Deuteronomy 5
1 Moses [Drawn out] called to all Israel [God prevails], and said to them, “Sh'ma ·Hear obey·, Israel [God prevails], the statutes and the judgments which I speak in your ears today, that you may learn them, and observe to do them.”
Mózes szólította egész Izraelt és mondta nekik: Halljad Izrael a törvényeket és a rendeleteket, amelyeket én elmondok füleitek hallatára ma; tanuljátok meg azokat és őrizzétek meg, hogy megtegyétek.
2 Yahweh Eloheikhem [Yahweh our God] made a covenant with us in Horeb [Desert].
Az Örökkévaló, a mi Istenünk szövetséget kötött velünk Chóreben.
3 Adonai didn’t make this covenant with our fathers, but with us, even us, who are all of us here alive today.
Nem (csak) atyáinkkal kötötte az Örökkévaló ezt a szövetséget, hanem velünk (is), kik mi itt vagyunk ma, mindnyájan életben.
4 Adonai spoke with you face to face on the mountain out of the middle of the fire,
Színről színre szólt az Örökkévaló veletek a hegyen, a tűz közül,
5 (I stood between Adonai and you at that time, to show you Adonai’s word; for you were afraid because of the fire, and didn’t go up onto the mountain) saying,
– én álltam az Örökkévaló közt és ti köztetek abban az időben, hogy kijelentsem nektek az Örökkévaló szavát, mert ti féltetek a tűztől és nem mentetek föl a hegyre, – mondván:
6 “I am Yahweh [He sustains breathing] your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt [Abode of slavery], out of the house of bondage.
Én vagyok az Örökkévaló, a te Istened, aki kivezettelek téged Egyiptom országából, a rabszolgák házából.
7 “You shall have no other deities before me.
Ne legyenek neked más isteneid az én színem előtt.
8 “You shall not make an engraved image for yourself, any likeness of what is in heaven above, or what is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.
Ne csinálj magadnak faragott képet, bármely alakját annak, ami az égben van fönt és ami a földön van alant és ami a vízben van a föld alatt.
9 You shall not hawa ·bow low, prostrate· yourself down to them, nor abad ·serve· them; for I, Yahweh [He sustains breathing], your God, am El Kana' [Jealous God], visiting the depravity (moral evil) of the fathers on the children, and on the third and on the fourth generation of those who hate me;
Ne borulj le előttük és ne szolgáld azokat; mert én az Örökkévaló, a te Istened, buzgó Isten vagyok, aki megbüntetem az atyák vétkét a gyermekekben harmad- és negyedíziglen, akik engem gyűlölnek;
10 and showing chesed ·loving-kindness· to thousands of those who 'ahav ·affectionately love· me and keep my mitzvot ·instructions·.
de szeretetet gyakorlok ezeríziglen azokkal, akik engem szeretnek és megőrzik parancsolataimat.
11 “You shall not use את the name of Adonai your God worthlessly: for Adonai את will not hold him guiltless who takes את his name in vain.
Ne ejtsd ki az Örökkévaló, a te Istened nevét hiába, mert nem hagyja büntetlenül az Örökkévaló azt, aki kiejti az ő nevét hiába.
12 “Observe the Shabath ·Intermission· day, to keep it holy, as Adonai your God enjoined you.
Őrizd meg a szombat napját, hogy megszenteljed, amint megparancsolta neked az Örökkévaló, a te Istened.
13 You shall labor six days, and do all your work;
Hat napon át dolgozzál és végezd minden munkádat;
14 but the seventh day is a Shabath ·Intermission· to Adonai your God, in which you shall not do any work, you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your ox, nor your donkey, nor any of your livestock, nor your stranger who is within your gates; that your male servant and your female servant may rest as well as you.
de a hetedik nap szombatja az Örökkévalónak, a te Istenednek; ne végezz semmi munkát, se te, se fiad, se leányod, se szolgád, se szolgálód, se ökröd, se szamarad és semmiféle barmod, se az idegened, aki kapuidban van, hogy nyugodjék szolgád és szolgálód, mint tenmagad.
15 You shall remember that you were a servant in the land of Egypt [Abode of slavery], and Adonai your God brought you out of there by a mighty hand and by an outstretched arm. Therefore Adonai your God enjoined you to keep the Shabath ·Intermission· day.
Emlékezzél meg arról, hogy rabszolga voltál Egyiptom országában, de kivezetett téged onnan az Örökkévaló, a te Istened erős kézzel és kinyújtott karral; azért parancsolta neked az Örökkévaló, a te Istened, hogy megtartsd a szombat napját.
16 “Honor your father and your mother, as Adonai your God enjoined you; that your days may be long, and that it may go well with you, in the land which Adonai your God gives you.
Tiszteld atyádat és anyádat, amint megparancsolta neked az Örökkévaló, a te Istened, hogy hosszú életű légy és hogy jó dolgod legyen a földön, melyet az Örökkévaló, a te Istened ad neked.
17 “You shall not murder.
Ne ölj!
18 “You shall not commit adultery.
