Numbers 20
1 The children of Israel [God prevails], even the whole congregation, came into the wilderness of Zin in the first month Nissan ·Miracles (in Aramaic), 1·. The people stayed in Kadesh. Miriam [Rebellion] died there, and was buried there.
௧இஸ்ரவேல் மக்களின் சபையார் எல்லோரும் முதலாம் மாதத்தில் சீன்வனாந்திரத்திலே சேர்ந்து, மக்கள் காதேசிலே தங்கியிருக்கும்போது, மிரியாம் மரணமடைந்து, அங்கே அடக்கம்செய்யப்பட்டாள்.
2 There was no water for the congregation; and they assembled themselves together against Moses [Drawn out] and against Aaron [Light-bringer].
௨மக்களுக்குத் தண்ணீர் இல்லாமல் இருந்தது; அப்பொழுது அவர்கள் மோசேக்கும் ஆரோனுக்கும் விரோதமாகக் கூட்டம்கூடினார்கள்.
3 The people quarreled with Moses [Drawn out], and spoke, saying, “We wish that we had died when our brothers died before Adonai!
௩மக்கள் மோசேயோடு வாக்குவாதம்செய்து: “எங்களுடைய சகோதரர்கள் யெகோவாவுடைய சந்நிதியில் இறந்தபோது நாங்களும் இறந்துபோயிருந்தால் நலமாக இருக்கும்.
4 Why have you brought Adonai’s assembly into this wilderness, that we should die there, we and our animals?
௪நாங்களும் எங்களுடைய மிருகங்களும் இங்கே இறக்கும்படி, நீங்கள் யெகோவாவின் சபையை இந்த வனாந்திரத்திலே கொண்டு வந்தது என்ன;
5 Why have you made us to come up out of Egypt [Abode of slavery], to bring us in to this evil place? It is no place of seed, or of figs, or of vines, or of pomegranates; neither is there any water to drink.”
௫விதைப்பும், அத்திமரமும், திராட்சைச்செடியும், மாதுளஞ்செடியும், குடிக்கத்தண்ணீரும் இல்லாத இந்தக் கெட்ட இடத்தில் எங்களைக் கொண்டுவரும்படி, நீங்கள் எங்களை எகிப்திலிருந்து புறப்படச்செய்தது ஏன்” என்றார்கள்.
6 Moses [Drawn out] and Aaron [Light-bringer] went from the presence of the assembly to the door of the Tent of Meeting, and fell on their faces. The kavod Yahweh ·weighty glory of He sustains breathing· appeared to them.
௬அப்பொழுது மோசேயும் ஆரோனும் சபையாரைவிட்டு, ஆசரிப்புக்கூடாரத்தின் வாசலில் போய், முகங்குப்புற விழுந்தார்கள்; யெகோவாவுடைய மகிமை அவர்களுக்குக் காணப்பட்டது.
7 Adonai spoke to Moses [Drawn out], saying,
௭யெகோவா மோசேயை நோக்கி:
8 “Take the rod, and assemble the congregation, you, and Aaron [Light-bringer] your brother, and speak to the rock before their eyes, that it pour out its water. You shall bring water to them out of the rock; so you shall give the congregation and their livestock drink.”
௮“நீ கோலை எடுத்துக்கொண்டு, நீயும் உன்னுடைய சகோதரனாகிய ஆரோனும் சபையாரைக் கூடிவரச்செய்து, அவர்கள் கண்களுக்குமுன்னே கன்மலையைப் பார்த்துப் பேசுங்கள்; அப்பொழுது அது தன்னிடத்திலுள்ள தண்ணீரைக் கொடுக்கும்; இப்படி நீ அவர்களுக்குக் கன்மலையிலிருந்து தண்ணீர் புறப்படச்செய்து, சபையாருக்கும் அவர்களுடைய மிருகங்களுக்கும் குடிக்கக் கொடுப்பாய்” என்றார்.
9 Moses [Drawn out] took the rod from before Adonai, as he enjoined him.
௯அப்பொழுது மோசே தனக்குக் யெகோவா கட்டளையிட்டபடியே யெகோவாவுடைய சந்நிதியிலிருந்த கோலை எடுத்தான்.
10 Moses [Drawn out] and Aaron [Light-bringer] gathered the assembly together before the rock, and he said to them, “Sh'ma ·Hear obey· now, you rebels! Shall we bring water out of this rock for you?”
௧0மோசேயும் ஆரோனும் சபையாரைக் கன்மலைக்கு முன்பாகக் கூடிவரச்செய்தார்கள்; அப்பொழுது மோசே அவர்களை நோக்கி: “கலகக்காரரே, கேளுங்கள், உங்களுக்கு இந்தக் கன்மலையிலிருந்து நாங்கள் தண்ணீர் புறப்படச்செய்வோமோ” என்று சொல்லி,
11 Moses [Drawn out] lifted up his hand, and struck the rock with his rod twice, and water came out abundantly. The congregation and their livestock drank.
