Zephaniah 3

1 Woe to her that is rebellious and polluted, The oppressing city!

൧മത്സരവും മലിനതയും നിറഞ്ഞതും പീഡിപ്പിക്കുന്നതും ആയ നഗരത്തിന് അയ്യോ കഷ്ടം!

2 She listeneth to no voice, She receiveth not admonition; She trusteth not in Jehovah, She draweth not near to her God.

൨അവൾ യഹോവയുടെ വാക്ക് കേട്ടനുസരിച്ചിട്ടില്ല; പ്രബോധനം കൈക്കൊണ്ടിട്ടില്ല; യഹോവയിൽ ആശ്രയിച്ചിട്ടില്ല; തന്റെ ദൈവത്തോട് അടുത്തുവന്നിട്ടുമില്ല.

3 Her princes within her are roaring lions; Her judges are evening wolves; They reserve nothing for the morning.

൩അതിനകത്ത് അതിന്റെ പ്രഭുക്കന്മാർ ഗർജ്ജിക്കുന്ന സിംഹങ്ങൾ; അതിന്റെ ന്യായാധിപതിമാർ വൈകുന്നേരത്തെ ചെന്നായ്ക്കൾ; അവർ പ്രഭാതകാലത്തേക്ക് ഒന്നും ശേഷിപ്പിക്കുന്നില്ല.

4 Her prophets are vainglorious, Men of treachery; Her priests pollute the sanctuary, They violate the law.

൪അതിന്റെ പ്രവാചകന്മാർ അല്പബുദ്ധികളും വിശ്വാസപാതകന്മാരും ആകുന്നു; അതിന്റെ പുരോഹിതന്മാർ വിശുദ്ധമന്ദിരത്തെ അശുദ്ധമാക്കി, ന്യായപ്രമാണം ലംഘിക്കുന്നു.

5 But Jehovah is just in the midst of her; He doeth no iniquity. Every morning bringeth he his righteousness to light; he faileth not; Yet the wicked knoweth not shame.

൫യഹോവ അതിന്റെ മദ്ധ്യത്തിൽ നീതിമാനാകുന്നു; അവൻ നീതികേട് ചെയ്യുന്നില്ല; രാവിലേതോറും അവൻ തന്റെ ന്യായത്തെ തെറ്റാതെ വെളിപ്പെടുത്തുന്നു; നീതികെട്ടവനോ നാണം എന്തെന്നറിഞ്ഞുകൂടാ.

6 I have cut off nations; their towers are destroyed; I have laid waste their streets so that none passeth through; Their cities are made desolate, without a man, without an inhabitant.

൬ഞാൻ ജനതകളെ ഛേദിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു; അവരുടെ കോട്ടകൾ ശൂന്യമാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു; ഞാൻ അവരുടെ വീഥികളെ ആരും കടന്നുപോകാത്തവിധം ശൂന്യമാക്കി, അവരുടെ പട്ടണങ്ങൾ ഒരു മനുഷ്യനും നിവാസിയും ഇല്ലാതെ നശിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

7 Then I said, “Surely thou wilt fear me; thou wilt receive admonition, That thy habitation may not be cut off, As I have commanded concerning thee.” But they were diligent to commit iniquity In all their doings.

൭“നീ എന്നെ ഭയപ്പെട്ട് പ്രബോധനം സ്വീകരിക്കുക” എന്ന് ഞാൻ കല്പിച്ചു; എന്നാൽ ഞാൻ തീരുമാനിച്ചതുപോലെ അവളുടെ ഭവനത്തിൽ നിന്ന് ഛേദിക്കപ്പെടുകയില്ലായിരുന്നു; പക്ഷേ അവർ ജാഗ്രതയോടെ തങ്ങളുടെ ദുഷ്പ്രവൃത്തികൾ ചെയ്തുപോന്നു.

8 Therefore wait for me, saith Jehovah. Until the day when I rise up to the prey. For my purpose is to gather the nations, to assemble the kingdoms, To pour upon them my indignation, Even all the heat of my wrath. For with the fire of mine anger shall all the earth be devoured.

൮അതുകൊണ്ട് “ഞാൻ സാക്ഷിയായി എഴുന്നേല്ക്കുന്ന ദിവസംവരെ എനിക്കായി കാത്തിരിക്കുക” എന്ന് യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാട്. എന്റെ ക്രോധവും എന്റെ ഉഗ്രകോപവും പകരേണ്ടതിന് ജനതകളെ ചേർക്കുവാനും രാജ്യങ്ങളെ കൂട്ടുവാനും ഞാൻ തീരുമാനിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; സർവ്വഭൂമിയും എന്റെ തീക്ഷ്ണതാഗ്നിക്ക് ഇരയായിത്തീരും.

9 Then will I again bestow upon the nations pure lips, So that they shall all of them call upon the name of Jehovah, And serve him with one consent.

൯അപ്പോൾ സകലജാതികളും യഹോവയുടെ നാമത്തെ വിളിച്ചപേക്ഷിച്ച് ഏകമനസ്സോടെ അവനെ സേവിക്കേണ്ടതിന് ഞാൻ അവർക്ക് നിർമ്മലമായുള്ള അധരങ്ങൾ നൽകും.

10 From beyond the rivers of Ethiopia My suppliants, the sons of my dispersed ones, shall bring my offering.

൧൦കൂശ് നദികളുടെ അക്കരെനിന്ന് എന്റെ നമസ്കാരികൾ, എന്റെ ചിതറിപ്പോയവരുടെ സഭ തന്നെ, എനിക്ക് വഴിപാട് കൊണ്ടുവരും.

