Luke 2
1 Now in those days, a decree went out from Caesar [Ruler] Augustus [Revered, Esteemed, Venerable] that all the world should be enrolled.
௧அந்த நாட்களில் ரோம அரசாட்சிக்குட்பட்ட நாடெங்கும் மக்கள்தொகை கணக்கெடுப்பு எழுதப்படவேண்டும் என்று அகஸ்துராயனால் கட்டளையிடப்பட்டது.
2 This was the first enrollment made when Quirinius was governor of Syria [Elevated].
௨சீரியா நாட்டிலே சிரேனியு என்பவன் தேசத்தின் அதிபதியாக இருந்தபோது இந்த முதலாம் கணக்கெடுப்பு எடுக்கப்பட்டது.
3 All went to enroll themselves, everyone to his own city.
௩எனவே மக்கள்தொகை கணக்கெடுப்பில் பதிவுசெய்ய எல்லோரும் தங்களுடைய சொந்த ஊர்களுக்குப் போனார்கள்.
4 Joseph [May he add] also went up from Galilee [District, Circuit], out of the city of Nazareth [Branch, Separated one], into Judea [Praise], to David [Beloved]’s city, which is called Bethlehem [House of Bread], because he was of the house and family of David [Beloved];
௪அப்பொழுது யோசேப்பு, தான் தாவீதின் வம்சத்தை சேர்ந்தவனாக இருந்தபடியால், பதிவு செய்வதற்காக, தனக்கு மனைவியாக நிச்சயிக்கப்பட்ட கர்ப்பமாக இருந்த மரியாளைக் கூட்டிக்கொண்டு,
5 to enroll himself with Mary [Rebellion], who was pledged to be married to him as wife, being pregnant.
௫கலிலேயா நாட்டிலுள்ள நாசரேத்து என்னும் ஊரில் இருந்து யூதேயா நாட்டிலுள்ள பெத்லகேம் என்னும் தாவீதின் ஊருக்குப் போனான்.
6 While they were there, the day had come for her to give birth.
௬அங்கே அவர்கள் இருக்கும்போது, மரியாளுக்குப் பிரசவநேரம் வந்தது.
7 She gave birth to her firstborn son. She wrapped him in bands of cloth, and laid him in a feeding trough, because there was no room for them in the inn.
௭அவள் தன் தலைப்பிள்ளையான ஆண் குழந்தையைப் பெற்றெடுத்து, சத்திரத்திலே அவர்களுக்கு இடம் இல்லாததினால், குழந்தையைத் துணிகளில் சுற்றி, கால்நடைத் தீவனப்பெட்டியில் படுக்கவைத்தாள்.
8 There were shepherds in the same country staying in the field, and keeping watch by night over their flock.
௮அப்பொழுது அந்த நாட்டிலே மேய்ப்பர்கள் வயல்வெளியில் தங்கி, இராத்திரியிலே அவர்களுடைய ஆட்டுமந்தையைக் காவல்காத்துக்கொண்டிருந்தார்கள்.
9 Behold, an angel of Adonai stood by them, and the shekhinah ·manifest weighty glory and presence of God· shone around them, and they were terrified.
௯அந்த நேரத்திலே கர்த்தருடைய தூதன் அவர்களிடத்தில் வந்துநின்றான், கர்த்தருடைய மகிமை அவர்களைச் சுற்றிலும் பிரகாசித்தது; அவர்கள் மிகவும் பயந்தார்கள்.
10 The angel said to them, “Don’t be afraid, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy which will be to all the people.
௧0தேவதூதன் அவர்களைப் பார்த்து: பயப்படாமலிருங்கள்; இதோ, எல்லா மக்களுக்கும் மிகவும் சந்தோஷத்தை உண்டாக்கும் நற்செய்தியை உங்களுக்கு அறிவிக்கிறேன்.
11 For there is born to you today, in David [Beloved]’s city, a Savior, who is Messiah [Anointed one] the MarYah [Master Yahweh].
௧௧இன்று கர்த்தராகிய கிறிஸ்து என்னும் இரட்சகர் உங்களுக்காக தாவீதின் ஊரிலே பிறந்திருக்கிறார்.
