Matthew 9
1 He entered into a boat, and crossed over, and came into his own city.
Και εμβάς εις το πλοίον, διεπέρασε και ήλθεν εις την εαυτού πόλιν.
2 Behold, they brought to him a man who was paralyzed, lying on a bed. Yeshua [Salvation], seeing their trusting faith, said to the paralytic, “Son, cheer up! Your abstract sins ·miss the marks· are forgiven you.”
Και ιδού, έφερον προς αυτόν παραλυτικόν κείμενον επί κλίνης· και ιδών ο Ιησούς την πίστιν αυτών, είπε προς τον παραλυτικόν· Θάρρει, τέκνον· συγκεχωρημέναι είναι εις σε αι αμαρτίαι σου.
3 Behold, some of the Torah-Teachers said to themselves, “This man blasphemes.”
Και ιδού, τινές εκ των γραμματέων είπον καθ' εαυτούς· Ούτος βλασφημεί.
4 Yeshua [Salvation], knowing their thoughts, said, “Why do you think evil in your hearts?
Και ιδών ο Ιησούς τους διαλογισμούς αυτών, είπε· Διά τι σεις διαλογίζεσθε πονηρά εν ταις καρδίαις σας;
5 For which is easier, to say, ‘Your abstract sins ·miss the marks· are forgiven;’ or to say, ‘Get up, and walk?’
Διότι τι είναι ευκολώτερον, να είπω, Συγκεχωρημέναι είναι αι αμαρτίαι σου, ή να είπω, Εγέρθητι και περιπάτει;
6 But that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive abstract sins ·miss the marks·,” (then he said to the paralytic), “Get up, and take up your mat, and go to your house.”
Αλλά διά να γνωρίσητε ότι εξουσίαν έχει ο Υιός του ανθρώπου επί της γης να συγχωρή αμαρτίας, τότε λέγει προς τον παραλυτικόν· Εγερθείς σήκωσον την κλίνην σου και ύπαγε εις τον οίκόν σου.
7 He arose and departed to his house.
Και εγερθείς ανεχώρησεν εις τον οίκον αυτού.
8 But when the multitudes saw it, they marveled and glorified God, who had given such authority to men.
Ιδόντες δε οι όχλοι, εθαύμασαν και εδόξασαν τον Θεόν, όστις έδωκε τοιαύτην εξουσίαν εις τους ανθρώπους.
9 As Yeshua [Salvation] passed by from there, he saw a man called Matthew [Gift of Yah] sitting at the tax collection office. He said to him, “Follow me.” He got up and followed him.
Και διαβαίνων ο Ιησούς εκείθεν είδεν άνθρωπον καθήμενον εις το τελώνιον, Ματθαίον λεγόμενον, και λέγει προς αυτόν· Ακολούθει μοι. Και σηκωθείς ηκολούθησεν αυτόν.
10 As he sat in the house, behold, many tax collectors and sinners ·devoted to missing the mark and without share in the goal· came and sat down with Yeshua [Salvation] and his disciples.
Και ενώ εκάθητο εις την τράπεζαν εν τη οικία, ιδού, πολλοί τελώναι και αμαρτωλοί ελθόντες συνεκάθηντο μετά του Ιησού και των μαθητών αυτού.
11 When the Pharisees [Separated] saw it, they said to his disciples, “Why does your Rabbi ·Teacher· eat with tax collectors and sinners ·devoted to missing the mark and without share in the goal·?”
Και ιδόντες οι Φαρισαίοι είπον προς τους μαθητάς αυτού· Διά τι ο Διδάσκαλός σας τρώγει μετά των τελωνών και αμαρτωλών;
12 When Yeshua [Salvation] heard it, he said to them, “Those who are healthy have no need for a physician, but those who are sick do.
Ο δε Ιησούς ακούσας είπε προς αυτούς· Δεν έχουσι χρείαν ιατρού οι υγιαίνοντες, αλλ' οι πάσχοντες.
