Genesis 41
1 At the end of two full years, Pharaoh dreamed: and behold, he stood by the river.
És történt két év múltán, Fáraó álmodott, és íme, ő áll a folyam mellett.
2 Behold, there came up out of the river seven cattle, sleek and fat, and they fed in the marsh grass.
És íme, a folyamból feljön hét tehén, szép ábrázatúak és kövér húsúak, és legelnek a nádasban.
3 Behold, seven other cattle came up after them out of the river, ugly and thin, and stood by the other cattle on the brink of the river.
És íme, más hét tehén jön fel utánuk a folyamból, rút ábrázatúak és vékony húsúak; és megálltak a tehenek mellett a folyam partján.
4 The ugly and thin cattle ate up the seven sleek and fat cattle. So Pharaoh awoke.
És fölfalták a tehenek, a rút ábrázatúak és vékony húsúak, a hét tehenet, a szép ábrázatúakat és kövéreket; és Fáraó fölébredt.
5 He slept and dreamed a second time: and behold, seven heads of grain came up on one stalk, healthy and good.
Elaludt és álmodott másodszor; és íme, hét kalász terem egy száron, kövérek és szépek.
6 Behold, seven heads of grain, thin and blasted with the east wind, sprung up after them.
És íme hét kalász, vékony és a keleti széltől elperzselt, nő utánuk.
7 The thin heads of grain swallowed up the seven healthy and full ears. Pharaoh awoke, and behold, it was a dream.
És elnyelték a vékony kalászok a hét kövér és tele kalászt; Fáraó fölébredt és íme, álom volt.
8 In the morning, his spirit was troubled, and he sent and called for all of Egypt [Abode of slavery]’s magicians and wise men. Pharaoh told them his dreams, but there was no one who could interpret them to Pharaoh.
És volt reggel, nyugtalankodott a lelke, elküldött és hivatta Egyiptom összes írástudóit és összes bölcseit; és elbeszélte nekik Fáraó az ő álmát, de nem volt, aki megfejtse azokat Fáraónak.
9 Then the chief cup bearer spoke to Pharaoh, saying, “I remember my crimes deserving penalty, sins ·missing the goal·today.
Ekkor szólt a főpohárnok Fáraóhoz, mondván: Vétkeimet említem én föl ma.
10 Pharaoh was angry with his servants, and put me in custody in the house of the captain of the guard, me and the chief baker.
Fáraó haragudott az ő szolgáira és őrizet alá helyezett engem a testőrök főnökének házában, engem és a fősütőmestert.
11 We dreamed a dream in one night, I and he. We dreamed each man according to the interpretation of his dream.
Mi pedig álmodtunk álmot egy éjjel, én és ő; mindegyik a maga álmának megfejtése szerint álmodtunk.
12 There was with us there a young man, a Hebrew [Immigrant], servant to the captain of the guard, and we told him, and he interpreted to us our dreams. To each man according to his dream he interpreted.
És ott volt velünk egy héber fiú, a testőrök főnökének szolgája, mi elbeszéltük neki és ő megfejtette nekünk álmainkat; mindegyiknek a maga álma szerint fejtette meg.
13 As he interpreted to us, so it was. He restored me to my office, and he hanged him.”
És volt, amint ő megfejtette nekünk, úgy lett, engem visszahelyeztek állásomba, őt pedig felakasztották.
14 Then Pharaoh sent and called Joseph [May he add], and they brought him hastily out of the dungeon. He shaved himself, changed his clothing, and came in to Pharaoh.
És elküldött Fáraó, hivatta Józsefet és gyorsan kivették a börtönből; megnyiratkozott, ruhát váltott és bement Fáraóhoz.
15 Pharaoh said to Joseph [May he add], “I have dreamed a dream, and there is no one who can interpret it. I have sh'ma ·heard obeyed· it said of you, that when you sh'ma ·hear obey· a dream you can interpret it.”
És mondta Fáraó Józsefnek: Álmot álmodtam és nincs, aki megfejtse, én pedig hallottam rólad, mondván: értesz álmot, hogy megfejtsd azt.
16 Joseph [May he add] answered Pharaoh, saying, “It is not in me. God will give Pharaoh an answer of peace.”
És felelt József Fáraónak, mondván: Nem én, Isten jelenti ki Fáraó békéjét.
17 Pharaoh spoke to Joseph [May he add], “In my dream, behold, I stood on the brink of the river:
És szólt Fáraó Józsefhez: Álmomban, íme, én álltam a folyam partján.
18 and behold, there came up out of the river seven cattle, fat and sleek. They fed in the marsh grass,
És íme, a folyamból feljön hét tehén, kövér húsúak és szép alakúak, és legelnek a nádasban.
19 and behold, seven other cattle came up after them, poor and very ugly and thin, such as I never saw in all the land of Egypt [Abode of slavery] for ugliness.
És íme, más hét tehén jön fel utánuk, hitványak, igen rút alakúak és sovány húsúak; nem láttam olyanokat Egyiptom egész országában rútságra nézve.