௧௧தன்னுடைய கையை ஓங்கி, கன்மலையைத் தன்னுடைய கோலினால் இரண்டுமுறை அடித்தான்; உடனே தண்ணீர் ஏராளமாகப் புறப்பட்டது, சபையார் குடித்தார்கள்; அவர்கள் மிருகங்களும் குடித்தது.
12 Adonai said to Moses [Drawn out] and Aaron [Light-bringer], “Because you didn’t trust in me, to sanctify me in the eyes of the children of Israel [God prevails], therefore you shall not bring this assembly into the land which I have given them.”
௧௨பின்பு யெகோவா மோசேயையும் ஆரோனையும் நோக்கி: “இஸ்ரவேல் மக்கள் கண்களுக்கு முன்பாக என்னைப் பரிசுத்தம்செய்யும்படி, நீங்கள் என்னை விசுவாசிக்காமல் போனதால், இந்தச் சபையாருக்கு நான் கொடுத்த தேசத்திற்குள் நீங்கள் அவர்களைக் கொண்டுபோவதில்லை” என்றார்.
13 These are the waters of Meribah [Quarreling]; because the children of Israel [God prevails] strove with Yahweh M’Kaddesh [Yahweh our Santifier / He sustains breathing who makes you holy] who was set apart by them.
௧௩இங்கே இஸ்ரவேல் மக்கள் யேகோவாவோடு வாக்குவாதம் செய்ததினாலும், அவர்களுக்குள்ளே அவருடைய பரிசுத்தம் விளங்கினதினாலும் இது மேரிபாவின் தண்ணீர் என்னப்பட்டது.
14 Moses [Drawn out] sent messengers from Kadesh to the king of Edom [Red], saying: “Thus says your brother Israel [God prevails]: You know all the travail that has happened to us;
௧௪பின்பு மோசே காதேசிலிருந்து ஏதோமின் ராஜாவினிடத்திற்கு தூதுவர்களை அனுப்பி:
15 how our fathers went down into Egypt [Abode of slavery], and we lived in Egypt [Abode of slavery] a long time. The Egyptians [people from Abode of slavery] mistreated us and our fathers.
௧௫எங்களுடைய முற்பிதாக்கள் எகிப்திற்குப் போனதும், நாங்கள் எகிப்திலே நெடுநாட்கள் வாசம்செய்ததும், எகிப்தியர்கள் எங்களையும் எங்களுடைய பிதாக்களையும் உபத்திரவப்படுத்தினதும், இவைகளினால் எங்களுக்கு நேரிட்ட எல்லா வருத்தமும் உமக்குத் தெரிந்திருக்கிறது.
16 When we cried to Adonai, he sh'ma ·heard obeyed· our voice, sent an angel, and brought us out of Egypt [Abode of slavery]. Behold, we are in Kadesh, a city in the edge of your border.
௧௬யெகோவாவை நோக்கி நாங்கள் மன்றாடினோம்; அவர் எங்களுக்குச் செவிகொடுத்து, ஒரு தூதனை அனுப்பி, எங்களை எகிப்திலிருந்து புறப்படச்செய்தார்; இப்பொழுது நாங்கள் உமது எல்லைக்கு உட்பட்ட காதேஸ் ஊரில் வந்திருக்கிறோம்.
17 “Please let us pass through your land. We will not pass through field or through vineyard, neither will we drink from the water of the wells. We will go along the king’s highway. We will not turn aside to the right hand nor to the left, until we have passed your border.”
௧௭நாங்கள் உமது தேசத்தின் வழியாகக் கடந்துபோகும்படி அனுமதி கொடுக்கவேண்டும்; வயல்வெளிகள் வழியாகவும், திராட்சைத்தோட்டங்கள் வழியாகவும் நாங்கள் போகாமலும், கிணறுகளின் தண்ணீரைக் குடிக்காமலும், ராஜபாதையாகவே நடந்து, உமது எல்லையைக் கடந்துபோகும்வரை, வலதுபுறம் இடதுபுறம் சாயாமல் இருப்போம் என்று, உமது சகோதரனாகிய இஸ்ரவேல் சொல்லி அனுப்புகிறான்” என்று சொல்லச்சொன்னான்.
18 Edom [Red] said to him, “You shall not pass through me, lest I come out with the sword against you.”
௧௮அதற்கு ஏதோம்: “நீ என்னுடைய தேசத்தின் வழியாகக் கடந்துபோக முடியாது; போனால் பட்டயத்தோடு உன்னை எதிர்க்கப் புறப்படுவேன் என்று அவனுக்குச் சொல்லச்சொன்னான்.
19 The children of Israel [God prevails] said to him, “We will go up by the highway; and if we drink your water, I and my livestock, then I will give its price. Only let me, without doing anything else, pass through on my feet.”