13 But you go and learn what this means: ‘I desire eleos ·merciful compassion in action·, not sacrifice,’ for I came not to call the upright, but sinners devoted to sin ·miss the marks and be without share in the goal (and stained by definite crime vice)· to teshuvah ·complete repentance·.”
Υπάγετε δε και μάθετε τι είναι, Έλεον θέλω και ουχί θυσίαν. Διότι δεν ήλθον διά να καλέσω δικαίους αλλά αμαρτωλούς εις μετάνοιαν.
14 Then John [Yah is gracious]’s disciples came to him, saying, “Why do we and the Pharisees [Separated] fast often, but your disciples don’t fast?”
Τότε έρχονται προς αυτόν οι μαθηταί του Ιωάννου, λέγοντες· Διά τι ημείς και οι Φαρισαίοι νηστεύομεν πολλά, οι δε μαθηταί σου δεν νηστεύουσι;
15 Yeshua [Salvation] said to them, “Can the friends of the bridegroom mourn, as long as the bridegroom is with them? But the days will come when the bridegroom will be taken away from them, and then they will fast.
Και είπε προς αυτούς ο Ιησούς· Μήπως δύνανται οι υιοί του νυμφώνος να πενθώσιν, ενόσω είναι μετ' αυτών ο νυμφίος; θέλουσιν όμως ελθεί ημέραι, όταν αφαιρεθή απ' αυτών ο νυμφίος, και τότε θέλουσι νηστεύσει.
16 No one puts a piece of unshrunk cloth on an old garment; for the patch would tear away from the garment, and a worse hole is made.
Και ουδείς βάλλει επίρραμμα αγνάφου πανίου επί ιμάτιον παλαιόν· διότι αφαιρεί το αναπλήρωμα αυτού από του ιματίου, και γίνεται σχίσμα χειρότερον.
17 Neither do people put new wine into old wine skins, or else the skins would burst, and the wine be spilled, and the skins ruined. No, they put new wine into fresh wine skins, and both are preserved.”
Ουδέ βάλλουσιν οίνον νέον εις ασκούς παλαιούς· ει δε μη, σχίζονται οι ασκοί, και ο οίνος εκχέεται και οι ασκοί φθείρονται· αλλά βάλλουσιν οίνον νέον εις ασκούς νέους, και αμφότερα διατηρούνται.
18 While he told these things to them, behold, a ruler came and worshiped him, saying, “My daughter has just died, but come and lay your hand on her, and she will live.”
Ενώ αυτός ελάλει ταύτα προς αυτούς, ιδού, άρχων τις ελθών προσεκύνει αυτόν, λέγων ότι η θυγάτηρ μου ετελεύτησε προ ολίγου· αλλά ελθέ και βάλε την χείρα σου επ' αυτήν και θέλει ζήσει.
19 Yeshua [Salvation] got up and followed him, as did his disciples.
Και σηκωθείς ο Ιησούς ηκολούθησεν αυτόν και οι μαθηταί αυτού.
20 Behold, a woman who had an issue of blood for twelve years came behind him, and touched the tzitzit ·fringes· on his outer garment;
Και ιδού, γυνή αιμορροούσα δώδεκα έτη, πλησιάσασα όπισθεν ήγγισε το άκρον του ιματίου αυτού·
21 for she said within herself, “If I just touch his garment, I will be made well.”
διότι έλεγε καθ' εαυτήν, Εάν μόνον εγγίσω το ιμάτιον αυτού, θέλω σωθή.
22 But Yeshua [Salvation], turning around and seeing her, said, “Daughter, cheer up! Your trusting faith has made you well.” And the woman was made well from that hour.
Ο δε Ιησούς επιστραφείς και ιδών αυτήν είπε· Θάρρει, θύγατερ· η πίστις σου σε έσωσε. Και εσώθη η γυνή από της ώρας εκείνης.
23 When Yeshua [Salvation] came into the ruler’s house, and saw the flute players, and the crowd in noisy disorder,
Και ελθών ο Ιησούς εις την οικίαν του άρχοντος και ιδών τους αυλητάς και τον όχλον θορυβούμενον,
24 he said to them, “Make room, because the girl is not dead, but sleeping.” They were ridiculing him.
