< Psalms 118 >
1 Yadah ·Extend hands in thankful praise· to Adonai, for he is good, for his chesed ·loving-kindness· endures forever.
Mwebaze Mukama, kubanga mulungi; okwagala kwe kubeerera emirembe gyonna.
2 Let Israel [God prevails] now say that his chesed ·loving-kindness· endures forever.
Kale Isirayiri ayogere nti, “Okwagala kwa Mukama kubeerera emirembe gyonna.”
3 Let the house of Aaron [Light-bringer] now say that his chesed ·loving-kindness· endures forever.
N’ab’ennyumba ya Alooni boogere nti, “Okwagala kwe kubeerera emirembe gyonna.”
4 Now let those who fear Adonai say that his chesed ·loving-kindness· endures forever.
Abo abatya Mukama boogere nti, “Okwagala kwe kubeerera emirembe gyonna.”
5 Out of my distress, I called on Yah. Yah answered me with freedom.
Bwe nnali mu nnaku empitirivu, nakoowoola Mukama, n’annyanukula, n’agimponya.
6 With Adonai on my side. I will not be afraid. What can a human being do to me?
Mukama ali ku ludda lwange, siriiko kye ntya. Abantu bayinza kunkolako ki?
7 Adonai is on my side among those who help me. Therefore I will look in triumph at those who hate me.
Mukama ali nange, ye anyamba. Abalabe bange nnaabatunuuliranga n’amaaso ag’obuwanguzi.
8 It is better to take refuge in Adonai, than to put confidence in man.
Kirungi okwesiga Mukama okusinga okwesiga omuntu.
9 It is better to take refuge in Adonai, than to put confidence in princes.
Kirungi okuddukira eri Mukama okusinga okwesiga abalangira.
10 All the nations surrounded me, but in Adonai’s name, I cut them off.
Ensi zonna zanzinda ne zinneebungulula, naye mu linnya lya Mukama naziwangula.
11 They surrounded me, yes, they surrounded me. In Adonai’s name I indeed cut them off.
Banneebungulula enjuuyi zonna; naye mu linnya lya Mukama nabawangula.
12 They surrounded me like bees. They are quenched like the burning thorns. In Adonai’s name I cut them off.
Bankuŋŋaanirako ne banneebungulula ng’enjuki; naye ne basirikka ng’amaggwa agakutte omuliro; mu linnya lya Mukama nabawangula.
13 You pushed me back hard, to make me fall, but Adonai helped me.
Bannumba n’amaanyi mangi, ne mbulako katono okugwa; naye Mukama n’annyamba.
14 Yah is my strength and song. He has become my yishu'ah ·salvation·.
Mukama ge maanyi gange, era lwe luyimba lwange, afuuse obulokozi bwange.
15 The voice of rejoicing and yishu'ah ·salvation· is in the tents of the upright. “The right hand of Adonai does valiantly.
Muwulire ennyimba ez’essanyu ez’obuwanguzi, nga ziyimbirwa mu weema z’abatuukirivu nti, “Omukono gwa Mukama ogwa ddyo gutukoledde ebikulu!
16 The right hand of Adonai is exalted! The right hand of Adonai does valiantly!”
Omukono gwa Mukama ogwa ddyo gugulumizibbwa; omukono gwa Mukama ogwa ddyo gutukoledde ebikulu!”
17 I will not die, but live, and declare Yah’s works.
Sijja kufa, wabula nzija kuba mulamu, ndyoke ntegeeze ebyo byonna Mukama by’akoze.
18 Yah has punished me severely, but he has not given me over to death.
Mukama ambonerezza nnyo, naye tandese kufa.
19 Open to me the gates of righteousness. I will enter into them. I will yadah ·extend hands in thankful praise· to Yah.
Munzigulirewo emiryango egy’obutuukirivu, nnyingire, neebaze Mukama.
20 This is the gate of Adonai; the upright will enter into it.
Guno gwe mulyango omunene ogwa Mukama, abatuukirivu mmwe banaayingiriranga.
21 I will yadah ·extend hands in thankful praise· to you, for you have answered me, and have become my yishu'ah ·salvation·.
Nkwebaza kubanga onnyanukudde n’ofuuka obulokozi bwange.
22 The stone which the builders rejected has become the corner-stone.
Ejjinja abazimbi lye baagaana lye lifuuse ejjinja ekkulu ery’oku nsonda.
23 This is Adonai’s doing. It is marvelous in our eyes.
Kino Mukama ye yakikola; era ffe tukiraba nga kya kitalo mu maaso gaffe.
24 This is the day that Adonai has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it!
Luno lwe lunaku Mukama lw’akoze; tusanyuke tulujagulizeeko.
25 Save us now, we beg you, Adonai! Adonai, we beg you, send prosperity now.
Ayi Mukama tukwegayiridde, tulokole, Ayi Mukama tukwegayiridde otuwe obuwanguzi.
26 Blessed is he who comes in the name of Adonai! We have blessed you out of Adonai’s house.
Alina omukisa oyo ajja mu linnya lya Mukama. Tubasabidde omukisa nga tuli mu nnyumba ya Mukama.
27 Adonai is God, and he has given us light. Bind the sacrifice with cords, even to the horns of the altar.
Mukama ye Katonda, y’atwakiza omusana. Mukumbire wamu nga mukutte amatabi mu ngalo zammwe n’ekiweebwayo kyammwe kituukire ddala ku mayembe g’ekyoto.
28 You are my God, and I will yadah ·extend hands in thankful praise· to you. You are my God, I will exalt you.
Ggwe Katonda wange, nnaakwebazanga; ggwe Katonda wange, nange nnaakugulumizanga.
29 Oh yadah ·extend hands in thankful praise· to Adonai, for he is good, for his chesed ·loving-kindness· endures forever.
Mwebaze Mukama kubanga mulungi, n’okwagala kwe kubeerera emirembe gyonna.
