Romans 8
1 There is then now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.
Böylece Mesih İsa'ya ait olanlara artık hiçbir mahkûmiyet yoktur.
2 For the law of the Spirit of life set me free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death.
Çünkü yaşam veren Ruh'un yasası, Mesih İsa sayesinde beni günahın ve ölümün yasasından özgür kıldı.
3 For what the Law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God hath done, who on account of sin sent his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and passed sentence of condemnation on sin in the flesh;
İnsan benliğinden ötürü güçsüz olan Kutsal Yasa'nın yapamadığını Tanrı yaptı. Öz Oğlu'nu günahlı insan benzerliğinde günah sunusu olarak gönderip günahı insan benliğinde yargıladı.
4 so that what is required by the Law might be accomplished in us, who walk not according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.
Öyle ki, Yasa'nın gereği, benliğe göre değil, Ruh'a göre yaşayan bizlerde yerine gelsin.
5 For they who are according to the flesh have their mind on the things of the flesh; but they who are according to the Spirit, on the things of the Spirit.
Benliğe uyanlar benlikle ilgili, Ruh'a uyanlarsa Ruh'la ilgili işleri düşünürler.
6 For the mind of the flesh is death; but the mind of the Spirit life and peace.
Benliğe dayanan düşünce ölüm, Ruh'a dayanan düşünceyse yaşam ve esenliktir.
7 Because the mind of the flesh is enmity against God; for it doth not submit itself to the Law of God, neither indeed can it.
Çünkü benliğe dayanan düşünce Tanrı'ya düşmandır; Tanrı'nın Yasası'na boyun eğmez, eğemez de...
8 And they who are in the flesh cannot please God.
Benliğin denetiminde olanlar Tanrı'yı hoşnut edemezler.
9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwelleth in you. But if any one hath to not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
Ne var ki, Tanrı'nın Ruhu içinizde yaşıyorsa, benliğin değil, Ruh'un denetimindesiniz. Ama içinde Mesih'in Ruhu olmayan kişi Mesih'in değildir.
10 And if Christ is in you, the body indeed is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.
Eğer Mesih içinizdeyse, bedeniniz günah yüzünden ölü olmakla birlikte, aklanmış olduğunuz için ruhunuz diridir.
11 But if the Spirit of him who raised up Jesus from the dead dwelleth in you, he who raised up Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies, because of his Spirit that dwelleth in you.
Mesih İsa'yı ölümden dirilten Tanrı'nın Ruhu içinizde yaşıyorsa, Mesih'i ölümden dirilten Tanrı, içinizde yaşayan Ruhu'yla ölümlü bedenlerinize de yaşam verecektir.
12 So then, brethren, we are debtors not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh.
Öyleyse kardeşlerim, borçluyuz ama, benliğe göre yaşamak için benliğe borçlu değiliz.
13 For if ye live according to the flesh, ye are sure to die; but if by the Spirit ye make an end of the deeds of the body, ye will live.
Çünkü benliğe göre yaşarsanız öleceksiniz; ama bedenin kötü işlerini Ruh'la öldürürseniz yaşayacaksınız.
14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are sons of God.
Tanrı'nın Ruhu'yla yönetilenlerin hepsi Tanrı'nın oğullarıdır.
15 For ye did not receive the spirit of bondage so as to be again in fear; but ye received the spirit of adopted children, whereby we cry, Abba, Father!
Çünkü sizi yeniden korkuya sürükleyecek kölelik ruhunu almadınız, oğulluk ruhunu aldınız. Bu ruhla, “Abba, Baba!” diye sesleniriz.
16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are children of God;
Ruh'un kendisi, bizim ruhumuzla birlikte, Tanrı'nın çocukları olduğumuza tanıklık eder.
17 and if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and fellow-heirs with Christ; if indeed we are suffering with him, that we may also be glorified with him.
Eğer Tanrı'nın çocuklarıysak, aynı zamanda mirasçıyız. Mesih'le birlikte yüceltilmek üzere Mesih'le birlikte acı çekiyorsak, Tanrı'nın mirasçılarıyız, Mesih'le ortak mirasçılarız.
18 For I esteem the sufferings of the present time as of no account, when compared with the glory which is about to be revealed to us.
Kanım şu ki, bu anın acıları, gözümüzün önüne serilecek yücelikle karşılaştırılmaya değmez.
19 For the earnest expectation of the creation is waiting for the manifestation of the sons of God.
Yaratılış, Tanrı çocuklarının ortaya çıkmasını büyük özlemle bekliyor.