Ne törj házasságot!
19 “You shall not steal.
Ne lopj!
20 “You shall not give false witness against your neighbor.
Ne vallj felebarátod ellen mint hamis tanú!
21 “You shall not covet your neighbor’s wife. Neither shall you desire your neighbor’s house, his field, or his male servant, or his female servant, his ox, or his donkey, or anything that is your wrote neighbor’s.”
Ne kívánd meg felebarátod feleségét és ne vágyakozzál felebarátod házára, mezejére, szolgájára, szolgálójára, ökrére, szamarára és semmire, ami felebarátodé!
22 Adonai spoke these words to all your assembly on the mountain out of the middle of the fire, of the cloud, and of the thick darkness, with a great voice. He added no more. He them on two stone tablets, and gave them to me.
Ez igéket mondta az Örökkévaló egész gyülekezeteteknek a hegyen, a tűz, a felhő és a sűrű homály közül fennhangon, de nem többet; és fölírta azokat két kőtáblára és átadta nekem.
23 When you sh'ma ·heard obeyed· the voice out of the middle of the darkness, while the mountain was burning with fire, you came near to me, even all the heads of your tribes, and your elders;
És történt, mikor ti hallottátok a hangot a sötétség közül és a hegy égett a tűzben, akkor odaléptetek hozzám törzseitek minden fejei és véneitek,
24 and you said, “Behold, Yahweh Eloheikhem [Yahweh our God] has shown us his kavod ·weighty glory· and his greatness, and we have sh'ma ·heard obeyed· his voice out of the middle of the fire. We have seen today that God does speak with man, and he lives.
és mondtátok: Íme, megmutatta nekünk az Örökkévaló, a mi Istenünk az ő dicsőségét és nagyságát, hangját pedig hallottuk a tűz közül; ezen a napon láttuk, hogy Isten szól az emberhez és ez életben marad.
25 Now therefore why should we die? For this great fire will consume us. If we sh'ma ·hear obey· Yahweh Eloheikhem [Yahweh our God]’s voice any more, then we shall die.
De most miért haljunk meg? Mert megemészt bennünket ez a nagy tűz; ha még tovább halljuk az Örökkévaló, a mi Istenünk hangját, akkor meghalunk.
26 For who is there of all flesh, that has sh'ma ·heard obeyed· the voice of the Elohim Chayim [Living God] speaking out of the middle of the fire, as we have, and lived?
Mert ki az a halandó, aki hallotta az élő Isten hangját szólani a tűz közül, mint mi és életben maradt?
27 Go near, and sh'ma ·hear obey· all that Yahweh Eloheikhem [Yahweh our God] shall say, and tell us all that Yahweh Eloheikhem [Yahweh our God] tells you; and we will sh'ma ·hear obey· it, and do it.”
Lépj te oda és halljad mindazt, amit mond az Örökkévaló, a mi Istenünk és te mondd el nekünk mindazt, amit szól az Örökkévaló, a mi Istenűnk hozzád, hogy halljuk és megtegyük.
28 Adonai sh'ma ·heard obeyed· the voice of your words, when you spoke to me; and Adonai said to me, “I have sh'ma ·heard obeyed· the voice of the words of this people, which they have spoken to you. They have well said all that they have spoken.
És az Örökkévaló hallotta szavaitok hangját, midőn szóltatok hozzám; és az Örökkévaló mondta nekem; Hallottam a nép szavainak hangját, amellyel szóltak hozzád; jól mondták mindazt, amit szóltak.
29 Oh that there were such a heart in them, that they would fear me, and keep all my mitzvot ·instructions· always, that it might be well with them, and with their children forever!
Vajha ez a szívük maradna nekik, hogy féljenek engem és megőrizzék mind a parancsolataimat minden időben, hogy jó dolguk legyen nekik és fiaiknak örökké.
30 “Go tell them, ‘Teshuvah ·Completely return· to your tents.’
Menj, mondd nekik: Térjetek vissza sátraitokba!
31 But as for you, stand here by me, and I will tell you all the mitzvot ·instructions·, and the statutes, and the judgments, which you shall teach them, that they may do them in the land which I give them to possess it.”
Te pedig állj itt nálam, hadd mondom el neked mind a parancsolatot, a törvényeket és a rendeleteket, amelyekre őket tanítsd, hogy megtegyék az országban, melyet én adok nekik, hogy elfoglalják.
32 You shall observe to do therefore as Adonai your God has enjoined you. You shall not turn aside to the right hand or to the left.
Azért őrizzétek meg, hogy úgy cselekedjetek, amint parancsolta az Örökkévaló, a ti Istenetek nektek, ne térjetek el se jobbra, se baba,
33 You shall walk in all the way which Adonai your God has enjoined you, that you may live, and that it may be well with you, and that you may prolong your days in the land which you shall possess.
Mindazon az úton, melyet parancsolt az Örökkévaló; a ti Istenetek nektek, járjatok, hogy éljetek, jó dolgotok legyen és hosszú ideig maradjatok az országban, melyet elfoglaltok.
