Exodus 10
1 Adonai said to Moses [Drawn out], “Go in to Pharaoh, for I have hardened his heart, and the heart of his servants, that I may show these my signs among them,
परमप्रभुले मोशालाई भन्नुभयो, “फारोकहाँ जा किनकि मैले त्यसको र त्यसका अधिकारीहरूका ह्रदय कठोर बनाइदिएको छु । तिनीहरूका बिचमा मेरो शक्तिका यी चिन्हहरू देखाउनलाई मैले यसो गरेको हुँ ।
2 and that you may tell in the hearing of your son, and of your son’s son, what things I have done to Egypt [Abode of slavery], and my signs which I have done among them; that you may know that I am Adonai.”
मैले गरेका कुराहरू, मैले मिश्रलाई कसरी कठोरतापूर्वक व्यवहार गरेँ र तिनीहरूका बिचमा मेरो शक्तिका विभिन्न चिन्हहरू कसरी देखाएँ भनी तैँले तेरा छोराछोरीहरू र नातिनातिनाहरूलाई बताउनेछस् भनेर पनि मैले यसो गरेको हुँ । यसरी म परमप्रभु हुँ भनी तैँले जान्नेछस् ।”
3 Moses [Drawn out] and Aaron [Light-bringer] went in to Pharaoh, and said to him, “This is what Adonai, the God of the Hebrews [Immigrants], says: ‘How long will you refuse to humble yourself before me? Let my people go, that they may abad ·serve· me.
त्यसैले मोशा र हारून फारोकहाँ गए र भने, “हिब्रूहरूका परमप्रभु परमेश्वर यसो भन्नुहुन्छः मेरो सामु आफैलाई विनम्र पार्न कहिलेसम्म अस्वीकार गर्छस्? मेरो आराधना गर्न मेरा मानिसहरूलाई जान दे ।
4 Or else, if you refuse to let my people go, behold, tomorrow I will bring locusts into your country,
तैँले मेरा मानिसहरूलाई जान दिन इन्कार गरिस् भने सुन्, भोलि म तेरो देशमा सलहहरू ल्याउनेछु ।
5 and they shall cover the surface of the earth, so that one won’t be able to see the earth. They shall eat the residue of that which has escaped, which remains to you from the hail, and shall eat every tree which grows for you out of the field.
कसैले जमिनलाई देख्न नसक्ने गरी तिनीहरूले भुइँलाई ढाक्नेछन् । असिनाबाट बचेर रहेका कुनै पनि चिज तिनीहरूले खाइदिनेछन् । खेतमा उम्रने हरेक रुखलाई पनि तिनीहरूले खाइदिनेछन् ।
6 Your houses shall be filled, and the houses of all your servants, and the houses of all the Egyptians [people from Abode of slavery]; as neither your fathers nor your fathers’ fathers have seen, since the day that they were on the earth to this day.’” He turned, and went out from Pharaoh.
तिनीहरू तेरा, तेरा सबै अधिकारीसाथै सबै मिश्रीका घरहरूमा भरिनेछन् । यस्तो तिमीहरूका बुबा र हजुर बुबाहरूले पृथ्वीको स्थापना भएदेखि आजको दिनसम्म कहिल्यै देखेका छैनन्' ।” त्यसपछि मोशा फारोकहाँबाट निस्केर गए ।
7 Pharaoh’s servants said to him, “How long will this man be a snare to us? Let the men go, that they may abad ·serve· Adonai, their God. Don’t you yet know that Egypt [Abode of slavery] is destroyed?”
फारोका अधिकारीहरूले तिनलाई भने, “कहिलेसम्म यो मानिसले हामीलाई धम्की दिने? तिनीहरूका परमप्रभु परमेश्वरलाई आराधना गर्न इस्राएलीहरूलाई जान दिनुहोस् । मिश्र नष्ट भएको के हजुरले देख्नुभएको छैन र?”
8 Moses [Drawn out] and Aaron [Light-bringer] were brought again to Pharaoh, and he said to them, “Go, abad ·serve· Adonai your God; but who are those who will go?”
मोशा र हारून फेरि पनि फारोकहाँ ल्याइए । फारोले तिनीहरूलाई भने, “तिमीहरूका परमप्रभु परमेश्वरको आराधना गर्न जाओ । तर जानेहरूचाहिँ को-को हुनेछन्?”
