< Proverbs 31 +
1 The words of king Lemuel; the revelation which his mother taught him.
Àwọn ọ̀rọ̀-ìjìnlẹ̀ ti Lemueli ọba, ọ̀rọ̀ ẹ̀kọ́ tí ìyá rẹ̀ kọ́ ọ,
2 “Oh, my son! Oh, son of my womb! Oh, son of my vows!
“Gbọ́ ìwọ ọmọ mi, gbọ́ ìwọ ọmọ inú mi! Gbọ́ ìwọ ọmọ ẹ̀jẹ́ mi.
3 Don’t give your strength to women, nor your ways to that which destroys kings.
Má ṣe lo agbára rẹ lórí obìnrin, okun rẹ lórí àwọn tí ó pa àwọn ọba run.
4 It is not for kings, Lemuel; it is not for kings to drink wine; nor for princes to say, ‘Where is strong drink?’
“Kì í ṣe fún àwọn ọba, ìwọ Lemueli, kì í ṣe fún ọba láti mu ọtí wáìnì, kì í ṣe fún alákòóso láti máa wá ọtí líle,
5 lest they drink, and forget the law, and pervert the justice due to anyone who is afflicted.
kí wọn má ba à mu ọtí yó kí wọn sì gbàgbé ohun tí òfin wí, kí wọn sì fi ẹ̀tọ́ àwọn tí ara ń ni dù wọ́n.
6 Give strong drink to him who is ready to perish; and wine to the bitter in soul:
Fi ọtí líle fún àwọn tí ń ṣègbé wáìnì fún àwọn tí ó wà nínú ìrora.
7 Let him drink, and forget his poverty, and remember his misery no more.
Jẹ́ kí wọn mu ọtí kí wọn sì gbàgbé òsì wọn kí wọn má sì rántí òsì wọn mọ́.
8 Open your mouth for the mute, in the cause of all who are left desolate.
“Sọ̀rọ̀ lórúkọ àwọn tí kò le sọ̀rọ̀ fúnra wọn fún ẹ̀tọ́ àwọn ẹni tí ń parun.
9 Open your mouth, judge righteously, and serve justice to the poor and needy.”
Sọ̀rọ̀ kí o sì ṣe ìdájọ́ àìṣègbè jà fún ẹ̀tọ́ àwọn tálákà àti aláìní.”
10 א (Woman-virtous) Who can find a worthy woman? For her price is far above rubies.
Ta ni ó le rí aya oníwà rere? Ó níye lórí ju iyùn lọ.
11 בּ (Trusts) Her husband trusts in her from his heart, and she will prove a great asset to him.
Ọkọ rẹ̀ ní ìgbẹ́kẹ̀lé púpọ̀ nínú rẹ̀ kò sì ṣí ìwà rere tí kò pé lọ́wọ́ rẹ̀.
12 גּ (Does) She does him good, and not harm, all the days of her life.
Ire ní ó ń ṣe fún un, kì í ṣe ibi ní gbogbo ọjọ́ ayé rẹ̀.
13 דּ (Seeks) She seeks wool and flax, and works eagerly with her hands.
Ó sa aṣọ irun àgùntàn olówùú àti ọ̀gbọ̀ Ó sì ṣiṣẹ́ pẹ̀lú ìyárí.
14 ה (She) She is like the merchant ships. She brings her bread from afar.
Ó dàbí ọkọ̀ ojú omi tí àwọn oníṣòwò; ó ń gbé oúnjẹ rẹ̀ wá láti ọ̀nà jíjìn.
15 ו (Rises) She rises also while it is yet night, gives food to her household, and chokim ·portions· for her servant girls.
Ó dìde nígbà tí òkùnkùn sì kùn; ó ṣe oúnjẹ fún ìdílé rẹ̀ àti ìpín oúnjẹ fún àwọn ìránṣẹ́bìnrin rẹ̀.
16 ז (Considers) She considers a field, and buys it. With the fruit of her hands, she plants a vineyard.
