Matthew 26
1 When Yeshua [Salvation] had finished all these words, he said to his disciples,
Jésus ayant achevé tous ces discours, dit à ses disciples:
2 “You know that the Pesac ·Passover· is two days away (Nissan 12), and the Son of Man will be delivered up to be nailed to the execution-stake.”
" Vous savez que la Pâque a lieu dans deux jours, et que le Fils de l'homme va être livré pour être crucifié. "
3 Then the chief priests, the Torah-Teachers, and the elders of the people were gathered together in the court of the high priest, who was called Caiaphas [Rock that hollows itself out].
Alors les Princes des prêtres et les Anciens du peuple se réunirent dans la cour du grand-prêtre, appelé Caïphe,
4 They took counsel together that they might take Yeshua [Salvation] by deceit, and kill him.
et ils délibérèrent sur les moyens de s'emparer de Jésus par ruse et de le faire mourir.
5 But they said, “Not during the festival of Passover, lest a riot occur among the people.”
" Mais, disaient-ils, il ne faut pas que ce soit pendant la fête, de peur qu'il ne s'élève quelque tumulte parmi le peuple. "
6 Now when Yeshua [Salvation] was in Bethany [House of affliction], in the house of Simeon [Hearing] the leper,

7 a woman came to him having an alabaster jar of very expensive ointment, and she poured it on his head as he sat at the table.

8 But when his disciples saw this, they were indignant, saying, “Why this waste?

9 For this ointment might have been sold for much, and given to the poor.”

10 However, knowing this, Yeshua [Salvation] said to them, “Why do you trouble the woman? Because she has done a good work for me.
Jésus, s'en étant aperçu, leur dit: " Pourquoi faites-vous de la peine à cette femme? C'est une bonne action qu'elle a faite à mon égard.
11 For you always have the poor with you; but you don’t always have me.
Car vous avez toujours les pauvres avec vous; mais moi, vous ne m'avez pas toujours.
12 For in pouring this ointment on my body, she did it to prepare me for burial.
En répandant ce parfum sur mon corps, elle l'a fait pour ma sépulture.
13 Most certainly I tell you, wherever this Good News is preached in the whole world, what this woman has done will also be spoken of as a memorial of her.”
Je vous le dis, en vérité, partout où sera prêché cet évangile, dans le monde entier, ce qu'elle a fait sera raconté en mémoire d'elle. "
14 Then one of the twelve, who was called Judas Iscariot [Praised Dagger-man], went to the chief priests,

15 and said, “What are you willing to give me, that I should deliver him to you?” They weighed out for him thirty pieces of silver.

16 From that time he sought opportunity to betray him.
Depuis ce moment, il cherchait une occasion favorable pour livrer Jésus.
17 Now on the first of Matzah ·Unleavened bread· (Nissan 14), the disciples came to Yeshua [Salvation], saying to him, “Where do you want us to prepare your Seder ·Order / Passover meal·?”
Le premier jour des Azymes, les disciples vinrent trouver Jésus, et lui dirent: " Où voulez-vous que nous préparions le repas pascal? "
18 He said, “Go into the city to a certain person, and tell him, ‘The Teacher says, “My time is at hand. I will keep the Pesac ·Passover· at your house with my disciples.”’”
Jésus leur répondit: " Allez à la ville chez un tel, et dites-lui: Le Maître te fait dire: Mon temps est proche, je ferai chez toi la Pâque avec mes disciples. "
19 The disciples did as Yeshua [Salvation] commanded them, and they prepared the Seder ·Order / Passover meal·.
Les disciples firent ce que Jésus leur avait commandé, et ils préparèrent la Pâque.
20 Now when evening had come, he was reclining at the table with the twelve disciples.
Le soir étant venu, il se mit à table avec les Douze.
21 As they were eating, he said, “Most certainly I tell you that one of you will betray me.”
Pendant qu'ils mangeaient, il dit: " Je vous le dis en vérité, l'un de vous me trahira. "
22 They were exceedingly sorrowful, and each began to ask him, “It is not me, is it, Lord?”

23 He answered, “He who dipped his matzah ·unleavened bread· with me in the dish (of bitter herbs), the same will betray me.

