John 10
1 “Most certainly, I tell you, one who does not enter by the door into the sheep fold, but climbs up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.
“Amin, amin nawaambia, yeye asiyeingia katika zizi la kondoo kwa kupitia kwenye lango, lakini akwea kuingia ndani kwa njia nyingine, ni mwizi na mnyangʼanyi.
2 But one who enters in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep.
Yeye anayeingia kwa kupitia kwenye lango ndiye mchungaji wa kondoo.
3 The gatekeeper opens the gate for him, and the sheep listen to his voice. He calls his own sheep by name, and leads them out.
Mlinzi humfungulia lango na kondoo huisikia sauti yake. Huwaita kondoo wake kwa majina yao na kuwatoa nje ya zizi.
4 Whenever he brings out his own sheep, he goes before them, and the sheep follow him, for they know his voice.
Akiisha kuwatoa wote nje, hutangulia mbele yao na kondoo humfuata kwa kuwa wanaijua sauti yake.
5 They will by no means follow a stranger, but will flee from him; for they don’t know the voice of strangers.”
Lakini kondoo hawatamfuata mgeni bali watamkimbia, kwa sababu hawaijui sauti ya mgeni.”
6 Yeshua [Salvation] spoke this parable to them, but they didn’t understand what he was telling them.
Yesu alitumia mfano huu, lakini wao hawakuelewa hayo aliyokuwa akiwaambia.
7 Yeshua [Salvation] therefore said to them again, “Most certainly, I tell you, Ena Na [I AM (the Living God)] the sheep’s door.
Kwa hiyo Yesu akasema nao tena akawaambia, “Amin, amin nawaambia, mimi ndimi lango la kondoo.
8 All who came before me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep didn’t listen to them.
Wote walionitangulia ni wevi na wanyangʼanyi, lakini kondoo hawakuwasikia.
9 Ena Na [I AM (the Living God)] the door. If anyone enters in by me, he will be saved, and will go in and go out, and will find pasture.
Mimi ndimi lango, yeyote anayeingia zizini kwa kupitia kwangu ataokoka, ataingia na kutoka, naye atapata malisho.
10 The thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly.
Mwizi huja ili aibe, kuua na kuangamiza. Mimi nimekuja ili wapate uzima kisha wawe nao tele.
11 Ena Na [I AM (the Living God)] the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.
“Mimi ndimi mchungaji mwema. Mchungaji mwema huutoa uhai wake kwa ajili ya kondoo.
12 He who is a hired hand, and not a shepherd, who does not own the sheep, sees the wolf coming, leaves the sheep, and flees. The wolf snatches the sheep, and scatters them.
Mtu wa kuajiriwa sio mchungaji mwenye kondoo. Amwonapo mbwa mwitu akija, yeye hukimbia na kuwaacha kondoo. Naye mbwa mwitu hulishambulia kundi na kulitawanya.
13 The hired hand flees because he is a hired hand, and does not care for the sheep.
Yeye hukimbia kwa sababu ameajiriwa wala hawajali kondoo.
14 Ena Na [I AM (the Living God)] the good shepherd. I know my own, and I’m known by my own;
“Mimi ndimi mchungaji mwema. Ninawajua kondoo wangu nao kondoo wangu wananijua.
15 even as Abba ·Father familiar, Dear Dad· knows me, and I know Abba Father. I lay down my life for the sheep.
Kama vile Baba anavyonijua mimi, nami ninavyomjua Baba, nami nautoa uhai wangu kwa ajili ya kondoo.
16 I have other sheep, which are not of this fold. I must bring them also, and they will hear my voice. They will become one flock with one shepherd.
Ninao kondoo wengine ambao si wa zizi hili, inanipasa kuwaleta, nao wataisikia sauti yangu, hivyo patakuwa na kundi moja na mchungaji mmoja.
17 For this reason haAbba ·the Father· has agapao ·total devotion love· unto me, because I lay down my life so that I may take it again.
Baba yangu ananipenda kwa kuwa ninautoa uhai wangu ili niupate tena.
18 No one takes it away from me, but I lay it down by myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. I received this commandment from 'Avi ·my Father·.”
Hakuna mtu aniondoleaye uhai wangu, bali ninautoa kwa hiari yangu mwenyewe. Ninao uwezo wa kuutoa uhai wangu na pia ninao uwezo wa kuutwaa tena. Amri hii nimepewa na Baba yangu.”
19 Therefore a division arose again among the Jews [Praisers] because of these words.
Kwa maneno haya Wayahudi waligawanyika.
20 Many of them said, “He has a demon, and is insane! Why do you listen to him?”
Wengi wao wakasema, “Huyu amepagawa na pepo mchafu, naye amechanganyikiwa.”
21 Others said, “These are not the sayings of one possessed by a demon. It is not possible for a demon to open the eyes of the blind, is it?”
Wengine wakasema, “Haya si maneno ya mtu aliyepagawa na pepo mchafu. Je, pepo mchafu aweza kufungua macho ya kipofu?”
