Exodus 6
1 Adonai said to Moses [Drawn out], “Now you shall see what I will do to Pharaoh, for by a strong hand he shall let them go, and by a strong hand he shall divorce them out of his land.”
Da sa Herren til Moses: Nu skal du se hvad jeg vil gjøre med Farao; ved min sterke hånd skal han tvinges til å la dem fare, ja, ved min sterke hånd tvinges til å drive dem ut av sitt land.
2 God spoke to Moses [Drawn out], and said to him, “I am Adonai;
Og Gud talte til Moses og sa til ham: Jeg er Herren.
3 and I appeared to Abraham [Father of a multitude], to Isaac [Laughter], and to Jacob [Supplanter], as El Shaddai [God Almighty]; but by my name Adonai I was not known to them.
Jeg åpenbarte mig for Abraham, for Isak og for Jakob som den allmektige Gud; men ved mitt navn Herren var jeg ikke kjent av dem.
4 I have also established my covenant ·binding contract between two or more parties· with them, to give them the land of Canaan [Humbled], the land of their travels, in which they lived as aliens.
Og jeg oprettet min pakt med dem, at jeg vilde gi dem Kana'ans land, det land hvor de bodde som fremmede.
5 Moreover I have sh'ma ·heard obeyed· the groaning of the children of Israel [God prevails], whom the Egyptians [people from Abode of slavery] keep in bondage, and I have remembered my covenant.
Og nu har jeg hørt hvorledes Israels barn sukker over at egypterne gjør dem til træler, og jeg har kommet min pakt i hu.
6 Therefore tell the children of Israel [God prevails], ‘I am Adonai, and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians [people from Abode of slavery], and I will rid you out of their bondage, and I will redeem you with an outstretched arm, and with great judgments:
Si derfor til Israels barn: Jeg er Herren, og jeg vil føre eder ut fra egypternes tunge byrder og utfri eder fra trælarbeidet under dem, og jeg vil forløse eder med utrakt arm og ved store straffedommer.
7 and I will take you to be my people, and I will be your God; and you shall know that I am Adonai your God, who brings you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians [people from Abode of slavery].
Og jeg vil ta eder til mitt folk, og jeg vil være eders Gud, og I skal kjenne at jeg er Herren eders Gud, han som fører eder ut fra egypternes tunge byrder.
8 I will bring you into the land which I swore to give to Abraham [Father of a multitude], to Isaac [Laughter], and to Jacob [Supplanter]; and I will give it to you for a heritage: I am Adonai.’”
Og jeg vil føre eder til det land som jeg med opløftet hånd har svoret å ville gi til Abraham, Isak og Jakob, og jeg vil gi eder det til eiendom; jeg er Herren.
9 Moses [Drawn out] spoke so to the children of Israel [God prevails], but they didn’t sh'ma ·hear obey· unto Moses [Drawn out] for anguish of spirit, and for cruel bondage.
Og Moses sa dette til Israels barn; men de hørte ikke på Moses for angst og for det hårde trælarbeids skyld.
10 Adonai spoke to Moses [Drawn out], saying,
Da talte Herren til Moses og sa:
11 “Go in, speak to Pharaoh king of Egypt [Abode of slavery], that he let the children of Israel [God prevails] go out of his land.”
Gå inn og si til Farao, kongen i Egypten, at han skal la Israels barn fare ut av sitt land.
12 Moses [Drawn out] spoke before Adonai, saying, “Behold, the children of Israel [God prevails] haven’t sh'ma ·heard obeyed· unto me. How then shall Pharaoh listen to me, who am of uncircumcised lips?”
Og Moses tok således til orde, der han stod for Herrens åsyn: Du ser Israels barn hører ikke på mig; hvorledes skulde da Farao høre på mig, jeg som enda har uomskårne leber?
13 Adonai spoke to Moses [Drawn out] and to Aaron [Light-bringer], and gave them an enjoinment to the children of Israel [God prevails], and to Pharaoh king of Egypt [Abode of slavery], to bring the children of Israel [God prevails] out of the land of Egypt [Abode of slavery].
Da talte Herren til Moses og Aron og sendte dem til Israels barn og til Farao, kongen i Egypten, med pålegg om at Israels barn skulde føres ut av Egyptens land.
14 These are the heads of their fathers’ houses. The sons of Reuben [See, a son!] the firstborn of Israel [God prevails]: Hanoch, and Pallu, Hezron, and Carmi; these are the families of Reuben [See, a son!].