24 The Son of Man will die just as it is written of him, but woe to that man through whom the Son of Man is betrayed! It would be better for that man if he had not been born.”
Le Fils de l'homme s'en va selon ce qui est écrit de lui; mais malheur à l'homme par qui le Fils de l'homme est trahi! Mieux vaudrait pour lui que cet homme-là ne fût pas né. "
25 Judas [Praised], who betrayed him, answered, “It is not me, is it, Rabbi ·Teacher·?” He said to him, “You said it.”
Judas, qui le trahissait, prit la parole et dit: " Est-ce moi, Maître? " — " Tu l'as dit, " répondit Jésus.
26 As they were eating, Yeshua [Salvation] took matzah ·unleavened bread·, gave thanks for it, and broke it. He gave to the disciples, and said, “Take, eat; this is my body.”
Pendant le repas, Jésus prit le pain; et, ayant prononcé une bénédiction, il le rompit et le donna à ses disciples, en disant: " Prenez et mangez, ceci est mon corps. "
27 He took the (third) cup, gave thanks, and gave to them, saying, “All of you drink it,
Il prit ensuite la coupe, et, ayant rendu grâces, il la leur donna en disant: " Buvez-en tous:
28 for this is my blood of the new covenant ·binding contract between two or more parties·, which is poured out for many for the remission of sins.
car ceci est mon sang, le sang de la nouvelle l'alliance, répandu pour la multitude en rémission des péchés.
29 But I tell you that I will not drink of this fruit of the vine from now on, until that day when I drink it anew with you in 'Avi ·my Father·’s Kingdom.”
Je vous le dis, je ne boirai plus désormais de ce fruit de la vigne, jusqu'au jour où je le boirai nouveau avec vous dans le royaume de mon Père. "
30 When they had sung the Hallel Psalms, they went out to the Mount of Olives.
Après le chant de l'hymne, ils s'en allèrent au mont des Oliviers.
31 Then Yeshua [Salvation] said to them, “All of you will be made to stumble because of me tonight, for it is written, ‘I will strike the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock will be scattered.’
Alors Jésus leur dit: " Je vous serai à tous, cette nuit, une occasion de chute; car il est écrit: Je frapperai le pasteur, et les brebis du troupeau seront dispersées.
32 But after I am raised up, I will go before you into Galilee [District, Circuit].”
Mais après que je serai ressuscité, je vous précéderai en Galilée. "
33 But Peter [Rock] answered him, “Even if all will be made to stumble because of you, I will never be made to stumble.”

34 Yeshua [Salvation] said to him, “Most certainly I tell you that tonight, before the rooster crows, you will deny me three times.”