20 The thin and ugly cattle ate up the first seven fat cattle,
És fölfalták a sovány és rút tehenek az első hét tehenet, a kövéreket;
21 and when they had eaten them up, it couldn’t be known that they had eaten them, but they were still ugly, as at the beginning. So I awoke.
és bejutottak belsejükbe, de nem ismerszett meg, hogy bejutottak belsejükbe, és ábrázatuk oly rút volt, mint kezdetben; erre fölébredtem.
22 I saw in my dream, and behold, seven heads of grain came up on one stalk, full and good:
Azután láttam álmomban, íme, hét kalász terem egy száron, teliek és szépek.
23 and behold, seven heads of grain, withered, thin, and blasted with the east wind, sprung up after them.
És íme, hét kalász, aszott, vékony, a keleti széltől elperzselve nő utánuk;
24 The thin heads of grain swallowed up the seven good heads of grain. I told it to the magicians, but there was no one who could explain it to me.”
és elnyelték a vékony kalászok a hét szép kalászt. És elmondtam az írástudóknak, de nincs, aki megmagyarázza nekem.
25 Joseph [May he add] said to Pharaoh, “The dream of Pharaoh is one. What God is about to do he has declared to Pharaoh.
És mondta József Fáraónak: Fáraó álma egy; amit Isten tesz, tudtára adta Fáraónak.
26 The seven good cattle are seven years; and the seven good heads of grain are seven years. The dream is one.
A hét szép tehén, az hét év, a hét szép kalász az hét év; az álom egy.
27 The seven thin and ugly cattle that came up after them are seven years, and also the seven empty heads of grain blasted with the east wind; they will be seven years of famine.
És a hét sovány és rút tehén, mely utánuk följött, az hét év, meg a hét üres kalász, a keleti széltől perzselve – lesz az éhség hét éve.
28 That is the thing which I spoke to Pharaoh. What God is about to do he has shown to Pharaoh.
Ez az, amit mondtam Fáraónak; amit Isten tesz, azt megmutatta Fáraónak.
29 Behold, there come seven years of great plenty throughout all the land of Egypt [Abode of slavery].
Íme, hét év jön, nagy bőség lesz Egyiptom egész országában.
30 There will arise after them seven years of famine, and all the plenty will be forgotten in the land of Egypt [Abode of slavery]. The famine will consume the land,
De támad majd az éhség hét éve utánuk, úgy, hogy elfelejtik az egész bőséget Egyiptom országában; és fölemészti az éhség az országot.
31 and the plenty will not be known in the land by reason of that famine which follows; for it will be very grievous.
És nem ismerszik majd meg a bőség az országban azon éhség miatt, azután, mert igen nyomasztó lesz az.
32 The dream was doubled to Pharaoh, because the thing is established by God, and God will shortly bring it to pass.
Hogy pedig az álom megismétlődött Fáraónál, kétszer, mivel meg van állapítva a dolog az Istentől és siet az Isten, hogy megtegye.
33 “Now therefore let Pharaoh look for a discreet and wise man, and set him over the land of Egypt [Abode of slavery].
Most tehát szemeljen ki Fáraó értelmes és bölcs férfit és tegye őt Egyiptom országa fölé.
34 Let Pharaoh do this, and let him appoint overseers over the land, and take up the fifth part of the land of Egypt [Abode of slavery]’s produce in the seven plenteous years.
Tegye meg Fáraó, hogy rendeljen felügyelőket az ország fölé, és szedjen ötödöt Egyiptom országában a bőség hét évében.
35 Let them gather all the food of these good years that come, and lay up grain under the hand of Pharaoh for food in the cities, and let them keep it.
És gyűjtsék össze minden eleségét a jó éveknek, ezeknek a jövendőknek; halmozzanak föl gabonát Fáraó keze alatt, eleségül a városokban és őrizzék meg.
36 The food will be for a store to the land against the seven years of famine, which will be in the land of Egypt [Abode of slavery]; that the land not perish through the famine.”
És legyen az eleség őrizetül az ország számára az éhség hét évére, amelyek lesznek Egyiptom országában, hogy el ne vesszen az ország az éhség miatt.
37 The thing was good in the eyes of Pharaoh, and in the eyes of all his servants.
És jónak tetszett a dolog Fáraó szemeiben és összes szolgái szemeiben;
38 Pharaoh said to his servants, “Can we find such a one as this, a man in whom is the breath mind Spirit of God?”
és mondta Fáraó szolgáinak: Találhatunk-e ilyet mint ez, férfiút, akiben Isten szelleme van?
39 Pharaoh said to Joseph [May he add], “Because God has shown you all of this, there is no one so discreet and wise as you.
És mondta Fáraó Józsefnek: Miután Isten tudatta veled mindezt, nincs olyan értelmes és bölcs, mint te.
40 You shall be over my house, and according to your word will all my people be ruled. Only in the throne I will be greater than you.”
Te legyél házam fölött és parancsodhoz alkalmazkodjék egész népem; csak a trónnal leszek nagyobb nálad.
