John 4
1 Therefore when the Lord knew that the Pharisees [Separated] had heard that Yeshua [Salvation] was making and baptizing more disciples than John [Yah is gracious]
യേശു യോഹന്നാനെക്കാൾ അധികം ശിഷ്യന്മാരെ ചേർത്തു സ്നാനം കഴിപ്പിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പരീശന്മാർ കേട്ടു എന്നു കർത്താവു അറിഞ്ഞപ്പോൾ
2 (although Yeshua [Salvation] himself didn’t mikvah ·baptise·, but his disciples),
‒ ശിഷ്യന്മാർ അല്ലാതെ യേശു തന്നേ സ്നാനം കഴിപ്പിച്ചില്ലതാനും ‒
3 he left Judea [Praise], and departed into Galilee [District, Circuit].
അവൻ യെഹൂദ്യദേശം വിട്ടു പിന്നെയും ഗലീലെക്കു യാത്രയായി.
4 He needed to pass through Samaria [Watch-mountain].
അവൻ ശമര്യയിൽ കൂടി കടന്നുപോകേണ്ടിവന്നു.
5 So he came to a city of Samaria [Watch-mountain], called Sychar [Shoulder], near the parcel of ground that Jacob [Supplanter] gave to his son, Joseph [May he add].
അങ്ങനെ അവൻ സുഖാർ എന്നോരു ശമര്യപട്ടണത്തിൽ യാക്കോബ് തന്റെ പുത്രനായ യോസേഫിന്നു കൊടുത്ത നിലത്തിന്നരികെ എത്തി.
6 Jacob [Supplanter]’s well was there. Yeshua [Salvation] therefore, being tired from his journey, sat down by the well. It was about noon.
അവിടെ യാക്കോബിന്റെ ഉറവുണ്ടായിരുന്നു. യേശു വഴി നടന്നു ക്ഷീണിച്ചിട്ടു ഉറവിന്നരികെ ഇരുന്നു; അപ്പോൾ ഏകദേശം ആറാം മണിനേരം ആയിരുന്നു.
7 A woman of Samaria [Watch-mountain] came to draw water. Yeshua [Salvation] said to her, “Give me a drink.”
ഒരു ശമര്യസ്ത്രീ വെള്ളം കോരുവാൻ വന്നു; യേശു അവളോടു: എനിക്കു കുടിപ്പാൻ തരുമോ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.
8 For his disciples had gone away into the city to buy food.
അവന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാർ ഭക്ഷണസാധനങ്ങളെ കൊള്ളുവാൻ പട്ടണത്തിൽ പോയിരുന്നു.
9 The Samaritan [person from Watch-mountain] woman therefore said to him, “How is it that you, being a Jew [Praiser], ask for a drink from me, a Samaritan [person from Watch-mountain] woman?” (For Jews [Praisers] have no dealings with Samaritans [people from Watch-mountain].)
ശമര്യസ്ത്രീ അവനോടു: നീ യെഹൂദൻ ആയിരിക്കെ ശമര്യക്കാരത്തിയായ എന്നോടു കുടിപ്പാൻ ചോദിക്കുന്നതു എങ്ങനെ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. യെഹൂദന്മാർക്കും ശമര്യർക്കും തമ്മിൽ സമ്പർക്കമില്ല. —
10 Yeshua [Salvation] answered her, “If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, ‘Give me a drink,’ you would have asked him, and he would have given you living water.”
അതിന്നു യേശു: നീ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ദാനവും നിന്നോടു കുടിപ്പാൻ ചോദിക്കുന്നവൻ ആരെന്നും അറിഞ്ഞു എങ്കിൽ നീ അവനോടു ചോദിക്കയും അവൻ ജീവനുള്ള വെള്ളം നിനക്കു തരികയും ചെയ്യുമായിരുന്നു എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.
11 The woman said to him, “Sir, you have nothing to draw with, and the well is deep. So where do you get that living water?
