Titus 1
1 Paul, a servant of God, and an apostle of Christ Jesus, for the faith of God's elect, and the knowledge of the truth which is according to godliness,
อนนฺตชีวนสฺยาศาโต ชาตายา อีศฺวรภกฺเต โรฺยคฺยสฺย สตฺยมตสฺย ยตฺ ตตฺวชฺญานํ ยศฺจ วิศฺวาส อีศฺวรสฺยาภิรุจิตโลไก รฺลภฺยเต ตทรฺถํ (aiōnios g166)
2 in hope of everlasting life, which God, who cannot lie, promised from the most ancient times, (aiōnios g166)
ยีศุขฺรีษฺฏสฺย เปฺรริต อีศฺวรสฺย ทาส: เปาโล'หํ สาธารณวิศฺวาสาตฺ มม ปฺรกฺฤตํ ธรฺมฺมปุตฺรํ ตีตํ ปฺรติ ลิขมิฯ
3 but in his own seasons manifested his word through the preaching with which I was intrusted by the commandment of God our Saviour:
นิษฺกปฏ อีศฺวร อาทิกาลาตฺ ปูรฺวฺวํ ตตฺ ชีวนํ ปฺรติชฺญาตวานฺ สฺวนิรูปิตสมเย จ โฆษณยา ตตฺ ปฺรกาศิตวานฺฯ
4 to Titus, true child after the common faith: Grace and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Saviour.
มม ตฺราตุรีศฺวรสฺยาชฺญยา จ ตสฺย โฆษณํ มยิ สมรฺปิตมฺ อภูตฺฯ อสฺมากํ ตาต อีศฺวร: ปริตฺราตา ปฺรภุ รฺยีศุขฺรีษฺฏศฺจ ตุภฺยมฺ อนุคฺรหํ ทยำ ศานฺติญฺจ วิตรตุฯ
5 For this cause I left thee behind in Crete, that thou shouldst set in order the things that are wanting, and appoint elders in every city, as I directed thee;
ตฺวํ ยทฺ อสมฺปูรฺณการฺยฺยาณิ สมฺปูรเย รฺมทียาเทศาจฺจ ปฺรตินครํ ปฺราจีนคณานฺ นิโยชเยสฺตทรฺถมหํ ตฺวำ กฺรีตฺยุปทฺวีเป สฺถาปยิตฺวา คตวานฺฯ
6 if any one is without reproach, the husband of one wife, having believing children, that are not accused of dissoluteness, or unruly.
ตสฺมาทฺ โย นโร 'นินฺทิต เอกสฺยา โยษิต: สฺวามี วิศฺวาสินามฺ อปจยสฺยาวาธฺยตฺวสฺย วา โทเษณาลิปฺตานาญฺจ สนฺตานานำ ชนโก ภวติ ส เอว โยคฺย: ฯ
7 For a bishop must be without reproach, as God's steward; not self-willed, not soon angry, not given to wine, not a striker, not greedy of base gain,
ยโต เหโตรทฺยกฺเษเณศฺวรสฺย คฺฤหาทฺยกฺเษเณวานินฺทนีเยน ภวิตวฺยํฯ เตน เสฺวจฺฉาจาริณา โกฺรธินา ปานาสกฺเตน ปฺรหารเกณ โลภินา วา น ภวิตวฺยํ
8 but hospitable, a lover of what is good, discreet, just, holy, temperate,
กินฺตฺวติถิเสวเกน สโลฺลกานุราคิณา วินีเตน นฺยาเยฺยน ธารฺมฺมิเกณ ชิเตนฺทฺริเยณ จ ภวิตวฺยํ,
9 holding fast the sure word according to what he was taught, that he may be able by sound teaching both to exhort, and to refute the gainsayers.
อุปเทเศ จ วิศฺวสฺตํ วากฺยํ เตน ธาริตวฺยํ ยต: ส ยทฺ ยถารฺเถโนปเทเศน โลกานฺ วิเนตุํ วิฆฺนการิณศฺจ นิรุตฺตรานฺ กรฺตฺตุํ ศกฺนุยาตฺ ตทฺ อาวศฺยกํฯ
10 For there are many unruly vain talkers and deceivers, especially they of the circumcision;
ยตเสฺต พหโว 'วาธฺยา อนรฺถกวากฺยวาทิน: ปฺรวญฺจกาศฺจ สนฺติ วิเศษตศฺฉินฺนตฺวจำ มเธฺย เกจิตฺ ตาทฺฤศา โลกา: สนฺติฯ
11 whose mouths must be stopped, since they overturn whole houses, teaching things which they ought not, for the sake of base gain.
เตษาญฺจ วาโคฺรธ อาวศฺยโก ยตเสฺต กุตฺสิตลาภสฺยาศยานุจิตานิ วากฺยานิ ศิกฺษยนฺโต นิขิลปริวาราณำ สุมตึ นาศยนฺติฯ
12 One of themselves, even a prophet of their own, said: “The Cretans are always liars, evil beasts, slothful gluttons.”
เตษำ สฺวเทศีย เอโก ภวิษฺยทฺวาที วจนมิทมุกฺตวานฺ, ยถา, กฺรีตียมานวา: สรฺเวฺว สทา กาปฏฺยวาทิน: ฯ หึสฺรชนฺตุสมานาเสฺต 'ลสาศฺโจทรภารต: ๚
13 This testimony is true; for which cause rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith,
สากฺษฺยเมตตฺ ตถฺยํ, อโต เหโตสฺตฺวํ ตานฺ คาฒํ ภรฺตฺสย เต จ ยถา วิศฺวาเส สฺวสฺถา ภเวยุ
14 not giving heed to Jewish fables, and commandments of men who turn away from the truth.
รฺยิหูทีโยปาขฺยาเนษุ สตฺยมตภฺรษฺฏานำ มานวานามฺ อาชฺญาสุ จ มนำสิ น นิเวศเยยุสฺตถาทิศฯ
15 To the pure all things are pure; but to the defiled and unbelieving nothing is pure, but both their mind and conscience are defiled.
ศุจีนำ กฺฤเต สรฺวฺวาเณฺยว ศุจีนิ ภวนฺติ กินฺตุ กลงฺกิตานามฺ อวิศฺวาสินาญฺจ กฺฤเต ศุจิ กิมปิ น ภวติ ยตเสฺตษำ พุทฺธย: สํเวทาศฺจ กลงฺกิตา: สนฺติฯ
16 They profess that they know God, but by their works they deny him, being abominable and disobedient, and for every good work reprobate.
อีศฺวรสฺย ชฺญานํ เต ปฺรติชานนฺติ กินฺตุ กรฺมฺมภิสฺตทฺ อนงฺคีกุรฺวฺวเต ยตเสฺต ครฺหิตา อนาชฺญาคฺราหิณ: สรฺวฺวสตฺกรฺมฺมณศฺจาโยคฺยา: สนฺติฯ
