Isaiah 59
1 Behold, Adonai’s hand is not shortened, that it can’t save; nor his ear dull, that it can’t sh'ma ·hear obey·.
Gle, nije okraèala ruka Gospodnja da ne može spasti, niti je otežalo uho njegovo da ne može èuti.
2 But your depravities (moral evils) have separated you and your God, and your habitual sins ·missing the marks· have hidden his face from you, so that he will not sh'ma ·hear obey·.
Nego bezakonja vaša rastaviše vas s Bogom vašim, i grijesi vaši zakloniše lice njegovo od vas, da ne èuje.
3 For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with depravity (moral evil). Your lips have spoken lies. Your tongue mutters wickedness.
Jer su ruke vaše oskvrnjene krvlju i prsti vaši bezakonjem; usne vaše govore laž i jezik vaš izrièe opaèinu.
4 No one sues in righteousness, and no one pleads in truth. They trust in vanity, and speak lies. They conceive mischief, and give birth to vain striving of iniquity.
Nema nikoga da vièe za pravdu, niti ima koga da se pre za istinu; uzdaju se u ništavilo, i govore laž; zaèinju nevolju, i raðaju muku.
5 They hatch adders’ eggs, and weave the spider’s web. He who eats of their eggs dies; and that which is crushed breaks out into a viper.
Nose jaja aspidina i tkaju pauèinu; ko pojede jaje njihovo umre, i ako koje razbije, ižljeze guja.
6 Their webs won’t become garments. They won’t cover themselves with their works. Their works are works of vain striving of iniquity, and acts of violence are in their hands.
Platno njihovo nije za haljine, niti æe se oni odjesti svojim poslom; posao je njihov bezakonje i u rukama je njihovijem nasilje.
7 Their feet run to evil, and they hurry to shed innocent blood. Their thoughts are thoughts of vain striving of iniquity. Desolation and destruction are in their paths.
Noge im trèe na zlo i brze su na proljevanje krvi prave; misli su njihove bezakonje; na putovima je njihovijem pustoš i rasap.
8 They don’t know the way of peace; and there is no mishpat ·justice· in their ways. They have made crooked paths for themselves; whoever goes in them does not know peace.
Puta mirnoga ne znaju, i na putovima njihovijem nema pravde; naèinili su sebi krive staze; ko god ide po njima, ne zna za mir.
9 Therefore is mishpat ·justice· far from us, and righteousness does not overtake us. We look for light, but see darkness; for brightness, but we walk in obscurity.
Zato je sud daleko od nas, i pravda ne dolazi do nas; èekamo vidjelo, a ono, eto mrak; svjetlost, a ono hodimo po tami.
10 We grope for the wall like the blind. Yes, we grope as those who have no eyes. We stumble at noon as if it were twilight. Among those who are strong, we are like dead men.
Pipamo kao slijepci zid, kao oni koji nemaju oèiju pipamo; spotièemo se u podne kao u sumraèje; u obilju smo kao mrtvi.
11 We all roar like bears, and moan bitterly like doves. We look for mishpat ·justice·, but there is none; for yishu'ah ·salvation·, but it is far off from us.
Rièemo svikoliki kao medvjedi, i jednako uèemo kao golubice; èekamo sud, a njega nema, spasenje, a ono je daleko od nas.
12 For our rebellious breaches of relationships are multiplied before you, and our habitual sins ·missing the marks· testify against us; for our rebellious breaches of relationships are with us, and as for our depravities (moral evils), we know them:
Jer se prijestupi naši umnožiše pred tobom i grijesi naši svjedoèe na nas; jer su prijestupi naši kod nas i bezakonja svoja znamo,
13 being rebellious, breaking away from authority thus breaking relationship and denying Adonai, and turning away from following our God, speaking oppression and revolt, conceiving and uttering from the heart words of falsehood.
Da nevjeru uèinismo i slagasmo Gospodu, i otstupismo od Boga svojega, govorismo o nasilju i odmetu, da sastavljasmo i iznosismo iz srca rijeèi lažne.
14 Mishpat ·Justice· is turned away backward, and righteousness stands far away; for truth has fallen in the street, and uprightness can’t enter.
Zato sud otstupi natrag, i pravda stoji daleko; jer istina pade na ulici i pravda ne može da proðe.
15 Yes, truth is lacking; and he who departs from evil makes himself a prey. Adonai saw it, and it displeased him that there was no mishpat ·justice·.
I istine je nestalo, i ko se uklanja oda zla, postaje plijen. To vidje Gospod, i ne bi mu milo što nema suda.
16 He saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no intercessor. Therefore his own arm brought salvation to him; and his righteousness sustained him.
I vidje gdje nema èovjeka, i zaèudi se što nema posrednika; zato uèini mu spasenje mišica njegova, i pravda njegova poduprije ga.
17 He put on righteousness as a breastplate, and a helmet of yishu'ah ·salvation· on his head. He put on garments of vengeance for clothing, and was clad with zeal as a mantle.
Jer se obuèe u pravdu kao u oklop, i šljem spasenja metnu na glavu; odjede se osvetom kao odijelom, i ogrte se revnošæu kao plaštem.
18 According to their deeds, he will repay as appropriate, wrath to his adversaries, recompense to his enemies; he will repay the islands their due.
Po djelima, po djelima da vrati gnjev protivnicima svojim, platu neprijateljima svojim, ostrvima da plati.
19 So shall they fear Adonai’s name from the west, and his kavod ·weighty glory· from the rising of the sun; for he will come as a rushing stream, which Adonai’s breath drives.
I bojaæe se imena Gospodnjega sa zapada, i slave njegove s istoka sunèanoga; jer æe neprijatelj navaliti kao rijeka, a duh æe Gospodnji podignuti zastavu suprot njemu.
20 “A Redeemer will come to Zion [Mountain ridge, Marking], to those in Jacob [Supplanter] who turn from rebellious breach of relationship,” says Adonai.
I doæi æe izbavitelj u Sion i k onima od Jakova koji se obraæaju od grijeha, veli Gospod.
21 “As for me, this is my covenant ·binding contract between two or more parties· with them,” says Adonai. “My Spirit who is on you, and my words which I have put in your mouth, shall not depart out of your mouth, nor out of the mouth of your offspring, nor out of the mouth of your offspring’s offspring,” says Adonai, “from henceforth and forever.”
A ovo æe biti zavjet moj s njima, veli Gospod: duh moj, koji je u tebi, i rijeèi moje, koje metnuh u usta tvoja, neæe otiæi od usta tvojih ni od usta sjemena tvojega, ni od usta sjemena sjemena tvojega, veli Gospod, otsele i dovijeka.
