< Psalms 106 >
1 Praise Adonai! Yadah ·Extend hands in thankful praise· to Adonai, for he is good, for his chesed ·loving-kindness· endures forever.
Hvalite Gospoda.
2 Who can utter the mighty acts of Adonai, or sh'ma ·hear obey, fully declare· all his praise?
Kdo lahko izreče mogočna Gospodova dela? Kdo lahko naznanja vso njegovo hvalo?
3 Blessed are those who keep mishpat ·justice·. Blessed is one who does what is right at all times.
4 Remember me, Adonai, with the favor that you show to your people. Visit me with your yishu'ah ·salvation·,
Oh obišči me s svojo rešitvijo duše,
5 that I may see the prosperity of your chosen, that I may rejoice in the gladness of your nation, that I may glory with your inheritance.
6 We have sinned ·deviated (from the standard goal)· with our fathers. We have committed iniquity. We have been condemned as guilty.
Grešili smo s svojimi očeti, zagrešili smo krivičnost, ravnali smo zlobno.
7 Our fathers didn’t understand your wonders in Egypt [Abode of slavery]. They didn’t remember the multitude of your chesed ·loving-kindnesses·, but were rebellious at the sea, even at the Sea of Suf [Reed Sea].
8 Nevertheless he saved them for his name’s sake, that he might make his mighty power known.
9 He rebuked the Sea of Suf [Reed Sea] also, and it was dried up; so he led them through the depths, as through a desert.
10 He saved them from the hand of him who hated them, and redeemed them from the hand of the enemy.
11 The waters covered their adversaries. There was not one of them left.
Vode so pokrile njihove sovražnike; niti eden izmed njih ni preostal.
12 Then they trusted his words. They sang his tehilah ·praise song·.
Potem so verjeli njegovim besedam; peli so njegovo hvalo.
13 They soon forgot his works. They didn’t wait for his counsel,
Kmalu so pozabili njegova dela, niso čakali na njegov nasvet,
14 but gave in to craving in the desert, and tested God in the wasteland.
temveč so silno hrepeneli v divjini in skušali Boga v puščavi.
15 He gave them their request, but sent leanness into their soul.
Dal jim je njihovo zahtevo, toda poslal je pustost v njihove duše.
16 They envied Moses [Drawn out] also in the camp, and Aaron [Light-bringer], Adonai’s saint.
Zavidali so tudi Mojzesu v taboru in Aronu, Gospodovemu svetemu.
17 The earth opened and swallowed up Dathan, and covered the company of Abiram.
Zemlja se je odprla in požrla Datána in pokrila Abirámovo druščino.
18 A fire was kindled in their company. The flame burned up the wicked.
19 They made a calf in Horeb [Desert], and hawa ·bowed low, prostrated· worshiped a molten image.
Naredili so tele na Horebu in oboževali ulito podobo.
20 Thus they exchanged their kavod ·weighty glory· for an image of a bull that eats grass.
21 They forgot God, their source of salvation, who had done great things in Egypt [Abode of slavery],
22 Wondrous works in the land of Ham [Hot, Intensity, Passion], and awesome things by the Sea of Suf [Reed Sea].
čudovita dela v Hamovi deželi in strašne stvari pri Rdečem morju.
23 Therefore he said that he would destroy them, had Moses [Drawn out], his chosen, not stood before him in the breach, to turn away his wrath, so that he would not destroy them.
24 Yes, they despised the pleasant land. They didn’t trust his word,
Da, prezirali so prijetno deželo, niso verovali njegovi besedi,
25 but murmured in their tents, and didn’t sh'ma ·hear obey· Adonai’s voice.
temveč so godrnjali v svojih šotorih in niso prisluhnili Gospodovemu glasu.
26 Therefore he swore to them that he would overthrow them in the wilderness,
27 that he would overthrow their offspring among the nations, and scatter them in the lands.
28 They joined themselves also to Baal Peor, and ate the sacrifices of the dead.
29 Thus they provoked him to anger with their deeds. The plague broke in on them.
30 Then Pinchas [Bronze skin] stood up, and executed judgment, so the plague was stopped.
31 That was credited to him for righteousness, for all generations to come.
32 They angered him also at the waters of Meribah [Quarreling], so that Moses [Drawn out] was troubled for their sakes;
33 because they were rebellious against his spirit, he spoke rashly with his lips.
34 They didn’t destroy the peoples, as Adonai ordered them to do,
Niso pokončali narodov, glede katerih jim je Gospod zapovedal,
35 but mixed themselves with the nations, and learned their works.
temveč so bili pomešani med pogane in se naučili njihovih del.
36 They abad ·served· their idols, which became a snare to them.
Služili so svojim malikom, ki so bili zanje past.
37 Yes, they sacrificed their sons and their daughters to demons.
Da, svoje sinove in svoje hčere so žrtvovali hudičem
38 They shed innocent blood, even the blood of their sons and of their daughters, whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan [Humbled]. The land was polluted with blood.
39 Thus were they defiled with their works, and prostituted themselves in their deeds.
40 Therefore Adonai burned with anger against his people. He abhorred his inheritance.
41 He gave them into the hand of the nations. Those who hated them ruled over them.
42 Their enemies also oppressed them. They were brought into subjection under their hand.
Tudi njihovi sovražniki so jih zatirali in privedeni so bili v podjarmljenje, pod njihovo roko.
43 Many times he delivered them, but they were rebellious in their counsel, and were brought low in their depravity (moral evil).
Mnogokrat jih je osvobodil, toda dražili so ga s svojo namero in bili so ponižani zaradi svoje krivičnosti.
44 Nevertheless he regarded their distress, when he sh'ma ·heard obeyed· their cry.
45 He remembered for them his covenant, and relented according to the multitude of his chesed ·loving-kindnesses·.
in zanje se je spomnil svoje zaveze in se pokesal glede na množico svojih usmiljenj.
46 He made them also to be shown rachamim ·compassionate loves· by all those who carried them captive.
47 Save us, Adonai, our God, gather us from among the nations, yadah ·extend hands in thankful praise· to your holy name, to triumph in your tehilah ·praise song·!
Reši nas, oh Gospod, naš Bog in zberi nas izmed poganov, da se zahvaljujemo tvojemu svetemu imenu in da zmagujemo v tvojem hvaljenju.
48 Blessed be Adonai, the God of Israel [God prevails], from everlasting even to everlasting! Let all the people say, “Amen ·So be it·.” Halleluyah ·praise Yah·!
Blagoslovljen bodi Gospod, Izraelov Bog, od večnosti do večnosti in vse ljudstvo naj reče: »Amen. Hvalite Gospoda.«