λέγει προς αυτούς· Αναχωρείτε· διότι δεν απέθανε το κοράσιον, αλλά κοιμάται. Και κατεγέλων αυτόν.
25 But when the crowd was put out, he entered in, took her by the hand, and the girl arose.
Ότε δε εξεβλήθη ο όχλος, εισελθών επίασε την χείρα αυτής, και εσηκώθη το κοράσιον.
26 The report of this went out into all that land.
Και διεδόθη η φήμη αύτη εις όλην την γην εκείνην.
27 As Yeshua [Salvation] passed by from there, two blind men followed him, calling out and saying, “Have mercy on us, son of David [Beloved]!”
Και ενώ ανεχώρει εκείθεν ο Ιησούς, ηκολούθησαν αυτόν δύο τυφλοί, κράζοντες και λέγοντες· Ελέησον ημάς, υιέ του Δαβίδ.
28 When he had come into the house, the blind men came to him. Yeshua [Salvation] said to them, “Do you trust that I am able to do this?” They told him, “Yes, Lord.”
Και ότε εισήλθεν εις την οικίαν, επλησίασαν εις αυτόν οι τυφλοί, και λέγει προς αυτούς ο Ιησούς· Πιστεύετε ότι δύναμαι να κάμω τούτο; Λέγουσι προς αυτόν· Ναι, Κύριε.
29 Then he touched their eyes, saying, “According to your trusting faith be it done to you.”
Τότε ήγγισε τους οφθαλμούς αυτών, λέγων· Κατά την πίστιν σας ας γείνη εις εσάς.
30 Their eyes were opened. Yeshua [Salvation] strictly commanded them, saying, “See that no one knows about this.”
Και ηνοίχθησαν αυτών οι οφθαλμοί· προσέταξε δε αυτούς εντόνως ο Ιησούς, λέγων· Προσέχετε, ας μη εξεύρη τούτο μηδείς.
31 But they went out and spread abroad his fame in all that land.
Αλλ' εκείνοι εξελθόντες διεφήμισαν αυτόν εν όλη τη γη εκείνη.
32 As they went out, behold, a mute man who was demon possessed was brought to him.
Ενώ δε αυτοί εξήρχοντο, ιδού, έφεραν προς αυτόν άνθρωπον κωφόν δαιμονιζόμενον·
33 When the demon was cast out, the mute man spoke. The multitudes marveled, saying, “Nothing like this has ever been seen in Israel [God prevails]!”
και αφού εξεβλήθη το δαιμόνιον, ελάλησεν ο κωφός, και εθαύμασαν οι όχλοι, λέγοντες ότι ποτέ δεν εφάνη τοιούτον εν τω Ισραήλ.
34 But the Pharisees [Separated] said, “By the prince of the demons, he casts out demons.”
Οι δε Φαρισαίοι έλεγον· Διά του άρχοντος των δαιμονίων εκβάλλει τα δαιμόνια.
35 Yeshua [Salvation] went about all the cities and the villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the Good News of the Kingdom, and healing every disease and every sickness among the people.
Και περιήρχετο ο Ιησούς τας πόλεις πάσας και τας κώμας, διδάσκων εν ταις συναγωγαίς αυτών και κηρύττων το ευαγγέλιον της βασιλείας και θεραπεύων πάσαν νόσον και πάσαν ασθένειαν εν τω λαώ.
36 But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion for them, because they were harassed and scattered, like sheep without a shepherd.
Ιδών δε τους όχλους, εσπλαγχνίσθη δι' αυτούς, διότι ήσαν εκλελυμένοι και εσκορπισμένοι ως πρόβατα μη έχοντα ποιμένα.
37 Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest indeed is plentiful, but the laborers are few.
Τότε λέγει προς τους μαθητάς αυτού· Ο μεν θερισμός πολύς, οι δε εργάται ολίγοι·
38 Pray therefore that the Lord of the harvest will send out laborers into his harvest.”
παρακαλέσατε λοιπόν τον κύριον του θερισμού, διά να αποστείλη εργάτας εις τον θερισμόν αυτού.
