gospodovem sem jih uničil.
12 They surrounded me like bees. They are quenched like the burning thorns. In Adonai’s name I cut them off.
Obdali so me bili kakor čebele; ugasnili so kakor trnjev ogenj, ker v imenu Gospodovem sem jih uničil.
13 You pushed me back hard, to make me fall, but Adonai helped me.
Močno si me bil pahnil, da bi padel; ali Gospod mi je bil na pomoč.
14 Yah is my strength and song. He has become my yishu'ah ·salvation·.
Moč moja in pesem Gospod, on mi je bil v blaginjo.
15 The voice of rejoicing and yishu'ah ·salvation· is in the tents of the upright. “The right hand of Adonai does valiantly.
Glas petja in blaginje je v šatorih pravičnih, govoreč: Desnica Gospodova dela vrlo.
16 The right hand of Adonai is exalted! The right hand of Adonai does valiantly!”
Desnica Gospodova povzdignena, desnica Gospodova dela vrlo.
17 I will not die, but live, and declare Yah’s works.
Ne bodem umrl, ampak živel, da oznanjam dela Gospodova.
18 Yah has punished me severely, but he has not given me over to death.
Ostro me je pokoril Gospod; ali smrti ni me izdal.
19 Open to me the gates of righteousness. I will enter into them. I will yadah ·extend hands in thankful praise· to Yah.
Odprite mi vrata pravice, da vnidem skozi njé in slavim Gospoda.
20 This is the gate of Adonai; the upright will enter into it.
Ta so prava vrata do Gospoda, skozi katera vhajajo pravični.
21 I will yadah ·extend hands in thankful praise· to you, for you have answered me, and have become my yishu'ah ·salvation·.
Slavil te bodem, ker si me uslišal in bil mi v blaginjo.
22 The stone which the builders rejected has become the corner-stone.
Kamen, katerega so bili zavrgli zidarji, on je za vogelni kamen.
23 This is Adonai’s doing. It is marvelous in our eyes.
Od Gospoda je on, čudovit je v naših očéh.
24 This is the day that Adonai has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it!
Ravno ta dan je storil Gospod, radujmo in veselimo se v njem.
25 Save us now, we beg you, Adonai! Adonai, we beg you, send prosperity now.
Prosim, Gospod, reši zdaj; prosim, Gospod, dobro srečo daj zdaj.
26 Blessed is he who comes in the name of Adonai! We have blessed you out of Adonai’s house.
Slava mu, ki gre v imenu Gospodovem; blagoslavljamo vas, iz hiše Gospodove,
27 Adonai is God, and he has given us light. Bind the sacrifice with cords, even to the horns of the altar.
Boga mogočnega Gospoda, ki nas je razsvetlil. Zvezujte daritve praznične z vrvmi noter do oltarjevih rogóv.
28 You are my God, and I will yadah ·extend hands in thankful praise· to you. You are my God, I will exalt you.
Bog mogočni si moj, zato te bodem slavil, Bog moj, bodem te poviševal.
29 Oh yadah ·extend hands in thankful praise· to Adonai, for he is good, for his chesed ·loving-kindness· endures forever.