സ്ത്രീ അവനോടു: യജമാനനേ, നിനക്കു കോരുവാൻ പാത്രം ഇല്ലല്ലോ; കിണറു ആഴമുള്ളതാകുന്നു; പിന്നെ ജീവനുള്ള വെള്ളം നിനക്കു എവിടെ നിന്നു?
12 Are you greater than Avinu ·our Father·, Jacob [Supplanter], who gave us the well, and drank of it himself, as did his children, and his livestock?”
നമ്മുടെ പിതാവായ യാക്കോബിനെക്കാൾ നീ വലിയവനോ? അവൻ ആകുന്നു ഈ കിണറു ഞങ്ങൾക്കു തന്നതു; അവനും അവന്റെ മക്കളും മൃഗങ്ങളും ഇതിലെ വെള്ളം കുടിച്ചുപോന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
13 Yeshua [Salvation] answered her, “Everyone who drinks of this water will thirst again,
യേശു അവളോടു: ഈ വെള്ളം കുടിക്കുന്നവന്നു എല്ലാം പിന്നെയും ദാഹിക്കും.
15 The woman said to him, “Sir, give me this water, so that I don’t get thirsty, neither come all the way here to draw.”
സ്ത്രീ അവനാടു: യജമാനനേ, എനിക്കു ദാഹിക്കാതെയും ഞാൻ കോരുവാൻ ഇവിടത്തോളം വരാതെയുമിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ആ വെള്ളം എനിക്കു തരേണം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
16 Yeshua [Salvation] said to her, “Go, call your husband, and come here.”
യേശു അവളോടു: പോയി ഭർത്താവിനെ വിളിച്ചുകൊണ്ടുവരിക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
17 The woman answered, “I have no husband.” Yeshua [Salvation] said to her, “You said well, ‘I have no husband,’
എനിക്കു ഭർത്താവു ഇല്ല എന്നു സ്ത്രീ അവനോടു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞതിന്നു: എനിക്കു ഭർത്താവു ഇല്ല എന്നു നീ പറഞ്ഞതു ശരി.
18 for you have had five husbands; and he whom you now have is not your husband. This you have said truly.”
അഞ്ചു ഭർത്താക്കന്മാർ നിനക്കു ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; ഇപ്പോൾ ഉള്ളവനോ ഭർത്താവല്ല; നീ പറഞ്ഞതു സത്യം തന്നേ എന്നു യേശു പറഞ്ഞു.
19 The woman said to him, “Sir, I perceive that you are a prophet.
സ്ത്രീ അവനോടു: യജമാനനേ, നീ പ്രവാചകൻ എന്നു ഞാൻ കാണുന്നു.
20 Our fathers worshiped in this mountain, and you Jews [Praisers] say that in Jerusalem [City of peace] is the place where people ought to worship.”
ഞങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാർ ഈ മലയിൽ നമസ്കരിച്ചുവന്നു; നമസ്കരിക്കേണ്ടുന്ന സ്ഥലം യെരൂശലേമിൽ ആകുന്നു എന്നു നിങ്ങൾ പറയുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
21 Yeshua [Salvation] said to her, “Woman, trust me, the time will come, when neither in this mountain, nor in Jerusalem [City of peace], will you worship Abba Father.
യേശു അവളോടു പറഞ്ഞതു: സ്ത്രീയേ, എന്റെ വാക്കു വിശ്വസിക്ക; നിങ്ങൾ പിതാവിനെ നമസ്കരിക്കുന്നതു ഈ മലയിലും അല്ല യെരൂശലേമിലും അല്ല എന്നുള്ള നാഴിക വരുന്നു.
22 You worship that which you don’t know. We worship that which we know; for yishu'ah ·salvation· is from the Jews [Praisers].
നിങ്ങൾ അറിയാത്തതിനെ നമസ്കരിക്കുന്നു. ഞങ്ങളോ അറിയുന്നതിനെ നമസ്കരിക്കുന്നു; രക്ഷ യെഹൂദന്മാരുടെ ഇടയിൽ നിന്നല്ലോ വരുന്നതു.