12 This is the sign to you: you will find a baby wrapped in strips of cloth, lying in a feeding trough.”
௧௨குழந்தையைத் துணிகளில் சுற்றி, கால்நடைத் தீவனப்பெட்டியில் படுக்கவைத்திருப்பதைப் பார்ப்பீர்கள்; இதுவே உங்களுக்கு அடையாளம் என்றான்.
13 Suddenly, there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly army praising God, and saying,
௧௩உடனே பரலோக தூதர்சேனையின் கூட்டம் தோன்றி, அந்தத் தூதனோடு சேர்ந்து:
14 “Glory to God in the highest, on earth peace, good will toward men.”
௧௪“உன்னதத்திலிருக்கிற தேவனுக்கு மகிமையும், பூமியிலே சமாதானமும், மனிதர்கள்மேல் பிரியமும் உண்டாவதாக” என்று சொல்லி, தேவனைத் துதித்தார்கள்.
15 When the angels went away from them into the sky, the shepherds said to one another, “Let’s go to Bethlehem [House of Bread], now, and see this thing that has happened, which MarYah [Master Yahweh] has made known to us.”
௧௫தேவதூதர்கள் அவர்களைவிட்டுப் பரலோகத்திற்குப் போனபின்பு, மேய்ப்பர்கள் ஒருவரையொருவர் பார்த்து: நாம் பெத்லகேம் ஊருக்குப்போய், நடந்ததாகக் கர்த்தரால் நமக்கு சொல்லப்பட்ட இந்தக் காரியத்தைப் பார்ப்போம் வாருங்கள் என்று சொல்லி,
16 They came with haste, and found both Mary [Rebellion] and Joseph [May he add], and the baby was lying in the feeding trough.
௧௬வேகமாக வந்து, மரியாளையும் யோசேப்பையும், கால்நடைத் தீவனப்பெட்டியில் வைக்கப்பட்டிருந்த குழந்தையையும் பார்த்தார்கள்.
17 When they saw it, they publicized widely the saying which was spoken to them about this child.
௧௭பார்த்து, அந்தக் குழந்தையைப்பற்றி அவர்களுக்குச் சொல்லப்பட்ட விஷயங்களை எல்லா மக்களுக்கும் சொன்னார்கள்.
18 All who heard it wondered at the things which were spoken to them by the shepherds.
௧௮மேய்ப்பராலே தங்களுக்குச் சொல்லப்பட்டதைக் கேட்ட அனைவரும் அவைகளைக்குறித்து ஆச்சரியப்பட்டார்கள்.
19 But Mary [Rebellion] kept all these sayings, pondering them in her heart.
௧௯மரியாளோ அந்தக் காரியங்களையெல்லாம் தன் இருதயத்திலே வைத்து, சிந்தனைபண்ணினாள்.
20 The shepherds teshuvah ·completely returned·, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, just as it was told them.
௨0மேய்ப்பர்களும் தங்களுக்கு தூதர்களால் சொல்லப்பட்டதையும், சொல்லப்பட்டவைகள் எல்லாம் அப்படியே நடந்ததையும் பார்த்து தேவனை மகிமைப்படுத்தி, துதித்துக்கொண்டு திரும்பிப்போனார்கள்.
21 When eight days were fulfilled for the circumcision of the child, his name was called Yeshua [Salvation], which was given by the angel before he was conceived in the womb.
௨௧குழந்தைக்கு விருத்தசேதனம்பண்ணவேண்டிய எட்டாவது நாளிலே, அது கர்ப்பத்தில் உருவாவதற்கு முன்பே தேவதூதனால் சொல்லப்பட்டபடியே, குழந்தைக்கு இயேசு என்று பெயர் வைத்தார்கள்.
