Romans 1

1 Paul, a servant of Christ Jesus, a called apostle, set apart to preach the gospel of God,

१प्रेषित होण्यास बोलावलेला, येशू ख्रिस्ताचा दास, देवाच्या सुवार्तेसाठी वेगळा केलेला, पौल ह्याजकडून;

2 which he had promised before by his prophets in the Holy Scriptures,

२देवाने सुवार्तेविषयी आपल्या संदेष्ट्यांद्वारे पवित्र शास्त्रलेखात अगोदरच अभिवचन दिले होते;

3 the gospel concerning his Son, who was born of the seed of David as to the flesh,

३ती सुवार्ता त्याचा पुत्र येशू आपला प्रभू ह्याच्याविषयी आहे, जो देहासंबंधाने दाविदाच्या वंशात जन्मास आला.

4 and shown with power to be the Son of God as to his spirit of holiness, by the resurrection of the dead, Jesus Christ our Lord;

४व पवित्रतेच्या आत्म्याच्या दृष्टी प्रमाणे मरण पावलेल्यातून पुन्हा उठण्याने तो सामर्थ्याने देवाचा पुत्र ठरवला गेला; तो येशू ख्रिस्त आपला प्रभू आहे.

5 through whom we received grace and the office of an apostle in behalf of his name, in order to produce obedience to the faith among all nations;

५त्याच्याद्वारे आम्हास कृपा व प्रेषितपण ही मिळाली आहेत, ह्यासाठी की सर्व राष्ट्रांत त्याच्या नावाकरता विश्वासाचे आज्ञापालन केले जावे.

6 among whom are ye also, the called of Jesus Christ;

६त्यांपैकी तुम्हीही येशू ख्रिस्ताचे होण्यास बोलावलेले आहात.

7 to all the beloved of God at Rome, called, holy: Grace be to you, and peace, from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.

७रोममधील तुम्हा सर्वांस, देवाच्या प्रियांस, पवित्रजन होण्यास बोलावलेल्यांस देव आपला पिता व आपला प्रभू येशू ख्रिस्त ह्यांजकडून तुम्हास कृपा व शांती मिळत राहो.

8 In the first place, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for all of you, that your faith is spoken of throughout the whole world.

८मी तुमच्यातल्या सर्वांसाठी प्रथम येशू ख्रिस्ताच्या द्वारे माझ्या देवाचे उपकार मानतो कारण तुमचा विश्वास जगजाहीर होत आहे.

9 For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of his Son, how constantly I make mention of you, always in my prayers

९मी ज्याच्या पुत्राच्या सुवार्तेत माझ्या आत्म्याने ज्याची सेवा करीत आहे, तो देव माझा साक्षी आहे की, मी निरंतर माझ्या प्रार्थनेत तुमची आठवण करतो;

10 supplicating that, if it be possible, I may at last through the will of God be favored with an opportunity of coming to you.

१०आणि अशी विनवणी करतो की, आता शेवटी शक्यतो देवाच्या इच्छेने तुमच्याकडे माझे येणे व्हावे म्हणून माझा मार्ग मोकळा व्हावा.

11 For I long to see you, that I may impart to you some spiritual gift, which may be for your confirmation;

११कारण तुम्ही स्थिर व्हावे म्हणून तुम्हास काही आत्मिक कृपादान दयावे ह्यासाठी मी तुम्हास भेटण्यास उत्कंठित आहे;

12 that is, that I may be edified among you, and you also, through each other's faith, both yours and mine.

१२म्हणजे आपल्या एकमेकांना तुमच्या व माझ्या, विश्वासाने, मला तुमच्याबरोबर उत्तेजन मिळावे.

13 But I would not have you ignorant, brethren, that I often purposed to come to you, though I have been hindered hitherto, that I might have some fruit of my labors among you also, as among the other gentiles.

१३बंधूंनो, मला जसे इतर परराष्ट्रीयात फळ मिळाले, तसेच तुमच्यात काही फळ मिळावे म्हणून, मी तुमच्याकडे यावे असे पुष्कळदा योजले होते, पण आतापर्यंत अडथळे आले, ह्याविषयी तुम्ही अज्ञानी असावे अशी माझी इच्छा नाही.

14 I am debtor both to Greeks and barbarians, both to the wise and the unwise.

१४मी ग्रीक व बर्बर, ज्ञानी व अज्ञानी, ह्यांचा देणेकरी आहे.

15 So, according to my ability, I am ready to preach the gospel to you also in Rome.

१५म्हणून मी माझ्याकडून रोममधील तुम्हासही सुवार्ता सांगण्यास उत्सुक आहे.

16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel; for to every believer, to the Jew first and also to the Greek, it is the power of God unto salvation.

१६कारण मला सुवार्तेची लाज वाटत नाही कारण विश्वास ठेवणार्‍या प्रत्येकाला तारणासाठी, ती देवाचे सामर्थ्य आहे; प्रथम यहूद्याला आणि ग्रीकालाही.

17 For therein is revealed the righteousness which is of God from faith to faith; as it is written, “But the righteous shall live by faith.”

१७कारण तिच्या द्वारे देवाचे नीतिमत्त्व विश्वासाने विश्वासासाठी प्रकट होते कारण असा शास्त्रलेख आहे की, “नीतिमान विश्वासाने जगेल.”