23 But the time will come, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship Abba Father in spirit and truth, for Abba Father seeks such to be his worshipers.
സത്യനമസ്കാരികൾ പിതാവിനെ ആത്മാവിലും സത്യത്തിലും നമസ്കരിക്കുന്ന നാഴിക വരുന്നു; ഇപ്പോൾ വന്നുമിരിക്കുന്നു. തന്നേ നമസ്കരിക്കുന്നവർ ഇങ്ങനെയുള്ളവർ ആയിരിക്കേണം എന്നു പിതാവു ഇച്ഛിക്കുന്നു.
24 God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.”
ദൈവം ആത്മാവു ആകുന്നു; അവനെ നമസ്കരിക്കുന്നവർ ആത്മാവിലും സത്യത്തിലും നമസ്കരിക്കേണം.
25 The woman said to him, “I know that Messiah [Anointed one] comes, he who is called Messiah [Anointed one]. When he has come, he will declare to us all things.”
സ്ത്രീ അവനോടു: മശീഹ — എന്നുവെച്ചാൽ ക്രിസ്തു — വരുന്നു എന്നു ഞാൻ അറിയുന്നു; അവൻ വരുമ്പോൾ സകലവും അറിയിച്ചുതരും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
26 Yeshua [Salvation] said to her, “Ena Na [I AM (the Living God)], I who is speaking to you.”
യേശു അവളോടു: നിന്നോടു സംസാരിക്കുന്ന ഞാൻ തന്നേ മശീഹ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
27 At this, his disciples came. They marveled that he was speaking with a woman; yet no one said, “What are you looking for?” or, “Why do you speak with her?”
ഇതിന്നിടയിൽ അവന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാർ വന്നു അവൻ സ്ത്രീയോടു സംസാരിക്കയാൽ ആശ്ചര്യപ്പെട്ടു എങ്കിലും: നീ എന്തു ചോദിക്കുന്നു? അവളോടു എന്തു സംസാരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു ആരും ചോദിച്ചില്ല.
28 So the woman left her water pot, and went away into the city, and said to the people,
അനന്തരം സ്ത്രീ പാത്രം വെച്ചിട്ടു പട്ടണത്തിൽ ചെന്നു ജനങ്ങളോടു:
29 “Come, see a man who told me everything that I did. Can this be the Messiah [Anointed one]?”
ഞാൻ ചെയ്തതു ഒക്കെയും എന്നോടു പറഞ്ഞ ഒരു മനുഷ്യനെ വന്നുകാണ്മിൻ; അവൻ പക്ഷേ ക്രിസ്തു ആയിരിക്കുമോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
30 They went out of the city, and were coming to him.
അവർ പട്ടണത്തിൽനിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടു അവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നു.
31 In the meanwhile, the disciples urged him, saying, “Rabbi ·Teacher·, eat.”
അതിന്നിടയിൽ ശിഷ്യന്മാർ അവനോടു: റബ്ബീ, ഭക്ഷിച്ചാലും എന്നു അപേക്ഷിച്ചു.
32 But he said to them, “I have food to eat that you don’t know about.”
അതിന്നു അവൻ: നിങ്ങൾ അറിയാത്ത ആഹാരം ഭക്ഷിപ്പാൻ എനിക്കു ഉണ്ടു എന്നു അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞു.
33 The disciples therefore said to one another, “Has anyone brought him something to eat?”
ആകയാൽ വല്ലവനും അവന്നു ഭക്ഷിപ്പാൻ കൊണ്ടുവന്നുവോ എന്നു ശിഷ്യന്മാർ തമ്മിൽ പറഞ്ഞു.
34 Yeshua [Salvation] said to them, “My food is to do the will of him who sent me, and to accomplish his work.
യേശു അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞതു: എന്നെ അയച്ചവന്റെ ഇഷ്ടം ചെയ്തു അവന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തി തികെക്കുന്നതു തന്നേ എന്റെ ആഹാരം.