9 Moses [Drawn out] said, “We will go with our young and with our old; with our sons and with our daughters, with our flocks and with our herds will we go; for we must hold a feast to Adonai.”
मोशाले भने, “हामी हाम्रा छोराछोरीहरू, बुढाबुढीहरू लिएर जानेछौँ । हामीले हाम्रा गाईवस्तु र भेडा-बाख्राहरू लिएर जानेछौँ किनकि हामीले परमप्रभुको निम्ति चाड मनाउनुपर्छ ।”
10 He said to them, “Adonai be with you if I will let you go with your little ones! See, evil is clearly before your faces.
फारोले तिनीहरूलाई भने, “मैले तिमीहरू र तिमीहरूका सन्तानहरूलाई जान दिएँ भने वास्तवमा परमप्रभु तिमीहरूसँगै होऊन् । हेर, तिमीहरूको मनमा कुनै दुष्टता छ ।
11 Not so! Go now you who are men, and abad ·serve· Adonai; for that is what you desire!” They were divorced from Pharaoh’s presence.
तिमीहरूमा बिचमा भएका पुरुषहरू मात्र गएर परमप्रभुको आराधना गरून् किनकि तिमीहरूले चाहेको यही नै हो ।” त्यसपछि मोशा र हारूनलाई फारोको उपस्थितिबाट हटाइयो ।
12 Adonai said to Moses [Drawn out], “Stretch out your hand over the land of Egypt [Abode of slavery] for the locusts, that they may come up on the land of Egypt [Abode of slavery], and eat every herb of the land, even all that the hail has left.”
तब परमप्रभुले मोशालाई भन्नुभयो, “सलहहरू मिश्र देशमा आऊन् भनी तेरो हात पसार् । असिनाको आक्रमणबाट बाँकी रहेका मिश्र देशका हरेक थोकमाथि तिनीहरूले आक्रमण गरून् ।”
13 Moses [Drawn out] stretched out his rod over the land of Egypt [Abode of slavery], and Adonai brought an east wind on the land all that day, and all night; and when it was morning, the east wind brought the locusts.
मोशाले आफ्नो लट्ठी मिश्र देशमाथि पसारे अनि परमप्रभुले दिनरात समस्त देशमा पूर्वीय बतास चलाइदिनुभयो । बिहान हुँदा पूर्वीय बतासले सलहहरू ल्याएको थियो ।
14 The locusts went up over all the land of Egypt [Abode of slavery], and rested in all the borders of Egypt [Abode of slavery]. They were very grievous. Before them there were no such locusts as they, nor will there ever be again.
सलहहरू मिश्र देशभरि गए र यसका सबै भू-भागमा हुल-हुल भएर बसे । त्यस देशमा सलहहरूको यस्तो हुल कहिल्यै देखा परेको थिएन र यसपछि पनि यस्तो कहिल्यै हुनेछैन ।
15 For they covered the surface of the whole earth, so that the land was darkened, and they ate every herb of the land, and all the fruit of the trees which the hail had left. There remained nothing green, either tree or herb of the field, through all the land of Egypt [Abode of slavery].
पुरै अन्धकार हुने गरी तिनीहरूले पुरै देशको सतहलाई ढाके । असिनाले नष्ट गरेर छाडेका रुखहरूका सबै फल र खेतका सबै बोट-बिरुवा तिनीहरूले खाइदिए । मिश्र देशभरि कुनै जीवित हरियो बिरुवा बाँकी रहेन न त खेतमा नै कुनै रुख-बिरुवा बाँकी रह्यो ।
16 Then Pharaoh called for Moses [Drawn out] and Aaron [Light-bringer] in haste, and he said, “I have sinned ·deviated (from the standard goal)· against Adonai your God, and against you.
त्यसपछि फारोले झट्टै मोशा र हारूनलाई डाक्न पठाए र भने, “मैले तिमीहरूका परमेश्वर र तिमीहरूको विरुद्धमा पाप गरेको छु ।
17 Now therefore please forgive my habitual sin ·missing the mark· again, and pray to Adonai your God, that he may also take away from me this death.”