22 Then came the Festival of Chanukah ·Dedication· at Jerusalem [City of peace]. (This occurs in the ninth month 25th day to tenth month 2nd day).
Wakati huo ilikuwa Sikukuu ya Kuwekwa wakfu kwa Hekalu huko Yerusalemu, nao ulikuwa wakati wa majira ya baridi.
23 It was winter, and Yeshua [Salvation] was walking in the temple, in Solomon [Peaceable, Recompense]’s portico (where one can see the four giant menorahs).
Naye Yesu alikuwa akitembea ndani ya Hekalu katika ukumbi wa Solomoni.
24 The Jews [Praisers] therefore came around him and said to him, “How long will you hold us in suspense? If you are the Messiah [Anointed one], tell us plainly.”
Wayahudi wakamkusanyikia wakamuuliza, “Utatuweka katika hali ya mashaka mpaka lini? Kama wewe ndiye Kristo tuambie waziwazi.”
25 Yeshua [Salvation] answered them, “I told you, and you don’t believe. The works that I do in 'Avi ·my Father·’s name, these testify about me.
Yesu akawajibu, “Nimewaambia, lakini hamwamini. Mambo ninayoyatenda kwa jina la Baba yangu yananishuhudia.
26 But you don’t believe, because you are not of my sheep, as I told you.
Lakini hamwamini, kwa sababu ninyi si wa kundi la kondoo wangu.
27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.
Kondoo wangu huisikia sauti yangu nami nawajua, nao hunifuata,
29 'Avi [My Father], who has given them to me, is greater than all. No one is able to snatch them out of 'Avi ·my Father·’s hand.
Baba yangu aliyenipa hawa ni mkuu kuliko wote na hakuna awezaye kuwapokonya kutoka mikononi mwake.
30 I and Abba ·Father familiar, Dear Dad· are one.”
Mimi na Baba yangu tu umoja.”
31 Therefore Jews [Praisers] took up stones again to stone him.
Kwa mara nyingine Wayahudi wakainua mawe ili wampige nayo,
32 Yeshua [Salvation] answered them, “I have shown you many good works from 'Avi ·my Father·. For which of those works do you stone me?”
lakini Yesu akawaambia, “Nimewaonyesha miujiza mingi mikubwa kutoka kwa Baba yangu. Ni ipi katika hiyo mnataka kunipiga mawe?”
33 The Jews [Praisers] answered him, “We don’t stone you for a good work, but for blasphemy: because you, being a man, make yourself God.”
Wayahudi wakamjibu, “Hatukupigi mawe kwa sababu ya mambo mema uliyotenda, bali ni kwa kuwa umekufuru. Wewe ingawa ni mwanadamu unajifanya kuwa Mungu.”
34 Yeshua [Salvation] answered them, “Is not it written in your Torah ·Teaching·, ‘I said, you are elohim ·judges, gods·?’
Yesu akawajibu, “Je, haikuandikwa katika Sheria ya kwamba, ‘Nimesema kuwa, ninyi ni miungu?’
35 If he called the people 'elohim' ·judges, gods·, to whom the word of Elohim ·God· came (and the Scripture can’t be broken),
Kama aliwaita ‘miungu,’ wale ambao neno la Mungu liliwafikia, nayo Maandiko hayawezi kutanguka,
36 do you say of him whom haAbba ·the Father· sanctified and sent into the world, ‘You blaspheme,’ because I said, ‘I am the Ben-Elohim ·Son of Elohim God·?’
je, mwawezaje kusema kwamba yule ambaye Baba amemweka wakfu na kumtuma ulimwenguni anakufuru, kwa sababu nilisema, ‘Mimi ni Mwana wa Mungu?’
37 If I don’t do the works of 'Avi ·my Father·, don’t believe me.
Ikiwa sifanyi kazi za Baba yangu, basi msiniamini,
38 But if I do them, though you don’t believe me, believe the works; that you may know and believe that haAbba ·the Father· is in me, and I in Abba Father.”
lakini ikiwa nazifanya kazi za Mungu, hata kama hamniamini mimi ziaminini hizo kazi, ili mpate kujua na kuelewa kwamba Baba yu ndani yangu, nami ndani yake.”
39 They sought again to seize him, and he went out of their hand.
Ndipo wakajaribu kumkamata kwa mara nyingine, lakini akaponyoka kutoka mikononi mwao.
40 He went away again beyond the Jordan [Descender] into the place where John [Yah is gracious] was baptizing at first, and there he stayed.
Akaenda tena ngʼambo ya Mto Yordani mpaka mahali pale ambapo Yohana alikuwa akibatiza hapo awali, naye akakaa huko.
41 Many came to him. They said, “John [Yah is gracious] indeed did no sign, but everything that John [Yah is gracious] said about this man is true.”
Watu wengi wakamjia, nao wakawa wakisema, “Yohana hakufanya muujiza wowote, lakini kila jambo alilosema kumhusu huyu mtu ni kweli.”
42 Many believed in him there.
Nao wengi wakamwamini Yesu huko.