22 When the time came for their purification according to the Torah ·Teaching· of Moses [Drawn out] were fulfilled, they brought him up to Jerusalem [City of peace], to present him to MarYah [Master Yahweh]
௨௨மோசேயின் நியாயப்பிரமாணத்தின்படியே அவர்களுடைய சுத்திகரிப்பு நாட்கள் முடிந்தபின்பு,
23 (as it is written in the Torah ·Teaching· of MarYah [Master Yahweh], “Every firstborn male shall be consecrated holy to MarYah [Master Yahweh]”),
௨௩முதலில் பிறக்கும் ஆண்பிள்ளை கர்த்தருக்குப் பரிசுத்தமானது என்று கர்த்தருடைய நியாயப்பிரமாணத்தில் எழுதியிருக்கிறபடி குழந்தையைக் கர்த்தருக்கென்று ஒப்புக்கொடுப்பதற்காகவும்,
24 and to offer a sacrifice according to that which is said in the Torah ·Teaching· of MarYah [Master Yahweh], “A pair of turtledoves, or two young pigeons.”
௨௪கர்த்தருடைய நியாயப்பிரமாணத்தில் சொல்லியிருக்கிறபடி, மரியாளுடைய சுத்திகரிப்புக்கென்று ஒரு ஜோடி காட்டுப்புறாக்களை அல்லது இரண்டு புறாக்குஞ்சுகளை பலியாகச் செலுத்துவதற்காகவும், குழந்தையோடு எருசலேமுக்குப் போனார்கள்.
25 Behold, there was a man in Jerusalem [City of peace] whose name was Simeon [Hearing]. This man was upright and devout, looking for the consolation of Israel [God prevails], and Ruach haKodesh [Spirit, Breath of the Holiness] was on him.
௨௫அப்பொழுது சிமியோன் என்னும் பெயர்கொண்ட ஒரு மனிதன் எருசலேமில் இருந்தான்; அவன் நீதியும் தேவபக்தியும் உள்ளவனாகவும், இஸ்ரவேல் மக்களுக்கு ஆறுதல் கொடுப்பவர் வருவார் என்று எதிர்பார்த்துக்கொண்டும் இருந்தான்; பரிசுத்த ஆவியானவர் அவனோடுகூட இருந்தார்.
26 It had been revealed to him by Ruach haKodesh [Spirit, Breath of the Holiness] that he should not see death before he had seen Adonai’s Messiah [Anointed one].
௨௬கர்த்தருடைய கிறிஸ்துவை நீ காண்பதற்கு முன்பே மரணமடையமாட்டாய் என்று பரிசுத்த ஆவியானவராலே அவனுக்கு அறிவிக்கப்பட்டும் இருந்தது.
27 Prompted by haRuach [the Spirit, Breath], he went into the temple courts; and when the parents brought in the child Yeshua [Salvation] to do for him what the Torah ·Teaching· required,
௨௭சிமியோன் பரிசுத்த ஆவியானவரின் ஏவுதலினால் தேவாலயத்திற்கு வந்தான். இயேசு என்னும் குழந்தைக்காக நியாயப்பிரமாண முறையின்படி செய்ய அவருடைய பெற்றோர் அவரை உள்ளே கொண்டுவரும்போது,
28 then he received him into his arms, and blessed God, and said,
௨௮சிமியோன் இயேசுவைத் தன் கைகளில் ஏந்திக்கொண்டு, தேவனை ஸ்தோத்திரித்து:
29 “Now you are releasing your servant, Master, according to your word, in peace;
௨௯“ஆண்டவரே, உமது வார்த்தையின்படி நான் இப்பொழுது சமாதானத்தோடு உயிரை விடுவேன்;
30 for my eyes have seen your method of salvation,
௩0யூதரல்லாதவர்களுக்குப் பிரகாசிக்கிற ஒளியாகவும், உம்முடைய மக்களாகிய இஸ்ரவேலுக்கு மகிமையாகவும்,
31 which you have prepared before the face of all peoples;
௩௧தேவரீர் எல்லா மக்களுக்கும் முன்பாக நீர் ஆயத்தம்பண்ணி,
32 a light for revelation to the nations, and the glory of your people Israel [God prevails].”
௩௨அனுப்பின இரட்சகரை என் கண்களால் பார்த்தேன்” என்றான்.