Dette er overhodene for deres familier: Sønnene til Ruben, Israels førstefødte, var Hanok og Pallu, Hesron og Karmi; dette er Rubens ætter.
15 The sons of Simeon [Hearing]: Jemuel, and Jamin, and Ohad, and Jachin, and Zohar, and Shaul [Asked for] the son of a Canaanite [Descendant of Humbled] woman; these are the families of Simeon [Hearing].
Simeons sønner var Jemuel og Jamin og Ohad og Jakin og Sohar og Saul, som var sønn av en Kana'anitterkvinne; dette er Simeons ætter.
16 These are the names of the sons of Levi [United with] according to their generations: Gershon, and Kohath, and Merari; and the years of the life of Levi [United with] were one hundred thirty-seven years.
Og dette er navnene på Levis sønner efter deres ætter: Gerson og Kahat og Merari; og Levi blev hundre og syv og tretti år gammel.
17 The sons of Gershon: Libni and Shimei, according to their families.
Gersons sønner var Libni og Sime'i efter deres ætter.
18 The sons of Kohath: Amram, and Izhar, and Hebron, and Uzziel; and the years of the life of Kohath were one hundred thirty-three years.
Kahats sønner var Amram og Jishar og Hebron og Ussiel; og Kahat blev hundre og tre og tretti år gammel.
19 The sons of Merari: Mahli and Mushi. These are the families of the Levites [Descendants of United with] according to their generations.
Meraris sønner var Mahli og Musi. Dette er Levis ætter efter deres ættetavle.
20 Amram took Jochebed his father’s sister to himself as wife; and she bore him Aaron [Light-bringer] and Moses [Drawn out]: and the years of the life of Amram were one hundred and thirty-seven years.
Amram tok Jokebed, sin fars søster, til hustru, og med henne fikk han Aron og Moses; og Amram blev hundre og syv og tretti år gammel.
21 The sons of Izhar: Korach [Bald one, Frost], and Nepheg, and Zichri.
Jishars sønner var Korah og Nefeg og Sikri.
22 The sons of Uzziel: Mishael, and Elzaphan, and Sithri.
Ussiels sønner var Misael og Elsafan og Sitri.
23 Aaron [Light-bringer] took Elisheba, the daughter of Amminadab, the sister of Nahshon, as his wife; and she bore him Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar [Help of God] and Ithamar.
Aron tok Eliseba, Amminadabs datter, Nahsons søster, til hustru, og med henne fikk han Nadab og Abihu, Eleasar og Itamar.
24 The sons of Korach [Bald one, Frost]: Assir, and Elkanah, and Abiasaph; these are the families of the Korahites.
Korahs sønner var Assir og Elkana og Abiasaf; dette er korahittenes ætter.
25 Eleazar [Help of God] Aaron [Light-bringer]’s son took one of the daughters of Putiel as his wife; and she bore him Pinchas [Bronze skin]. These are the heads of the fathers’ houses of the Levites [Descendants of United with] according to their families.
Eleasar, Arons sønn, tok en av Putiels døtre til hustru, og med henne fikk han Pinehas. Dette var overhodene for levittenes familier efter deres ætter.
26 These are that Aaron [Light-bringer] and Moses [Drawn out], to whom Adonai said, “Bring out the children of Israel [God prevails] from the land of Egypt [Abode of slavery] according to their armies.”
Disse menn, Aron og Moses, var det Herren talte således til: Før Israels barn ut av Egyptens land, hær for hær!
27 These are those who spoke to Pharaoh king of Egypt [Abode of slavery], to bring out the children of Israel [God prevails] from Egypt [Abode of slavery]. These are that Moses [Drawn out] and Aaron [Light-bringer].
Det var de som sa til Farao, kongen i Egypten, at Israels barn skulde føres ut av Egypten, disse menn, Moses og Aron.
28 On the day when Adonai spoke to Moses [Drawn out] in the land of Egypt [Abode of slavery],
Og det skjedde dengang Herren talte til Moses i Egyptens land,
29 Adonai spoke to Moses [Drawn out], saying, “I am Adonai. Speak to Pharaoh king of Egypt [Abode of slavery] all that I speak to you.”
da sa Herren til Moses: Jeg er Herren; tal til Farao, kongen i Egypten, alt det jeg taler til dig.
30 Moses [Drawn out] said before Adonai, “Behold, I am of uncircumcised lips, and how shall Pharaoh sh'ma ·hear obey· unto me?”
Men Moses sa, der han stod for Herrens åsyn: Du vet jeg har uomskårne leber; hvorledes skulde da Farao høre på mig?
