< Deuteronomy 31 >

1 Moses [Drawn out] went and spoke these words to all Israel [God prevails].
Ary Mosesy nandeha, dia nilaza izao teny izao tamin’ ny Isiraely rehetra
2 He said to them, “I am one hundred twenty years old today. I can no more go out and come in. Adonai has said to me, ‘You shall not go over this Jordan [Descender].’
ka nanao taminy hoe: Efa roa-polo amby zato taona androany aho ka tsy afa-mivoaka sy miditra intsony, ary Jehovah efa nilaza tamiko hoe: Tsy hita io Jordana io ianao.
3 Adonai your God himself will go over before you. He will destroy these nations from before you, and you shall dispossess them. Joshua [Salvation Yah] will go over before you, as Adonai has spoken.
Jehovah Andriamanitrao no hita eo alohanao, ary Izy no handringana ireo firenena ireo tsy ho eo anoloanao, ka hahazo ny taniny ianao; ary Josoa no hita eo alohanao, araka izay efa nolazain’ i Jehovah.
4 Adonai will do to them as he did to Sihon and to Og, the kings of the Amorites [Descendants of Talkers], and to their land; whom he destroyed.
Ary Jehovah hanao amin’ ireo tahaka ny nataony tamin’ i Sihona sy Oga, mpanjakan’ ny Amorita, izay naringany, sy tahaka ny nataony tamin’ ny taniny.
5 Adonai will deliver them up before you, and you shall do to them according to all the mitzvot ·instructions· I have enjoined you.
Dia hatolotr’ i Jehovah eo anoloanareo ireo hanaovanareo azy araka ny lalàna rehetra izay nandidiako anareo.
6 Be strong and courageous. Don’t be afraid or scared of them; for Adonai your God himself is who goes with you. He will not fail you nor forsake you.”
Mahereza sy matanjaha; aza matahotra na manahy azy; fa Jehovah Andriamanitrao no miara-mandeha aminao; tsy handao anao na hahafoy anao Izy.
7 Moses [Drawn out] called to Joshua [Salvation Yah], and said to him in the sight of all Israel [God prevails], “Be strong and courageous, for you shall go with this people into the land which Adonai has sworn to their fathers to give them; and you shall cause them to inherit it.
Ary Mosesy niantso an’ i Josoa ka niteny taminy teo imason’ ny Isiraely rehetra hoe: Mahereza sy matanjaha; fa ianao sy ity firenena ity dia hiara-miditra ao amin’ ny tany izay nianianan’ i Jehovah tamin’ ny razany homena azy; ary ianao no hampandova azy izany.
8 Adonai himself is who goes before you. He will be with you. He will not fail you nor forsake you. Don’t be afraid. Don’t be discouraged.”
Ary Jehovah no mandeha eo alohanao; ary Izy no hiaraka aminao; tsy handao anao na hahafoy anao Izy; koa aza matahotra na mivadi-po ianao.
9 Moses [Drawn out] wrote this Torah ·Teaching·, and delivered it to the priests the sons of Levi [United with], who bore the ark of Adonai’s covenant, and to all the elders of Israel [God prevails].
Dia nosoratan’ i Mosesy izany lalàna izany ka natolony ireo mpisorona, taranak’ i Levy, izay mpitondra ny fiaran’ ny faneken’ i Jehovah, sy ny loholon’ ny Isiraely rehetra.
10 Moses [Drawn out] enjoined them, saying, “At the end of every seven years, in the set time of the year of release, in the festival of Sukkot ·Booths·,
Dia nandidy azy Mosesy ka nanao hoe: Isam-pito taona, dia amin’ ny taom-panafahana, amin’ ny andro firavoravoana fitoerana amin’ ny trano rantsan-kazo,
11 when all Israel [God prevails] has come to appear before Adonai your God in the place which he will choose, you shall read this Torah ·Teaching· before all Israel [God prevails] in their hearing.
ka avy hiseho eo anatrehan’ i Jehovah Andriamanitrao eo amin’ ny tany izay hofidiny ny Isiraely rehetra, dia aoka hovakinao eo anatrehan’ ny Isiraely rehetra ny tenin’ ity lalàna ity hihainoany azy.