33 Joseph [May he add] and his mother were marveling at the things which were spoken concerning him,
௩௩இயேசுவைக்குறித்துச் சொல்லப்பட்டவைகளுக்காக யோசேப்பும் மரியாளும் ஆச்சரியப்பட்டார்கள்.
34 and Simeon [Hearing] blessed them, and said to Mary [Rebellion], his mother, “Behold, this child is set for the falling and the rising of many in Israel [God prevails], and for a sign which is spoken against.
௩௪பின்பு சிமியோன் அவர்களை ஆசீர்வதித்து, அவருடைய தாயாகிய மரியாளைப் பார்த்து: இதோ, இந்தக் குழந்தையினாலே, இஸ்ரவேலில் அநேகர் தேவனைவிட்டு விலகுவதற்கும், தேவனிடத்தில் வருவதற்கும், மக்களால் விரோதமாகப் பேசப்படும் அவர்களை எச்சரிக்கும் ஒரு அடையாளமாகவும், இவர் நியமிக்கப்பட்டிருக்கிறார்.
35 Yes, a sword will pierce through your own soul, that the thoughts of many hearts may be revealed.”
௩௫முடிவிலே, தேவனைப்பற்றி அநேக இருதயங்களின் சிந்தனைகள் வெளிப்படும். உன் இருதயம் பட்டயத்தினால் குத்தப்பட்டதுபோல வேதனைப்படும் என்றான்.
36 There was one Anna, a prophetess, the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Asher [Happy] (she was of a great age, having lived with a husband seven years from her virginity,
௩௬ஆசேருடைய கோத்திரத்தைச் சேர்ந்த, பானுவேலின் மகளாகிய அன்னாள் என்ற பெயர்கொண்ட வயதான ஒரு தீர்க்கதரிசி இருந்தாள்; அவள் திருமணம்செய்து ஏழுவருடங்கள்மட்டுமே புருஷனோடு வாழ்ந்தாள்.
37 and she had been a widow for about eighty-four years), who didn’t depart from the temple, worshiping with fastings and petitions night and day.
௩௭எண்பத்து நான்கு வயதுள்ள அந்த விதவை தேவாலயத்தைவிட்டுப் போகாமல், இரவும் பகலும் உபவாசித்து, ஜெபம்பண்ணி, ஆராதனை செய்துகொண்டிருந்தாள்.
38 Coming up at that very hour, she gave thanks to Yahweh, and spoke of him to all those who were looking for redemption in Jerusalem [City of peace].
௩௮அவளும் அந்த நேரத்திலே வந்து, கர்த்த்தரைப் புகழ்ந்து, எருசலேமின் மீட்புக்காகக் காத்திருந்த எல்லோருக்கும் இயேசுவைக்குறித்துப் பேசினாள்.
39 When they had accomplished everything required by the Torah ·Teaching· of MarYah [Master Yahweh], they returned into Galilee [District, Circuit], to their town of Nazareth [Branch, Separated one].
௩௯கர்த்தருடைய நியாயப்பிரமாணத்தின்படி எல்லாவற்றையும் அவர்கள் செய்துமுடித்தபின்பு, கலிலேயா நாட்டிலுள்ள தங்களுடைய சொந்த ஊரான நாசரேத்திற்குத் திரும்பிப்போனார்கள்.
40 The child was growing, and was becoming strong in spirit, being filled with wisdom, and the grace of God was upon him.
௪0அந்தப் பிள்ளை வளர்ந்து, பெலன்கொண்டு, ஞானத்தினால் நிறைந்தது. தேவனுடைய கிருபையும் அவர்மேல் இருந்தது.
41 His parents went every year to Jerusalem [City of peace] at the festival of the Pesac ·Passover·.
௪௧இயேசுவின் பெற்றோர் ஒவ்வொரு வருடமும் பஸ்கா பண்டிகைக் கொண்டாட எருசலேமுக்குப் போவார்கள்.
42 When he was twelve years old, they went up to Jerusalem [City of peace] according to the custom of the feast,
௪௨இயேசுவிற்குப் பன்னிரண்டு வயதானபோது, அவர்கள் அந்தப் பண்டிகைமுறைமையின்படி எருசலேமுக்குப் போனார்கள்.
