< Genesis 13 >

1 Avram [Exalted father] went up out of Egypt [Abode of slavery]— he, his wife, all that he had, and Lot [Veil, Covering] with him— into the South.
Pimmanaw ngarud ni Abram iti Egipto ket napan idiay Negeb, isuna, ti asawana ken amin nga adda kenkuana. Kimmuyog met kadakuada ni Lot.
2 Avram [Exalted father] was very rich in livestock, in silver, and in gold.
Ita, nabaknang unay ni Abram kadagiti ayup, iti pirak, ken iti balitok.
3 He went on his journeys from the South even to Beth-el [House of God], to the place where his tent had been at the beginning, between Beth-el [House of God] and Ai,
Intultuloyna ti panagdaliasatna manipud Negeb agingga idiay Betel, iti lugar nga ayan idi ti toldana, iti nagbaetan ti Betel ken Ai.
4 to the place of the altar, which he had made there at the first. There Avram [Exalted father] called on Adonai’s name.
Daytoy a lugar idi ti nangbangonanna iti altar, ken ditoy isuna nga immawag iti nagan ni Yahweh.
5 Lot [Veil, Covering] also, who went with Avram [Exalted father], had flocks, herds, and tents.
Ita, ni Lot, nga agdaldalliasat a kadua ni Abram ket addaan met kadagiti arban, bakbaka ken kadagiti tolda.
6 The land was not able to bear them, that they might live together; for their substance was great, so that they could not live together.
Saanen a makaanay ti daga a mangipaay iti pagbiaganda ta aginnasidegda a dua, gapu ta adu unay dagiti sanikuada, isu a saanda a mabalin nga agkuyog.
7 There was strife between the herdsmen of Avram [Exalted father]’s livestock and the herdsmen of Lot [Veil, Covering]’s livestock. The Canaanites [Descendants of Humbled] and the Perizzites [Descendants of Belonging to village] lived in the land at that time.
Maysa pay, adda rimsua a panagsisinnuppiat iti nagbaetan dagiti agpaspastor kadagiti ayup ni Abram ken agpaspastor kadagiti ayup ni Lot. Iti dayta a tiempo, agnanaed iti dayta a daga dagiti Cananeo ken dagiti Perezeo.
8 Avram [Exalted father] said to Lot [Veil, Covering], “Please, let there be no strife between you and me, and between your herdsmen and my herdsmen; for we are relatives.
Isu a kinuna ni Abram kenni Lot, “Awan koma iti panagsinnuppiat iti nagbaetanta, ken iti nagbaetan dagiti parapastormo ken dagiti parapastorko, ta maymaysa ta laeng a pamilia.
9 Is not the whole land before you? Please separate yourself from me. If you go to the left hand, then I will go to the right. Or if you go to the right hand, then I will go to the left.”
Saan aya nga adda iti sangoanam ti isuamin a daga? Mapanka ket suminaka kaniak. No mapanka iti kannigid, mapanakto iti kannawan. Wenno no mapanka iti kannawan, mapanakto met iti kannigid.”
10 Lot [Veil, Covering] lifted up his eyes, and saw all the plain of the Jordan [Descender], that it was well-watered everywhere, before Adonai destroyed Sodom [Burning] and Gomorrah [Rebellious people, Tyrants], like the garden of Adonai, like the land of Egypt [Abode of slavery], as you go to Zoar [Small].
Isu a kimmita ni Lot iti aglawlaw, ken nakitana nga iti kabuklan ti kapatadan ti Jordan ket nasayaat ti pannakapadanumna iti sadinoman agingga idiay Zoar, kas iti minuyongan ni Yahweh, kas iti daga ti Egipto. Daytoy ket sakbay a dinadael ni Yahweh ti Sodoma ken Gomorra.
11 So Lot [Veil, Covering] chose the Plain of the Jordan [Descender] for himself. Lot [Veil, Covering] traveled east, and they separated themselves the one from the other.
Isu a pinili ni Lot a para kenkuanna ti kapatadan ti Jordan ket nagdalliasat a napan iti daya, ket nagsina ngarud dagiti agkabagian.
12 Avram [Exalted father] lived in the land of Canaan [Humbled], and Lot [Veil, Covering] lived in the 'Ieyr HaKikar [Cities of the Round], and moved his tent as far as Sodom [Burning].
Nagnaed ni Abram iti daga ti Canaan, ket nagnaed ni Lot kadagiti siudad iti kapatadan. Impatakderna dagiti toldana idiay Sodoma.
13 Now the men of Sodom [Burning] were exceedingly wicked and sinners against Adonai.
Ita, nakaro unay ti kinamanagbasol dagiti lallaki iti Sodoma maibusor kenni Yahweh.
14 Adonai said to Avram [Exalted father], after Lot [Veil, Covering] was separated from him, “Now, lift up your eyes, and look from the place where you are, northward and southward and eastward and westward,
Kinuna ni Yahweh kenni Abram kalpasan a simmina ni Lot kenkuana, “Manipud iti disso a pagtaktakderam, kumitaka iti amianan, iti abagatan, iti daya, ken iti laud.
15 for all the land which you see, I will give to you, and to your offspring forever.
Amin daytoy a makitkitam a daga, itedkonto kenka ken kadagiti kaputotam iti agnanayon.
16 I will make your offspring as the dust of the earth, so that if a man can count the dust of the earth, then your offspring may also be counted.
Ket paaduekto dagiti kaputotam a kas iti kaadu ti tapuk iti daga, ket no kabaelan a bilangen iti maysa tao ti tapuk iti daga, kastanto met iti pannakabilang dagiti kaputotam.
17 Arise, walk through the land in its length and in its width; for I will give it to you.”
Agsaganaka, pagnaem ti kaatiddog ken kaakaba ti daga, ta itedkonto daytoy kenka.
18 Avram [Exalted father] moved his tent, and came and lived by the oaks of Mamre [Bitter, Fatness], which are in Hebron, and built an altar there to Adonai.
Isunga innala ni Abram ti toldana, ket napan nagnaed iti asideg dagiti kayo a lugo ti Mamre nga adda idiay Hebron, ket nangipatakder sadiay iti altar para kenni Yahweh.