12 Assemble the people, the men and the women and the little ones, and the foreigners who are within your gates, that they may sh'ma ·hear obey·, and that they may learn, and fear Adonai your God, and observe to do all the words of this Torah ·Teaching·;
Vorio ny vahoaka rehetra, na lehilahy, na vehivavy, na ankizy madinika, na ny vahiny ao an-tanànanao, hihainoany sy hianarany ka hatahorany an’ i Jehovah Andriamanitrao sy hitandremany hanaraka ny teny rehetra amin’ ity lalàna ity.
13 and that their children, who have not known, may sh'ma ·hear obey·, and learn to fear Adonai your God, as long as you live in the land where you go over the Jordan [Descender] to possess it.”
Ary ny zanany koa, izay tsy nahalala, dia handre ka hianatra hatahotra an’ i Jehovah Andriamanitrareo amin’ ny andro rehetra hiainanareo eo amin’ ny tany, izay efa hidiranareo holovana, rehefa tafita an’ i Jordana ianareo.
14 Adonai said to Moses [Drawn out], “Behold, your days approach that you must die. Call Joshua [Salvation Yah], and present yourselves in the Tent of Meeting, that I may enjoin him.” Moses [Drawn out] and Joshua [Salvation Yah] went, and presented themselves in the Tent of Meeting.
Dia hoy Jehovah tamin’ i Mosesy: Indro, antomotra ny andro hahafatesanao; koa miantsoa an’ i Josoa, ary mitoera ao amin’ ny trano-lay fihaonana ianareo mba handidiako azy. Dia nandeha Mosesy sy Josoa ka nitoetra tao amin’ ny trano-lay fihaonana.
15 Adonai appeared in the Tent in a pillar of cloud, and the pillar of cloud stood over the Tent’s door.
Ary Jehovah niseho teo amin’ ny trano-lay tamin’ ny andri-rahona; dia nijanona teo anoloan’ ny varavaran’ ny trano-lay ny andri-rahona.
16 Adonai said to Moses [Drawn out], “Behold, you shall sleep with your fathers. This people will rise up, and play the prostitute after the strange deities of the land, where they go to be among them, and will forsake me, and break my covenant ·binding contract between two or more parties· which I have made with them.
Ary hoy Jehovah tamin’ i Mosesy: Indro fa hodi-mandry any amin’ ny razanao ianao; ary hitsangana ity firenena ity ka hijangajanga hanaraka ny andriamani-kafa any amin’ ny tany izay efa hidirany honenana, dia hahafoy Ahy izy ka hivadika ny fanekeko izay nataoko taminy.
17 Then my anger shall be kindled against them in that day, and I will forsake them, and I will hide my face from them, and they shall be devoured, and many evils and troubles shall come on them; so that they will say in that day, ‘Haven’t these evils come on us because our God is not among us?’
Dia hirehitra aminy ny fahatezerako amin’ izany andro izany, ka hahafoy azy Aho ary hanafina ny tavako aminy, ka ho lany ritra izy, ary loza maro sy fahoriana no hanjo azy; dia hiteny izy amin’ izany andro izany ka hanao hoe: Moa tsy ny tsy itoeran’ Andriamanitro eto amiko va no mahatonga izao fahoriana izao amiko?
18 I will surely hide my face in that day for all the evil which they have done, in that they have turned to other deities.
Ary Izaho dia hanafina ny tavako tokoa amin’ izany andro izany noho ny ratsy rehetra izay nataony, fa nivily nanaraka andriamani-kafa izy.
19 “Now therefore write this song for yourselves, and teach it to the children of Israel [God prevails]. Put it in their mouths, that this song may be a witness for me against the children of Israel [God prevails].
Ary ankehitriny soraty ho anareo izao fihirana izao, ka ampianaro ny Zanak’ Isiraely, ary aoka tsy ho afaka am-bavany izao fihirana izao mba ho vavolombelona amin’ ny Zanak’ Isiraely.
20 For when I have brought them into the land which I swore to their fathers, flowing with milk and honey, and they have eaten and filled themselves, and grown fat; then they will turn to other deities, and abad ·serve· them, and despise me, and break my covenant.