Ó kíyèsi oko kan, ó sì rà á; nínú ohun tí ó ń wọlé fún un ó gbin ọgbà àjàrà rẹ̀.
17 ח (Grids) She arms her waist with strength, and makes her arms strong.
Ó bẹ̀rẹ̀ iṣẹ́ rẹ̀ tagbára tagbára apá rẹ̀ le koko fún iṣẹ́.
18 ט (Perceives) She perceives that her merchandise is profitable. Her lamp does not go out by night.
Ó rí i pé òwò òun pé fìtílà rẹ̀ kì í sì í kú ní òru.
19 י (Hands) She lays her hands to the distaff, and her hands hold the spindle.
Ní ọwọ́ rẹ̀, ó di kẹ̀kẹ́ òwú mú ó sì na ọwọ́ rẹ̀ di ìrànwú mú.
20 כּ (Hands) She opens her arms to the poor; yes, she extends her hands to the needy.
O la ọwọ́ rẹ̀ sí àwọn tálákà ó sì na ọwọ́ rẹ̀ sí àwọn aláìní.
21 ל (Not-afraid) She is not afraid of the snow for her household; for all her household are clothed with scarlet.
Nígbà tí òjò-dídì rọ̀, kò bẹ̀rù nítorí ìdílé rẹ̀ nítorí gbogbo wọn ni ó wọ aṣọ tí ó nípọn.
22 מ (Coverings) She makes for herself carpets of tapestry. Her clothing is fine linen and purple.
Ó ṣe aṣọ títẹ́ fún ibùsùn rẹ̀; ẹ̀wù dáradára àti elése àlùkò ni aṣọ rẹ̀.
23 נ (Known) Her husband is respected in the gates, when he sits among the elders of the land.
A bọ̀wọ̀ fún ọkọ rẹ̀ ní ẹnu ibodè ìlú níbi tí ó ń jókòó láàrín àwọn àgbàgbà ìlú.
24 ס (Linnen) She makes linen garments and sells them, and delivers sashes to the merchant.
Ó ń ṣe àwọn aṣọ dáradára ó sì ń tà wọ́n ó sì ń kó ọjà fún àwọn oníṣòwò.
25 ע (Strength) Strength and dignity are her clothing. She laughs at the time to come.
Agbára àti ọlá ni ó wò ọ́ láṣọ ó le fi ọjọ́ iwájú rẹ́rìn-ín.
26 פּ (Mouth) She opens her mouth with wisdom. Instructions of chesed ·loving-kindness· is on her tongue.
A sọ̀rọ̀ pẹ̀lú ọgbọ́n ìkọ́ni òtítọ́ sì ń bẹ létè e rẹ̀
27 צ (Looks) She looks well to the ways of her household, and does not eat the bread of idleness.
Ó ń bojútó gbogbo ètò ilé rẹ̀ kì í sì í jẹ oúnjẹ ìmẹ́lẹ́.
28 ק (Rise up) Her children rise up and call her blessed. Her husband too, as he praises her:
Àwọn ọmọ rẹ̀ dìde wọ́n sì pè é ní alábùkún ọkọ rẹ̀ pẹ̀lú ń gbóríyìn fún un.
29 ר (Many) “Many women have done noble things, but you excel them all.”
“Ọ̀pọ̀lọpọ̀ obìnrin ní ń ṣe nǹkan ọlọ́lá ṣùgbọ́n ìwọ ju gbogbo wọn lọ.”
30 שׁ (Deceitful) Chen ·Charm, Grace· is deceitful, and beauty is vain; but a woman who fears Adonai, she shall be praised.
Ojú dáradára a máa tan ni, ẹwà sì jẹ́ asán nítorí obìnrin tí ó bẹ̀rù Olúwa yẹ kí ó gba oríyìn.
31 תּ (Give) Give her of the fruit of her hands! Let her works speak her praise at the city gates!
Sì fún un ní èrè tí ó tọ́ sí i kí o sì jẹ́ kí iṣẹ́ rẹ̀ fún un ní ìyìn ní ẹnu ibodè ìlú.