18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all impiety and unrighteousness of men, who keep down the truth in unrighteousness.

१८वास्तविक जी माणसे अभक्ती, सत्य दाबतात अशा लोकांच्या अनीतीवर देवाचा क्रोध स्वर्गातून प्रकट होतो.

19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest within them; for God made it manifest to them.

१९कारण देवाविषयी प्राप्त होणारे ज्ञान त्यांच्यात दिसून येते; कारण देवाने स्वतः त्यांना ते प्रकट केले आहे.

20 For, ever since the creation of the world, his invisible attributes, even his eternal power and divinity, being perceived from his works, are clearly seen, so that they might be without excuse. (aïdios g126)

२०कारण जगाच्या उत्पत्तीपासून करण्यात आलेल्या गोष्टींवरून त्याचे सर्वकाळचे सामर्थ्य व देवपण या त्याच्या अदृश्य गोष्टी समजत असल्याने स्पष्ट दिसतात, म्हणून त्यांना काही सबब नाही. (aïdios g126)

21 Because though they knew God, they did not glorify him as God, nor were they thankful to him; but became perverse in their reasonings, and their senseless minds were darkened;

२१कारण त्यांनी देवाला ओळखले असता त्यांनी त्याचे देव म्हणून गौरव केले नाही किंवा उपकार मानले नाहीत. पण ते स्वतःच्या कल्पनांत विचारहीन झाले आणि त्यांचे निर्बुद्ध मन अंधकारमय झाले.

22 professing to be wise, they became fools,

२२स्वतःला ज्ञानी म्हणता म्हणता ते मूर्ख बनले.

23 and for the glory of the incorruptible God they substituted images of corruptible man, and of birds and four-footed beasts and creeping things.

२३आणि अविनाशी देवाच्या गौरवाऐवजी त्यांनी नाशवंत मनुष्य, तसेच पक्षी आणि चतुष्पाद पशू व सरपटणारे प्राणी ह्यांच्या स्वरूपाची प्रतिमा केली.

24 Wherefore God also gave them over in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, to debase their bodies with one another;

२४म्हणून त्यांना आपल्या शरीराचा त्यांचा त्यांच्यातच दुरुपयोग करण्यास देवानेदेखील त्यांना त्यांच्या अंतःकरणातील वासनांद्वारे अमंगळपणाच्या स्वाधीन केले.

25 because they changed the true God for false gods, and adored and worshipped created things rather than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. (aiōn g165)

२५त्यांनी देवाच्या सत्याच्या ऐवजी असत्य घेतले आणि निर्माणकर्त्याच्या जागी निर्मितीची उपासना व सेवा केली. तो निर्माणकर्ता तर युगानुयुग धन्यवादित देव आहे. आमेन. (aiōn g165)

26 For this cause God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women indulged in unnatural lust,

२६या कारणामुळे देवाने त्यांना दुर्वासनांच्या स्वाधीन केले; कारण त्यांच्या स्त्रियांनीही आपला नैसर्गिक उपभोग सोडून अनैसर्गिक प्रकार स्वीकारले;

27 and in like manner the men also, neglecting the natural use of the female, burned with lust for one another, men with men practising that which is shameful, and receiving in themselves the due recompense of their error.

२७आणि तसेच पुरुषांनीही स्त्रियांचा नैसर्गिक उपभोग सोडून ते आपल्या वासनांत एकमेकांविषयी कामसंतप्त होऊन पुरुषांनी पुरुषांशी अयोग्य कर्म केले आणि त्यांनी आपल्या संभ्रमाचे योग्य प्रतिफळ आपल्याठायी भोगले.

28 And as they did not choose to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them up to a reprobate mind, to do things which are shameful;

२८आणि त्यांना देवाला स्मरणात ठेवणेही न आवडल्यामुळे देवाने त्यांना अनुचित गोष्टी करीत राहण्यास विपरीत मनाच्या स्वाधीन केले.

29 being filled with all unrighteousness, malice, covetousness, wickedness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, malignity; backbiters,

२९ते सर्व प्रकारच्या अनीतीने, दुष्टतेने, लोभाने आणि कुवृत्तीने भरलेले असून मत्सर, खून, कलह, कपट, दुष्ट भाव, ह्यांनी पूर्ण भरलेले; कानगोष्टी करणारे,

30 slanderers, hated of God, insolent, proud, boasters, inventors of mischief, disobedient to parents,

३०निंदक, देवद्वेष्टे, टवाळखोर, गर्विष्ठ, प्रौढी मिरवणारे, वाईट गोष्टी शोधून काढणारे, आई-वडीलांचा अवमान करणारे,

31 senseless, faithless, without natural affection, without pity;

३१निर्बुद्ध, वचनभंग करणारे, दयाहीन व निर्दय झाले.

32 who, although knowing the ordinance of God, that they who practise such things deserve death, not only do them themselves, but approve of those who do them.

३२आणि या गोष्टी करणारे मरणाच्या शिक्षेस पात्र आहेत हा देवाचा न्याय त्यांना कळत असून ते त्या करतात एवढेच केवळ नाही, पण अशा गोष्टी करणार्‍यांना ते संमतीही देतात.