20 For the creation was brought into subjection to vanity not of its own will, but by reason of him who put it into subjection,
Çünkü yaratılış amaçsızlığa teslim edildi. Bu da yaratılışın isteğiyle değil, onu amaçsızlığa teslim eden Tanrı'nın isteğiyle oldu. Çünkü yaratılışın, yozlaşmaya köle olmaktan kurtarılıp Tanrı çocuklarının yüce özgürlüğüne kavuşturulması umudu vardı.
21 in hope that even the creation itself will be set free from the bondage of corruption and brought into the freedom of the glory of the children of God.
22 For we know that the whole creation is together groaning and suffering the pains of labor, up to this time;
Bütün yaratılışın şu ana dek birlikte inleyip doğum ağrısı çektiğini biliyoruz.
23 and not only so, but even we ourselves also, though having the first-fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption as sons, for the redemption of our body.
Yalnız yaratılış değil, biz de –evet Ruh'un turfandasına sahip olan bizler de– evlatlığa alınmayı, yani bedenlerimizin kurtulmasını özlemle bekleyerek içimizden inliyoruz.
24 For we were saved only in hope. But hope which is seen is not hope; how can a man hope for that which he seeth?
Çünkü bu umutla kurtulduk. Ama görülen umut, umut değildir. Gördüğü şeyi kim umut eder?
25 But if we hope for that which we do not see, then do we with patience wait for it.
Oysa görmediğimize umut bağlarsak, sabırla bekleyebiliriz.
26 In like manner the Spirit also helpeth our weakness; for we know not what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit itself intercedeth with groans which cannot be expressed in words.
Bunun gibi, Ruh da güçsüzlüğümüzde bize yardım eder. Ne için dua etmemiz gerektiğini bilmeyiz, ama Ruh'un kendisi, sözle anlatılamaz iniltilerle bizim için aracılık eder.
27 But he that searcheth the hearts knoweth the mind of the Spirit, because it intercedeth for the holy according to the will of God.
Yürekleri araştıran Tanrı, Ruh'un düşüncesinin ne olduğunu bilir. Çünkü Ruh, Tanrı'nın isteği uyarınca kutsallar için aracılık eder.
28 We know moreover that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose.
Tanrı'nın, kendisini sevenlerle, amacı uyarınca çağrılmış olanlarla birlikte her durumda iyilik için etkin olduğunu biliriz.
29 For he determined beforehand that those whom he foreknew should be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the first-born among many brethren.
Çünkü Tanrı önceden bildiği kişileri Oğlu'nun benzerliğine dönüştürmek üzere önceden belirledi. Öyle ki, Oğul birçok kardeş arasında ilk doğan olsun.
30 And those whom he before appointed, he also called; and those whom he called, he also accepted as righteous; and those whom he accepted as righteous, he also glorified.
Tanrı önceden belirlediği kişileri çağırdı, çağırdıklarını akladı ve akladıklarını yüceltti.
31 What shall we then say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?
Öyleyse buna ne diyelim? Tanrı bizden yanaysa, kim bize karşı olabilir?
32 He who spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not also with him freely give us all things?
Öz Oğlu'nu bile esirgemeyip O'nu hepimiz için ölüme teslim eden Tanrı, O'nunla birlikte bize her şeyi bağışlamayacak mı?
33 Who shall bring any charge against the chosen of God? God is he who accepteth them as righteous.
Tanrı'nın seçtiklerini kim suçlayacak? Onları aklayan Tanrı'dır.
34 Who is he that condemneth? Christ is he that died, yea rather, who rose again, who is also at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.
Kim suçlu çıkaracak? Ölmüş, üstelik dirilmiş olan Mesih İsa, Tanrı'nın sağındadır ve bizim için aracılık etmektedir.
35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ for us? Shall affliction or distress or persecution or famine or nakedness or peril or sword?
Mesih'in sevgisinden bizi kim ayırabilir? Sıkıntı mı, elem mi, zulüm mü, açlık mı, çıplaklık mı, tehlike mi, kılıç mı?
36 As it is written, “For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we were accounted as sheep for slaughter.”
Yazılmış olduğu gibi: “Senin uğruna bütün gün öldürülüyoruz, Kasaplık koyun sayılıyoruz.”
37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors, through him that loved us.
Ama bizi sevenin aracılığıyla bu durumların hepsinde galiplerden üstünüz.
38 For I am persuaded, that neither death nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers,
Eminim ki, ne ölüm, ne yaşam, ne melekler, ne yönetimler, ne şimdiki ne gelecek zaman, ne güçler, ne yükseklik, ne derinlik, ne de yaratılmış başka bir şey bizi Rabbimiz Mesih İsa'da olan Tanrı sevgisinden ayırmaya yetecektir.
39 nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing will be able to separate us from the love of God for us, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