अब यस पल्ट मेरो पाप क्षमा गरिदेऊ र मबाट यस मृत्युलाई लगियोस् भनी तिमीहरूका परमप्रभु परमेश्वरसित बिन्ती चढाइदेओ ।”
18 He went out from Pharaoh, and prayed to Adonai.
त्यसैले मोशा फारोकहाँबाट गए र परमप्रभुलाई बिन्ती चढाए ।
19 Adonai turned an exceeding strong west wind, which took up the locusts, and drove them into the Sea of Suf [Reed Sea]. There remained not one locust in all the borders of Egypt [Abode of slavery].
परमप्रभुले निकै शक्तिशाली पश्चिमी बतास चलाइदिनुभयो जसले सलहहरूलाई उडाई लाल समुद्रमा लग्यो । मिश्रका इलाकाभित्र एउटै पनि सलह रहेन ।
20 But Adonai hardened Pharaoh’s heart, and he didn’t let the children of Israel [God prevails] go.
तर परमप्रभुले फारोको ह्रदय कठोर बनाइदिनुभयो र तिनले इस्राएलीहरूलाई जान दिएनन् ।
21 Adonai said to Moses [Drawn out], “Stretch out your hand toward the sky, that there may be darkness over the land of Egypt [Abode of slavery], even darkness which may be felt.”
त्यसपछि परमप्रभुले मोशालाई भन्नुभयो, “आकाशतिर तेरो हात पसार् अनि मिश्र देशभरि महसुस गर्न सकिने अन्धकार होस् ।”
22 Moses [Drawn out] stretched out his hand toward the sky, and there was a thick darkness in all the land of Egypt [Abode of slavery] for three days.
मोशाले आफ्नो हात आकाशतिर पसारे र मिश्र देशभरि तिन दिनसम्म निस्पट्ट अन्धकार छायो ।
23 They didn’t see one another, and nobody rose from his place for three days; but all the children of Israel [God prevails] had light in their dwellings.
कसैले कसैलाई देख्न सक्दैनथ्यो । तिन दिनसम्म कोही पनि आफ्नो घरबाहिर निस्केन । तर सबै इस्राएली बसेको ठाउँमा भने उज्यालै थियो ।
24 Pharaoh called to Moses [Drawn out], and said, “Go, abad ·serve· Adonai. Only let your flocks and your herds stay behind. Let your little ones also go with you.”
फारोले मोशालाई बोलाउन पठाए र भने, “गएर परमप्रभुको आराधना गर । तिमीहरूका परिवारहरू पनि तिमीहरूसँगै जान सक्नेछन्, तर तिमीहरूका गाईवस्तु र भेडा-बाख्राहरूलाई भने यहीँ छाड ।”
25 Moses [Drawn out] said, “You must also give into our hand sacrifices and burnt offerings, that we may sacrifice to Yahweh Eloheikhem [Yahweh our God].
तर मोशाले भने, “हाम्रा परमप्रभु परमेश्वरलाई बलिदान चढाउन तपाईंले हामीलाई बलिदान र होमबलिको निम्ति पशुहरू पनि दिनुपर्छ ।
26 Our livestock also shall go with us. Not a hoof shall be left behind, for of it we must take to serve Yahweh Eloheikhem [Yahweh our God]; and we don’t know with what we must serve Adonai, until we come there.”
हाम्रा गाईवस्तु पनि हामीसितै जानुपर्छ । तिनीहरूका खुर पनि छोडिनुहुँदैन किनकि हाम्रा परमप्रभु परमेश्वरको आराधना गर्न हामीले तिनलाई लैजानैपर्छ । किनकि हामी त्यहाँ नपुगेसम्म हामीले परमप्रभुलाई के-के चढाएर आराधना गर्ने भनी हामीलाई थाहा हुँदैन ।”
27 But Adonai hardened Pharaoh’s heart, and he wouldn’t let them go.
तर परमप्रभुले फारोको ह्रदय कठोर पारिदिनुभयो र तिनले तिनीहरूलाई जान दिएनन् ।
28 Pharaoh said to him, “Get away from me! Be careful to see my face no more; for in the day you see my face you shall die!”
फारोले मोशालाई भने, “मबाट जाऊ! एउटा कुराको बारेमा होसियार होऊ । अबदेखि मेरो सामु देख नपर किनकि मेरो अनुहार देखेको दिनमा तिमी मर्नेछौ ।”
29 Moses [Drawn out] said, “You have spoken well. I will see your face again no more.”
मोशाले भने, “तपाईंले भन्नुभएझैँ होस् । म फेरि तपाईंको अनुहार हेर्नेछैनँ ।”