Fa rehefa entiko any amin’ ny tany tondra-dronono sy tantely, izay nianianako tamin’ ny razany homena azy izy, ary hihinana ka ho voky sy hihamatavy, dia hivily hanaraka andriamani-kafa izy ka hanompo azy, ary handà Ahy ka hivadika ny fanekeko.
21 It will happen, when many evils and troubles have come on them, that this song will testify before them as a witness; for it will not be forgotten out of the mouths of their descendants; for I know their ways and what they are doing today, before I have brought them into the land which I swore.”
Ary raha manjo azy ny zava-dratsy maro sy ny fahoriana, dia ho vavolombelona aminy izao fihirana izao, fa tsy ho afaka am-bavan’ ny taranany izao, fa fantatro ny fisainany izay efa hataony, na dia ankehitriny aza, raha tsy mbola nentiko any amin’ ny tany izay nianianako homena azy izy.
22 So Moses [Drawn out] wrote this song the same day, and taught it the children of Israel [God prevails].
Dia nosoratan’ i Mosesy androtrizay ihany izao fihirana izao ka nampianariny ny Zanak’ Isiraely.
23 He enjoined Joshua [Salvation Yah] the son of Nun, and said, “Be strong and courageous; for you shall bring the children of Israel [God prevails] into the land which I swore to them. I will be with you.”
Ary Jehovah nandidy an’ i Josoa, zanak’ i Nona, ka nanao hoe: Mahereza sy matanjaha; fa ianao no hitondra ny Zanak’ Isiraely hiditra ao amin’ ny tany izay nianianako taminy homena azy, ary homba anao Aho.
24 When Moses [Drawn out] had finished writing the words of this Torah ·Teaching· in a book, until they were finished,
Ary rehefa voasoratr’ i Mosesy teo amin’ ny boky avokoa ny tenin’ ity lalàna ity,
25 Moses [Drawn out] enjoined the Levites [Descendants of United with], who bore the ark of Adonai’s covenant, saying,
dia nandidy ny Levita, izay mpitondra ny fiaran’ ny faneken’ i Jehovah, izy ka nanao hoe:
26 “Take this book of the Torah ·Teaching·, and put it by the side of the ark of Adonai’s covenant your God, that it may be there for a witness against you.
Raiso ity bokin’ ny lalàna ity, ka apetraho eo anilan’ ny fiaran’ ny faneken’ i Jehovah Andriamanitrareo mba ho vavolombelona aminao.
27 For I know your rebellion, and your stiff neck. Behold, while I am yet alive with you today, you have been rebellious against Adonai. How much more after my death?
Fa izaho mahalala ny ditranao sy ny hamafi-hatokao; indro, na dia mbola velona eto aminareo ankehitriny aza aho, dia miodina amin’ i Jehovah ianareo, ka mainka fa rehefa maty aho.
28 Assemble to me all the elders of your tribes, and your officers, that I may speak these words in their ears, and call heaven and earth to witness against them.
Vorio ho eto amiko ny loholona rehetra amin’ ny firenenareo sy ny mpifehy anareo, mba holazaiko eo anatrehany izao teny izao; ary hiantso ny lanitra sy ny tany ho vavolombelona aminy aho.
29 For I know that after my death you will utterly corrupt yourselves, and turn aside from the way which I have enjoined you; and evil will happen to you in the latter days; because you will do what Adonai sees as evil and provoke him to anger by your deeds.”
Fa fantatro fa rehefa maty aho, dia hanao ratsy tokoa ianareo ka hiala amin’ ny lalana izay nasaiko nalehanareo; dia ho tratry ny loza ianareo any am-parany, satria hanao izay ratsy eo imason’ i Jehovah ianareo ka hampahatezitra Azy amin’ ny asan’ ny tananareo.
30 Moses [Drawn out] spoke in the ears of all the assembly of Israel [God prevails] the words of this song, until they were finished.
Dia nolazain’ i Mosesy teo anatrehan’ ny fiangonana, dia ny Isiraely rehetra, ny tenin’ izao fihirana izao mandra-pahavitany.