11 In that day thou shalt not be ashamed For all thy doings, wherein thou hast transgressed against me; For I will take away from the midst of thee thy proud exulters, And thou shalt no more exalt thyself upon my holy mountain.

൧൧അന്ന് ഞാൻ അവരുടെ മദ്ധ്യത്തില്‍ നിന്ന് അഹങ്കരിച്ച് ഉല്ലസിക്കുന്നവരെ നീക്കിക്കളയും. നീ എന്റെ വിശുദ്ധപർവ്വതത്തിൽ ഇനി അഹങ്കരിക്കാതിരിക്കുന്നതുകൊണ്ട് നീ എന്നോട് അതിക്രമമായി ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്ന സകലപ്രവൃത്തികളുംനിമിത്തം അന്ന് ലജ്ജിക്കേണ്ടിവരുകയില്ല.

12 I will leave in the midst of thee a humble and lowly people, Who trust in the name of Jehovah.

൧൨ഞാൻ നിന്റെ നടുവിൽ താഴ്മയും ദാരിദ്ര്യവും ഉള്ള ജനത്തെ ശേഷിപ്പിക്കും; അവർ യഹോവയുടെ നാമത്തിൽ ശരണം പ്രാപിക്കും.

13 The residue of Israel shall not do iniquity, nor speak falsehood; Neither shall a deceitful tongue be found in their mouth; Therefore shall they feed and lie down, and none shall make them afraid.

൧൩യിസ്രായേലിൽ അവശേഷിച്ചവർ നീതികേട് പ്രവർത്തിക്കുകയില്ല; ഭോഷ്കുപറയുകയുമില്ല; ചതിവുള്ള നാവ് അവരുടെ വായിൽ ഉണ്ടാകുകയില്ല; അവർ ആടുമാടുകളെ മേയുകയും സുഖമായി വിശ്രമിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യും; ആരും അവരെ ഭയപ്പെടുത്തുകയുമില്ല.

14 Sing, O daughter of Zion! Shout, O Israel! Rejoice and exult with all thy heart, O daughter of Jerusalem!

൧൪സീയോൻപുത്രിയേ, ഘോഷിച്ചാനന്ദിക്കുക; യിസ്രായേലേ, ആർപ്പിടുക; യെരൂശലേം പുത്രിയേ, പൂർണ്ണഹൃദയത്തോടെ സന്തോഷിച്ചുല്ലസിക്ക.

15 Jehovah hath taken away thy punishments; He hath removed thine enemies. The king of Israel, Jehovah, is in the midst of thee; Thou shalt see evil no more.

൧൫യഹോവ നിന്റെ ന്യായവിധികളെ മാറ്റി, നിന്റെ ശത്രുവിനെ നീക്കിക്കളഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു; യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ രാജാവായ യഹോവ നിന്റെ മദ്ധ്യത്തിൽ ഇരിക്കുന്നു; ഇനി നീ അനർത്ഥം കാണുകയില്ല.

16 In that day shall it be said to Jerusalem, Fear not! And to Zion, Let not thy hands hang down!

൧൬അന്ന് അവർ യെരൂശലേമിനോട്: “ഭയപ്പെടരുത്” എന്നും സീയോനോട്: “അധൈര്യപ്പെടരുത്” എന്നും പറയും.

17 Jehovah thy God will be in the midst of thee; The mighty one will save thee. He will rejoice over thee with gladness; He will pardon thee in his love; He will exult over thee with singing.

൧൭നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ രക്ഷിക്കുന്ന വീരനായി നിന്റെ മദ്ധ്യേ ഇരിക്കുന്നു; അവൻ നിന്നിൽ അത്യന്തം സന്തോഷിക്കും; തന്റെ സ്നേഹത്താൽ അവൻ പുതുതാക്കുന്നു; ഉത്സവദിനത്തിലെപ്പോലെ അവൻ നിന്നിൽ ആനന്ദിക്കും.

18 I will gather them that mourn, far from the solemn assembly, They were far from thee; the reproach was a burden upon thee.

൧൮ലജ്ജാഭാരം വഹിച്ചവളായ നിനക്കുള്ളവരായി സംഘത്തെ വിട്ടു ദുഃഖിക്കുന്നവരെ ഞാൻ ചേർത്തുകൊള്ളും.

19 Behold, at that time I will destroy all that afflict thee; And I will save the halting, and gather the scattered, And I will make them a praise and a name In every land where they have been put to shame.

൧൯നിന്നെ ക്ലേശിപ്പിക്കുന്നവരോട് ഞാൻ ആ കാലത്ത് ഇടപെടും; ഞാൻ മുടന്തരെ രക്ഷിക്കുകയും ചിതറിപ്പോയതിനെ ശേഖരിക്കുകയും സർവ്വഭൂമിയിലും ലജ്ജ നേരിട്ടവരെ പ്രശംസയും കീർത്തിയുമാക്കി തീർക്കുകയും ചെയ്യും.

20 At that time I will bring you back, And at that time I will gather you; For I will make you a name and a praise among all the nations of the earth, When I bring back your captives before your eyes, saith Jehovah.

൨൦ആ കാലത്ത് ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളെ വരുത്തുകയും, ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളെ ശേഖരിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യും; നിങ്ങളുടെ കൺമുൻപിൽ ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളുടെ പ്രവാസികളെ മടക്കിവരുത്തുമ്പോൾ ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളെ ഭൂമിയിലെ സകലജനതകളുടെയും ഇടയിൽ കീർത്തിയും പ്രശംസയും ആക്കിത്തീർക്കുമെന്ന് യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു.