35 Peter [Rock] said to him, “Even if I must die with you, I will not deny you.” All of the disciples also said likewise.
Pierre lui répondit: " Quand il me faudrait mourir avec vous, je ne vous renierai pas. " Et tous les autres disciples dirent de même.
36 Then Yeshua [Salvation] came with them to a place called Gethsemane [Olive oil press], and said to his disciples, “Sit here, while I go there and pray.”
Alors Jésus arriva avec eux dans un domaine appelé Gethsémani, et il dit à ses disciples: " Asseyez-vous ici, pendant que je m'éloignerai pour prier. "
37 He took with him Peter [Rock] and the two sons of Zebedee [Bestowed by Yah], and began to be sorrowful and severely troubled.
Ayant pris avec lui Pierre et les deux fils de Zébédée, il commença à éprouver de la tristesse et de l'angoisse.
38 Then he said to them, “My soul is exceedingly sorrowful, even to death. Stay here, and watch with me.”
Et il leur dit: " Mon âme est triste jusqu'à la mort; demeurez ici et veillez avec moi. "
39 He went forward a little, fell on his face, and prayed, saying, “'Avi ·my Father·, if it is possible, let this cup pass away from me; nevertheless, not what I desire, but what you desire.”
Et s'étant un peu avancé, il se prosterna la face contre terre, priant et disant: " Mon Père, s'il est possible, que ce calice passe loin de moi! Cependant, non pas comme je veux, mais comme vous voulez. "
40 He came to the disciples, and found them sleeping, and said to Peter [Rock], “What, couldn’t you watch with me for one hour?
Il vint ensuite à ses disciples, et, les trouvant endormis, il dit à Pierre: " Ainsi, vous n'avez pu veiller une heure avec moi!
41 Watch and pray, that you don’t enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.”
Veillez et priez, afin que vous n'entriez point en tentation; l'esprit est prompt, mais la chair est faible. "
42 Again, a second time he went away, and prayed, saying, “'Avi ·my Father·, if this cup can’t pass away from me unless I drink it, your desire be done.”
Il s'éloigna une seconde fois et pria ainsi: " Mon Père, si ce calice ne peut passer sans que je le boive, que votre volonté soit faite! "
43 He came again and found them sleeping, for their eyes were heavy.
Étant venu de nouveau, il les trouva encore endormis, car leurs yeux étaient appesantis.
44 He left them again, went away, and prayed a third time, saying the same words.
Il les laissa, et s'en alla encore prier pour la troisième fois, disant les mêmes paroles.
45 Then he came to his disciples, and said to them, “Sleep on now, and take your rest. Behold, the hour is at hand, and the Son of Man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.
Puis il revint à ses disciples et leur dit: " Dormez maintenant et reposez-vous; voici que l'heure est proche, où le Fils de l'homme va être livré aux mains des pécheurs. —
46 Arise, let’s be going. Behold, he who betrays me is at hand.”
Levez-vous, allons, celui qui me trahit est près d'ici. "
47 While he was still speaking, behold, Judas [Praised], one of the twelve, came, and with him a great multitude with swords and clubs, from the chief priests and elders of the people.
Il parlait encore, lorsque Judas, l'un des Douze, arriva, et avec lui une troupe nombreuse de gens armés d'épées et de bâtons, envoyée par les Princes des prêtres et les Anciens du peuple.
48 Now he who betrayed him gave them a sign, saying, “Whoever I phileo ·affectionately love, kiss·, he is the one. Seize him.”
Le traître leur avait donné ce signe: " Celui que je baiserai, c'est lui, arrêtez-le. "
49 Immediately he came to Yeshua [Salvation], and said, “Shalom ·Complete peace·, Rabbi ·Teacher·!” and kissed him.
Et aussitôt, s'approchant de Jésus, il dit: " Salut, Maître ", et il le baisa.
50 Yeshua [Salvation] said to him, “Friend, why are you here?” Then they came and laid hands on Yeshua [Salvation], and took him.
Jésus lui dit: " Mon ami, pourquoi est-tu ici? " En même temps, ils s'avancèrent, mirent la main sur Jésus et le saisirent.
51 Behold, one of those who were with Yeshua [Salvation] stretched out his hand, and drew his sword, and struck the servant of the high priest, and struck off his ear.
Et voilà qu'un de ceux qui étaient avec Jésus, mettant l'épée à la main, en frappa le serviteur du grand prêtre et lui emporta l'oreille.
52 Then Yeshua [Salvation] said to him, “Put your sword back into its place, for all those who take the sword will die by the sword.
Alors Jésus lui dit: " Remets ton épée à sa place; car tous ceux qui se serviront de l'épée, périront par l'épée.
53 Or do you think that I couldn’t ask 'Avi ·my Father·, and he would even now send me more than twelve legions of angels?
Penses-tu que je ne puisse pas sur l'heure prier mon Père, qui me donnerait plus de douze légions d'anges?
54 How then would the Scriptures be fulfilled that it must be so?”
Comment donc s'accompliront les Ecritures, qui attestent qu'il en doit être ainsi? "
55 In that hour Yeshua [Salvation] said to the multitudes, “Have you come out as against a robber with swords and clubs to seize me? I sat daily in the temple teaching, and you didn’t arrest me.