41 Pharaoh said to Joseph [May he add], “Behold, I have set you over all the land of Egypt [Abode of slavery].”
És mondta Fáraó Józsefnek: Lásd, én tettelek téged Egyiptom egész országa fölé.
42 Pharaoh took off his signet ring from his hand, and put it on Joseph [May he add]’s hand, and arrayed him in robes of fine linen, and put a gold chain about his neck,
És lehúzta Fáraó a gyűrűjét kezéről és rátette azt József kezére, felöltöztette őt bisszusruhába és tette az arany láncot a nyakába.
43 and he made him to ride in the second chariot which he had. They cried before him, “Bow the knee!” He set him over all the land of Egypt [Abode of slavery].
És meghordoztatta őt másodrendű kocsijában és kiáltották előtte: Ávréch! Így tette őt Egyiptom egész országa fölé.
44 Pharaoh said to Joseph [May he add], “I am Pharaoh, and without you shall no man lift up his hand or his foot in all the land of Egypt [Abode of slavery].”
És mondta Fáraó Józsefnek: Én vagyok Fáraó, de nálad nélkül ne emelje föl senki se kezét, se lábát Egyiptom egész országában.
45 Pharaoh called Joseph [May he add]’s name Zaphenath-Paneah; and he gave him Asenath, the daughter of Potiphera priest of On as a wife. Joseph [May he add] went out over the land of Egypt [Abode of slavery].
És elnevezte Fáraó Józsefet Cofnász-Pánéáchnak, és nekiadta Osznászt, Pótifera, Ón papjának leányát feleségül; és József kiment Egyiptom földjére.
46 Joseph [May he add] was thirty years old when he stood before Pharaoh king of Egypt [Abode of slavery]. Joseph [May he add] went out from the presence of Pharaoh, and went throughout all the land of Egypt [Abode of slavery].
József pedig harminc éves volt, midőn állt Fáraó, Egyiptom királya előtt; és kiment József Fáraó színe elől és bejárta Egyiptom egész országát.
47 In the seven plenteous years the earth produced abundantly.
És termett a föld a bőség hét évében tele marokkal.
48 He gathered up all the food of the seven years which were in the land of Egypt [Abode of slavery], and laid up the food in the cities: the food of the field, which was around every city, he laid up in the same.
És ő összegyűjtötte mind az eleségét a hét évnek, mely Egyiptom országában volt és eltett eleséget a városokba; eleségét a város mezejének, mely körülötte volt, betette abba.
49 Joseph [May he add] laid up grain as the sand of the sea, very much, until he stopped counting, for it was without number.
És fölhalmozott József gabonát, mint a tenger fövenye, igen sokat, amíg nem fölhagyott, hogy számba vegye, mert nem volt száma.
50 To Joseph [May he add] were born two sons before the year of famine came, whom Asenath, the daughter of Potiphera priest of On, bore to him.
Józsefnek pedig született két fia, mielőtt elérkezett az éhség éve, akiket szült neki Osznász, Pótifera, Ón papjának a leánya.
51 Joseph [May he add] called the name of the firstborn Manasseh [Causing to forget], “For,” he said, “God has made me forget all my toil, and all my father’s house.”
És elnevezte József az elsőszülöttet Menássénak: mert elfelejtette velem Isten minden bajomat és atyám egész házát.
52 The name of the second, he called Ephraim [Fruit]: “For God has made me fruitful in the land of my affliction.”
A másodikat pedig elnevezte Efráimnak: mert megszaporított engem nyomorúságom földjén.
53 The seven years of plenty, that were in the land of Egypt [Abode of slavery], came to an end.
És véget ért a bőség hét éve, mely volt Egyiptomban.
54 The seven years of famine began to come, just as Joseph [May he add] had said. There was famine in all lands, but in all the land of Egypt [Abode of slavery] there was bread.
És kezdett az éhség hét éve bekövetkezni, amint mondta József; éhség volt minden országban, Egyiptom egész országában pedig volt kenyér.
55 When all the land of Egypt [Abode of slavery] was famished, the people cried to Pharaoh for bread, and Pharaoh said to all the Egyptians [people from Abode of slavery], “Go to Joseph [May he add]. What he says to you, do.”
Majd éhezett Egyiptom egész országa és a nép kiáltott Fáraóhoz kenyérért; Fáraó pedig mondta egész Egyiptomnak: Menjetek Józsefhez, amit ő fog nektek mondani, azt tegyétek.
56 The famine was over all the surface of the earth. Joseph [May he add] opened all the store houses, and sold to the Egyptians [people from Abode of slavery]. The famine was severe in the land of Egypt [Abode of slavery].
Az éhség pedig volt az ország egész színén; akkor megnyitotta József mindazokat (a tárakat), amelyekben volt és eladott gabonát Egyiptomnak; az éhség pedig erősbödött Egyiptom országában.
57 All countries came into Egypt [Abode of slavery], to Joseph [May he add], to buy grain, because the famine was severe in all the earth.
És az egész föld eljött Egyiptomba gabonát venni Józsefhez, mert erős volt az éhség az egész földön.