௧௯அப்பொழுது இஸ்ரவேல் மக்கள் அவனை நோக்கி: “நடப்பான பாதையின் வழியாகப் போவோம்; நாங்களும் எங்களுடைய மிருகங்களும் உன்னுடைய தண்ணீரைக் குடித்தால், அதற்குக் தகுந்த விலைகொடுப்போம்; வேறொன்றும் செய்யாமல், கால்நடையாக மட்டும் கடந்துபோவோம்” என்றார்கள்.
20 He said, “You shall not pass through.” Edom [Red] came out against him with many people, and with a strong hand.
௨0அதற்கு அவன்: “நீ கடந்துபோக முடியாது” என்று சொல்லி, கணக்கற்ற மக்களோடும் பலத்த கரங்களோடும், படையோடும் அவர்களை எதிர்க்கப் புறப்பட்டான்.
21 Thus Edom [Red] refused to give Israel [God prevails] passage through his border, so Israel [God prevails] turned away from him.
௨௧இப்படி ஏதோம் தன்னுடைய எல்லைவழியாகக் கடந்துபோகும்படி இஸ்ரவேலர்களுக்கு அனுமதி கொடுக்கவில்லை; ஆகையால் இஸ்ரவேலர்கள் அவனை விட்டு விலகிப் போனார்கள்.
22 They traveled from Kadesh: and the children of Israel [God prevails], even the whole congregation, came to Mount Hor.
௨௨இஸ்ரவேல் மக்களான சபையார் எல்லோரும் காதேசை விட்டுப் பயணப்பட்டு, ஓர் என்னும் மலைக்குப் போனார்கள்.
23 Adonai spoke to Moses [Drawn out] and Aaron [Light-bringer] in Mount Hor, by the border of the land of Edom [Red], saying,
௨௩ஏதோம் தேசத்தின் எல்லைக்கு அருகான ஓர் என்னும் மலையிலே யெகோவா மோசேயையும் ஆரோனையும் நோக்கி:
24 “Aaron [Light-bringer] shall be gathered to his people; for he shall not enter into the land which I have given to the children of Israel [God prevails], because you rebelled against my word at the waters of Meribah [Quarreling].
௨௪“ஆரோன் தன்னுடைய மக்களோடு சேர்க்கப்படுவான். மேரிபாவின் தண்ணீரைப்பற்றிய காரியத்தில் நீங்கள் என்னுடைய வாக்குக்குக் கீழ்ப்படியாமல் போனபடியால், நான் இஸ்ரவேல் மக்களுக்குக் கொடுக்கிற தேசத்தில் அவன் நுழைவதில்லை.
25 Take Aaron [Light-bringer] and Eleazar [Help of God] his son, and bring them up to Mount Hor;
௨௫நீ ஆரோனையும் அவனுடைய மகனாகிய எலெயாசாரையும் கூட்டிக்கொண்டு, அவர்களை ஓர் என்னும் மலையில் ஏறச்செய்து,
26 and strip Aaron [Light-bringer] of his garments, and put them on Eleazar [Help of God] his son. Aaron [Light-bringer] shall be taken, and shall die there.”
௨௬ஆரோன் உடுத்தியிருக்கிற ஆடைகளைக் கழற்றி, அவைகளை அவனுடைய மகனாகிய எலெயாசாருக்கு உடுத்து; ஆரோன் அங்கே மரித்து, தன்னுடைய மக்களோடு சேர்க்கப்படுவான்” என்றார்.
27 Moses [Drawn out] did as Adonai enjoined. They went up into Mount Hor in the sight of all the congregation.
௨௭யெகோவா கட்டளையிட்டபடியே மோசே செய்தான்; சபையார் எல்லோரும் பார்க்க, அவர்கள் ஓர் என்னும் மலையில் ஏறினார்கள்.
28 Moses [Drawn out] stripped Aaron [Light-bringer] of his garments, and put them on Eleazar [Help of God] his son. Aaron [Light-bringer] died there on the top of the mountain, and Moses [Drawn out] and Eleazar [Help of God] came down from the mountain.
௨௮அங்கே ஆரோன் உடுத்தியிருந்த ஆடைகளை மோசே கழற்றி, அவைகளை அவனுடைய மகனாகிய எலெயாசாருக்கு உடுத்தினான்; அப்பொழுது ஆரோன் அங்கே மலையின் உச்சியிலே இறந்தான்; பின்பு மோசேயும் எலெயாசாரும் மலையிலிருந்து இறங்கினார்கள்.
29 When all the congregation saw that Aaron [Light-bringer] was dead, they wept for Aaron [Light-bringer] thirty days, even all the house of Israel [God prevails].
௨௯ஆரோன் இறந்துபோனான் என்பதைச் சபையார் எல்லோரும் கண்டபோது, இஸ்ரவேல் வம்சத்தார் எல்லோரும் ஆரோனுக்காக 30 நாட்கள் துக்கம்கொண்டாடினார்கள்.