En même temps, Jésus dit à la foule: " Vous êtes venus, comme à un voleur, avec des épées et des bâtons pour me prendre. J'étais tous les jours assis parmi vous, enseignant dans le temple, et vous ne m'avez pas saisi;
56 But all this has happened, that the Scriptures of the prophets might be fulfilled.” Then all the disciples left him, and fled.
mais tout cela s'est fait, afin que s'accomplissent les oracles des prophètes. " Alors tous les disciples l'abandonnèrent et prirent la fuite.
57 Those who had taken Yeshua [Salvation] led him away to Caiaphas [Rock that hollows itself out] the high priest, where the Torah-Teachers and the elders were gathered together.
Ceux qui avaient arrêté Jésus l'emmenèrent chez Caïphe, le grand prêtre, où s'étaient assemblés les Scribes et les Anciens du peuple.
58 But Peter [Rock] followed him from a distance, to the court of the high priest, and entered in and sat with the officers, to see the end.
Pierre le suivit de loin jusqu'à la cour du grand prêtre, y entra, et s'assit avec les serviteurs pour voir la fin.
59 Now the chief priests, the elders, and the whole council sought false testimony against Yeshua [Salvation], that they might put him to death;
Cependant les Princes des prêtres et tout le Conseil cherchaient quelque faux témoignage contre Jésus afin de le faire mourir;
60 and they found none. Even though many false witnesses came forward, they found none. But at last two false witnesses came forward,
et ils n'en trouvèrent point, quoique plusieurs faux témoins se fussent présentés. Enfin il en vint deux
61 and said, “This man said, ‘I am able to destroy the temple of God, and to build it in three days.’”
qui dirent: " Cet homme a dit: Je puis détruire le temple de Dieu et le rebâtir en trois jours. "
62 The high priest stood up, and said to him, “Have you no answer? What is this that these testify against you?”
Le grand prêtre, se levant, dit à Jésus: " Ne réponds-tu rien à ce que ces hommes déposent contre toi? "
63 But Yeshua [Salvation] held his peace. The high priest answered him, “I adjure you by the Elohim Chayim [Living God], that you tell us whether you are the Messiah [Anointed one], the Ben-Elohim ·Son of Elohim God·.”
Jésus gardait le silence. Et le grand prêtre lui dit: " Je t'adjure par le Dieu vivant de nous dire si tu es le Christ, le Fils de Dieu? "
64 Yeshua [Salvation] said to him, “You have said it. Nevertheless, I tell you, after this you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of Power, and coming on the clouds of the sky.”
Jésus lui répondit: " Tu l'as dit; de plus, je vous le dis, dès ce jour vous verrez le Fils de l'homme siéger à la droite du Tout-Puissant et venir sur les nuées du ciel. "
65 Then the high priest tore his, saying, “He has spoken blasphemy! Why do we need any more witnesses? Behold, now you have heard his blasphemy.
Alors le grand prêtre déchira ses vêtements, en disant: " Il a blasphémé, qu'avons-nous encore besoin de témoins? Vous venez d'entendre son blasphème:
66 What do you think?” They answered, “He is worthy of death!”
que vous en semble? " Ils répondirent: " Il mérite la mort. "
67 Then they spit in his face and beat him with their fists, and some slapped him,
Alors ils lui crachèrent au visage, et le frappèrent avec le poing; d'autres le souffletèrent,
68 saying, “Prophesy to us, you Messiah [Anointed one]! Who hit you?”
en disant: " Christ, devine qui t'a frappé. "
69 Now Peter [Rock] was sitting outside in the court, and a maid came to him, saying, “You were also with Yeshua [Salvation], the Galilean!”
Cependant Pierre était dehors, assis dans la cour. Une servante l'aborda et lui dit: " Toi aussi, tu étais avec Jésus le Galiléen. "
70 But he denied it before them all, saying, “I don’t know what you are talking about.”
Mais il le nia devant tous en disant: " Je ne sais ce que tu veux dire. "
71 When he had gone out onto the porch, someone else saw him, and said to those who were there, “This man also was with Yeshua [Salvation] of Nazareth [Branch, Separated one].”
Comme il se dirigeait vers le vestibule, pour s'en aller, une autre servante le vit et dit à ceux qui se trouvaient là: " Celui-ci était aussi avec Jésus de Nazareth. "
72 Again he denied it with an oath, “I don’t know the man.”
Et Pierre le nia une seconde fois avec serment: " Je ne connais pas cet homme. "
73 After a little while those who stood by came and said to Peter [Rock], “Surely you are also one of them, for your speech makes you known.”
Peu après, ceux qui étaient là s'approchèrent de Pierre, et lui dirent: " Certainement, tu es aussi de ces gens-là; car ton langage même te faire reconnaître. "
74 Then he began to curse and to swear, “I don’t know the man!” Immediately the rooster crowed.
Alors il se mit à faire des imprécations et à jurer qu'il ne connaissait pas cet homme. Aussitôt le coq chanta.
75 Peter [Rock] remembered the word which Yeshua [Salvation] had said to him, “Before the rooster crows, you will deny me three times.” He went out and wept bitterly.
Et Pierre se souvint de la parole que Jésus lui avait dite: " Avant que le coq chante, tu me renieras trois fois; " et étant sorti, il pleura amèrement.