43 and when they had fulfilled the days, as they were making teshuvah ·complete return·, the boy Yeshua [Salvation] stayed behind in Jerusalem [City of peace]. Joseph [May he add] and his mother didn’t know it,
௪௩பண்டிகைநாட்கள் முடிந்து, திரும்பிவருகிறபோது, பிள்ளையாகிய இயேசு எருசலேமிலே இருந்துவிட்டார்; இது அவருடைய பெற்றோருக்குத் தெரியாமல் இருந்தது.
44 but supposing him to be in the company, they went a day’s journey, and they looked for him among their relatives and acquaintances.
௪௪இயேசு பயணம் செய்கிறவர்களின் கூட்டத்தோடு இருப்பார் என்று அவர்கள் நினைத்துக்கொண்டார்கள், ஒருநாள் பயணம் சென்றபின்பு, உறவினர்கள் மற்றும் நண்பர்களிடம் இயேசுவைத் தேடினார்கள்.
45 When they didn’t find him, they make teshuvah ·complete return· to Jerusalem [City of peace], looking for him.
௪௫அவர் அங்கே இல்லாததினால் அவரைத் தேடிக்கொண்டே எருசலேமுக்குத் திரும்பிப்போனார்கள்.
46 After three days they found him in the temple, sitting in the middle of the teachers, both listening to them, and asking them questions.
௪௬மூன்று நாட்களுக்குப்பின்பு, அவர் தேவாலயத்தில் போதகர்கள் நடுவில் உட்கார்ந்திருப்பதையும், அவர்கள் பேசுகிறதைக் கவனிப்பதையும், அவர்களிடம் கேள்விகளைக் கேட்பதையும் பார்த்தார்கள்.
47 All who heard him were amazed at his understanding and his answers.
௪௭இயேசு பேசுவதைக்கேட்ட எல்லோரும் அவருடைய புத்தியையும் அவர் போதகர்களுடைய கேள்விகளுக்கு சொன்ன பதில்களையும்குறித்து ஆச்சரியப்பட்டார்கள்.
48 When they saw him, they were astonished, and his mother said to him, “Son, why have you treated us this way? Behold, your 'Avikah ·your Father· and I were anxiously looking for you.”
௪௮இயேசுவின் பெற்றோரும் அவரைக்கண்டு ஆச்சரியப்பட்டார்கள். அப்பொழுது அவருடைய தாயார் அவரை நோக்கி: மகனே! ஏன் எங்களுக்கு இப்படிச் செய்தாய்? இதோ, உன் தகப்பனும் நானும் மிகுந்த கவலையோடு உன்னைத் தேடினோம் என்றாள்.
49 He said to them, “Why were you looking for me? Didn’t you know that I must be in 'Avi ·my Father·’s house?”
௪௯அதற்கு அவர்: நீங்கள் ஏன் என்னைத் தேடினீர்கள்? நான் என் பிதாவின் காரியங்களை செய்யவேண்டும் என்பது உங்களுக்குத் தெரியாதா? என்றார்.
50 They didn’t understand the saying which he spoke to them.
௫0ஆனால், அவர் சொன்ன வார்த்தைகளை அவர்கள் புரிந்துகொள்ளவில்லை.
51 And he went down with them, and came to Nazareth [Branch, Separated one]. He was subject to them, and his mother kept all these sayings in her heart.
௫௧பின்பு அவர் அவர்களோடுபோய், நாசரேத்தூருக்குச் சென்று, அவர்களுக்குக் கீழ்ப்படிந்து நடந்தார். அவருடைய தாயார் இந்த விஷயங்களையெல்லாம் தன் இருதயத்திலே வைத்துக்கொண்டாள்.
52 And Yeshua [Salvation] increased in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men.
௫௨இயேசுவானவர் ஞானத்திலும், வளர்ச்சியிலும், தேவகிருபையிலும், மனிதர்கள் தயவிலும் அதிகமாக வளர்ந்தார்.