35 Don’t you say, ‘There are yet four months until the harvest?’ Behold, I tell you, lift up your eyes, and look at the fields, that they are white for harvest already.
ഇനി നാലു മാസം കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടു കൊയ്ത്തു വരുന്നു എന്നു നിങ്ങൾ പറയുന്നില്ലയോ? നിങ്ങൾ തല പൊക്കി നോക്കിയാൽ നിലങ്ങൾ ഇപ്പോൾ തന്നേ കൊയ്ത്തിന്നു വെളുത്തിരിക്കുന്നതു കാണും എന്നു ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു.
36 He who reaps receives wages, and gathers fruit to eternal life; that both he who sows and he who reaps may rejoice together. (aiōnios g166)
വിതെക്കുന്നവനും കൊയ്യുന്നവനും ഒരുമിച്ചു സന്തോഷിപ്പാൻ തക്കവണ്ണം കൊയ്യുന്നവൻ കൂലി വാങ്ങി നിത്യജീവങ്കലേക്കു വിളവു കൂട്ടിവെക്കുന്നു. (aiōnios g166)
37 For in this the saying is true, ‘One sows, and another reaps.’
വിതെക്കുന്നതു ഒരുത്തൻ, കൊയ്യുന്നതു മറ്റൊരുത്തൻ എന്നുള്ള പഴഞ്ചൊൽ ഇതിൽ ഒത്തിരിക്കുന്നു.
38 I sent you to reap that for which you haven’t labored. Others have labored, and you have entered into their labor.”
നിങ്ങൾ അദ്ധ്വാനിച്ചിട്ടില്ലാത്തതു കൊയ്‌വാൻ ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളെ അയച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; മറ്റുള്ളവർ അദ്ധ്വാനിച്ചു; അവരുടെ അദ്ധ്വാനഫലത്തിലേക്കു നിങ്ങൾ പ്രവേശിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
39 From that city many of the Samaritans [people from Watch-mountain] trusted in him because of the word of the woman, who testified, “He told me everything that I did.”
ഞാൻ ചെയ്തതു ഒക്കെയും അവൻ എന്നോടു പറഞ്ഞു എന്നു സ്ത്രീ സാക്ഷ്യം പറഞ്ഞ വാക്കുനിമിത്തം ആ പട്ടണത്തിലെ പല ശമര്യരും അവനിൽ വിശ്വസിച്ചു.
40 So when the Samaritans [people from Watch-mountain] came to him, they begged him to stay with them. He stayed there two days.
അങ്ങനെ ശമര്യർ അവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നു തങ്ങളോടുകൂടെ പാർക്കേണം എന്നു അവനോടു അപേക്ഷിച്ചു; അവൻ രണ്ടുനാൾ അവിടെ പാർത്തു.
41 Many more trusted because of his word.
ഏറ്റവും അധികംപേർ അവന്റെ വചനം കേട്ടു വിശ്വസിച്ചു:
42 They said to the woman, “Now we trust, not because of your speaking; for we have heard for ourselves, and know that this is indeed the Messiah [Anointed one], the Savior of the world.”
ഇനി നിന്റെ വാക്കുകൊണ്ടല്ല ഞങ്ങൾ വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നതു; ഞങ്ങൾ തന്നേ കേൾക്കയും അവൻ സാക്ഷാൽ ലോകരക്ഷിതാവു എന്നു അറികയും ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു സ്ത്രീയോടു പറഞ്ഞു.
43 After the two days he went out from there and went into Galilee [District, Circuit].
രണ്ടു ദിവസം കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടു അവൻ അവിടംവിട്ടു ഗലീലെക്കു പോയി.
44 For Yeshua [Salvation] himself testified that a prophet has no honor in his own country.
പ്രവാചകന്നു തന്റെ പിതൃദേശത്തു ബഹുമാനം ഇല്ല എന്നു യേശു തന്നേ സാക്ഷ്യം പറഞ്ഞിരുന്നു.
45 So when he came into Galilee [District, Circuit], the Galileans received him, having seen all the things that he did in Jerusalem [City of peace] at the feast, for they also went to the feast.
അവൻ ഗലീലയിൽ എത്തിയപ്പോൾ ഗലീലക്കാർ തങ്ങളും പെരുന്നാളിന്നു പോയി അവൻ യെരൂശലേമിൽവെച്ചു പെരുനാളിൽ ചെയ്തതു ഒക്കെയും കണ്ടതുകൊണ്ടു അവനെ അംഗീകരിച്ചു.
46 Yeshua [Salvation] came therefore again to Cana of Galilee [District, Circuit], where he made the water into wine. There was a certain nobleman whose son was sick at Capernaum [Village-Comfort, Village-Compassion].
അവൻ പിന്നെയും താൻ വെള്ളം വീഞ്ഞാക്കിയ ഗലീലയിലെ കാനായിൽ വന്നു. അന്നു മകൻ രോഗിയായിരുന്നോരു രാജഭൃത്യൻ കഫർന്നഹൂമിൽ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.
47 When he heard that Yeshua [Salvation] had come out of Judea [Praise] into Galilee [District, Circuit], he went to him, and begged him that he would come down and heal his son, for he was at the point of death.
യേശു യെഹൂദ്യദേശത്തുനിന്നു ഗലീലയിൽ വന്നു എന്നു അവൻ കേട്ടു അവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ ചെന്നു, തന്റെ മകൻ മരിപ്പാറായിരിക്കകൊണ്ടു അവൻ വന്നു അവനെ സൗഖ്യമാക്കേണം എന്നു അപേക്ഷിച്ചു.
48 Yeshua [Salvation] therefore said to him, “Unless you see signs and wonders, you will in no way trust.”
യേശു അവനോടു: നിങ്ങൾ അടയാളങ്ങളും അത്ഭുതങ്ങളും കണ്ടിട്ടല്ലാതെ വിശ്വസിക്കയില്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
49 The nobleman said to him, “Sir, come down before my child dies.”
രാജഭൃത്യൻ അവനോടു: കർത്താവേ, പൈതൽ മരിക്കുംമുമ്പേ വരേണമേ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
50 Yeshua [Salvation] said to him, “Go your way. Your son lives.” The man trusted the word that Yeshua [Salvation] spoke to him, and he went his way.
യേശു അവനോടു: പൊയ്ക്കൊൾക; നിന്റെ മകൻ ജീവിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. യേശു പറഞ്ഞ വാക്കു വിശ്വസിച്ചു ആ മനുഷ്യൻ പോയി.
51 As he was now going down, his servants met him and reported, saying “Your child lives!”
അവൻ പോകയിൽ അവന്റെ ദാസന്മാർ അവനെ എതിരേറ്റു മകൻ ജീവിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
52 So he inquired of them the hour when he began to get better. They said therefore to him, “Yesterday at one o'clock in the afternoon, the fever left him.”
അവന്നു ഭേദം വന്ന നാഴിക അവരോടു ചോദിച്ചതിന്നു അവർ അവനോടു: ഇന്നലെ ഏഴുമണിക്കു പനി വിട്ടുമാറി എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
53 So the Abba Father knew that it was at that hour in which Yeshua [Salvation] said to him, “Your son lives.” He trusted, as did his whole house.
ആകയാൽ നിന്റെ മകൻ ജീവിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു യേശു പറഞ്ഞ നാഴികയിൽ തന്നേ എന്നു അപ്പൻ ഗ്രഹിച്ചു താനും കുടുംബം ഒക്കെയും വിശ്വസിച്ചു.
54 This is again the second sign that Yeshua [Salvation] did, having come out of Judea [Praise] into Galilee [District, Circuit].
യേശു യെഹൂദ്യയിൽനിന്നു ഗലീലയിൽ വന്നപ്പോൾ ഇതു രണ്ടാമത്തെ അടയാളമായിട്ടു ചെയ്തു.
